Chapter 193 - Orario in Turmoil!

Chapter 61 – Orario in Turmoil!

On the other side of the battlefield, Ottar's sharp instincts picked up on something subtle—something off about Akira's body.

As a Boaz from the Beastman race, and especially after activating Vana Arganture, Ottar's physical senses had been heightened to an extraordinary degree.

He immediately sensed it—Akira's body had entered an overload state. It was unmistakable. A telltale sign of someone forcing their power far beyond what their physical body could endure.

"Overload, huh?" Ottar narrowed his eyes. "Then this... is my chance."

In the blink of an eye, Ottar moved.

As a warrior—no, as a true combatant—he would never let an opportunity like this slip away.

He charged in with ruthless momentum, launching a relentless flurry of strikes. His fists came down like a torrential downpour, hammering Akira with unrelenting force.

But Akira was no amateur. Even with his body nearing its limit, he remained composed, his defense unbroken. Thanks to the previous Boost activations, his strength had increased yet again—enough to withstand Ottar's onslaught head-on.

Gradually, though, the tide began to shift.

Ottar's breath caught in his throat. He could feel it—Shin Akira's strength was once again matching his own… no, surpassing it.

From Akira's side, despite his body being pushed to the brink by repeated boosts, something deep within him stirred.

His blood felt like it was boiling.

His battle instincts—long buried beneath restraint and calculation—rose to the surface.

『Boost!』

Another surge of power tore through his limbs.

His body was already overloaded… and now, another layer of pressure crushed down on him. Pain flared in his joints, his muscles screaming in protest.

But that pain didn't slow him down—it fueled him.

His eyes burned with an unquenchable flame—a thirst for battle, a hunger to push beyond his limits.

The dragon blood within him, inherited from Ddraig, was beginning to roar.

Back in the past, Ddraig had clashed endlessly with Albion not out of hatred—but because Albion had been the only worthy rival. The only one who could match him blow for blow.

That kind of balanced rivalry—where domination was possible, but not absolute victory—was something exceptionally rare.

And since both were dragons, their conflict was more than just a feud.

It was fate.

They were eternal enemies... and eternal equals.

Now, with Ddraig's legacy coursing through his veins, Akira could feel that same fire taking root in his heart.

And fused with the feral, beast-like combat style he had inherited from Enkidu—raw, instinctual, and savage—the result was undeniable:

This was the real Shin Akira.

"Now DIE!"

His fist slammed into Ottar's gut with devastating force.

Even Ottar, who had withstood countless life-threatening blows in his career, was shocked by the sheer power behind that punch. The air was knocked from his lungs as he was hurled backward, crashing into the ground and clutching his abdomen.

He didn't scream. He didn't complain. But the damage was done—and it was serious.

"Impossible... this power…"

"I'm stronger than you now," Akira said coldly.

With a thunderous kick, he sent Ottar flying again.

Though Akira had temporarily surpassed Ottar through sheer stat amplification, that kind of power didn't come without cost.

Each second that passed, his body creaked under the weight of its own strength. He was walking a razor-thin edge—if he pushed any further, he wouldn't need to be hit. His body would collapse on its own.

It reminded him of his very first real fight in the world of High School DxD.

Back then, even though Azazel had been holding back and toying with him, Akira had nearly died just trying to survive.

Azazel didn't even need to attack seriously—Akira had nearly destroyed himself just trying to keep up. That was the sheer gap between them.

And it was something he would never forget.

Now, with Ottar down again, Akira decided it was time to end it.

He raised his hand.

Crimson energy gathered in his palm, condensing into a searing orb of death. The air twisted around it, heavy with destruction.

"Crimson Flame of the Dragon."

A wave of blazing red energy surged forward, vaporizing everything in its path.

The ground split wide open beneath it, and a deep ravine was carved instantly. The sheer temperature melted and crystallized the earth itself, leaving behind a gleaming trail of scorched crystal.

"SHIN... AKIRA!!"

Ottar let out a furious roar as the attack approached.

Even now—outmatched, bleeding, broken—he refused to accept defeat. In his heart, he still believed this outcome was only possible because Akira wielded a divine artifact. Not because he was truly stronger.

A blinding explosion rocked the land.

A towering mushroom cloud rose into the sky.

The blast tore apart everything within a hundred-meter radius. The force of the explosion was far too massive to be hidden.

Even from the distant heart of Orario, people felt the tremors.

— — —

"...What was that sound?"

Inside Twilight Manor, Goddess Loki furrowed her brow. A heavy sense of dread settled in her gut.

With most of her Familia off on an expedition, only a handful of lower-level adventurers remained. For now, she chose not to intervene.

— — —

"What's going on, nya~?"

At the Hostess of Fertility, Anya the catgirl waitress flinched as the windows rattled violently from the shockwave.

"That was magic," replied Ryuu, the elf, having just finished wiping down a table. As a high-level mage, she instantly recognized the intensity of the spell's mana signature.

It was terrifying—far beyond anything she'd ever studied or witnessed.

Similar reactions spread across all of Orario.

The city only had one Level 7 adventurer… but dozens of Level 6s.

And all of them sensed the anomaly.

— — —

Deep beneath the Guild's headquarters, in the sacred underground altar, a solemn figure sat upon a divine throne.

Flames danced from sacred torches as the ancient god watched silently.

This was no ordinary deity.

This was Uranus, the prime god of Orario. The one who established its foundations. The one who forged the first divine contract with mortals, and who sealed the Dungeon's wrath with his holy power.

He was the architect of the world's peace.

Even now, Uranus remained in prayer—channeling his divine energy to suppress the Dungeon's depths, ensuring that monsters never again poured into the surface like they did in the ancient wars.

Without Uranus, Orario would not exist.

"A foreign aura… and Ottar's…"

He opened his eyes slowly.

"It seems... Orario's peace is about to end."

Uranus did not know Shin Akira.

To him, Akira was just a nameless new adventurer, barely a month into his life in the city.

No one could have imagined he would be the one to shake the foundations of everything.

No one—except her.

From the highest tower of Babel, the goddess Freya watched with her divine gaze.

Eyes sharper than any mortal's. Eyes that pierced through illusions and lies.

And even she could barely believe what she was seeing.

In just a matter of days…

Ottar, her strongest protector, had fallen.

To Shin Akira.
