On Thursday, It is Seungho's first day on the job, in a small office for an underground news station. The room lay with several cubicles separated by departments; rooms surrounded the edge of the office, vacant for any future meeting, and a warm smell of coffee filled the office. A homey feeling overcame Seungho, maybe it was because of how close and crammed everything was.
"Hey Seungho, come over here for a second…" Manager Kim called over Seungho while he was setting aside papers from the printer.
"Yes Manager Kim"
"Since we don't formal training for you, I need you to start helping around here"
"What is it that you need me to do?"
"Look at this petition, it's from public school students' mothers against the principal and education director over drugs in school" Manager Kim shoved him with a large file, "Call them for a statement, report it to Nari"
The petition, which has over a thousand signatures, is a proposal to replace the principal and education director because of their negligence in the continued drug peddling on school grounds. The principal has done nothing to punish any of the bad actors in this scandal so the parents are demanding a resignation.
It's obvious that the administration is getting paid off, Seungho thought to himself.
Seungho sits in his blank template cubicle, and picks up the phone to call the organizer for this petition to get a proper statement.
"We see our children go to school and return as drug addicts—" The organizer says, "I am not saying this lightly at all; the principal, vice principal and the teacher are not just letting it happen, they are the ones enabling it"
Seungho couldn't just sit by and see the drugs ruin the lives of the very students he wants to protect, if the blood money flows all the way to the school, then I am certain it's Alex Lim's doing. Seungho was ready to pop a vein on his fist, as if I'll let you ruin another life on my watch.
The next day, the clock rings 7:30 at night as Taesik jogs down the middle stair at the lecture hall. It was an evening class that he was teaching, the seats mostly empty with people sprinkled throughout the hall.
"Okay, today we're continuing where we left off, open your book to—" Taesik uncaps his marker as he approaches the white board while reading this instructor's book.
The wooded auditorium creaked from the slightest movement, and when a student exited the lecture hall, he could only make out another person standing outside, not someone he's ever seen on campus or his lectures.
"If you don't mind, I'm gonna step out for a bit—" Taesik says, sprinting past the chairs of students, in his slacks and loafers, to follow the two. He could make out a conversation happening by the stairwell, he kicked open the door to the stairs, stunning the two; what he saw could only have been a handout happening right in front of him.
"Hey, get back to class…" Taesik told the girl, who was one of his students, "I'll handle the rest", he grabbed the pills out of her hand.
However, the dealer turns running down the stairs grabbing desperately at the rails and jumping from the top of each set of the stairs, but as he thought he was gonna get away, Taesik caught up without breaking a sweat.
Taesik, pushes his face into the wall and he starts to moan out of pain, the person was about the age of his freshman students, he bit down on his teeth trying to out of Taesik's grasp but he was not bulging, yet the dealer glared at Taesik with red in his eyes.
"How did someone like you get these?" Taesik pushed him into the wall once again, "If you wanna leave here alive, then you better spit it out quick"
"As if, you have no idea who my brother is, you should let me go if you get hurt badly" The dealer yells through the pain, "Let me go!"
Taesik pulls his head back with his hair, before he slams it down against the wall. "If you don't speak up now, I'll have to hound him down too"
"Listen, you don't want to mess with the Yongsan Crew," the dealer smirks, still pinned against the wall, "so let me go while I'm being nice." yeah, now let me go you bastard, the Yongsan Crew will hunt you once I'm out of here, The dealer thought smirking.
"Oh, Yeah?" Taesik towers over the dealer, with a devious smile on his face, looking devilish covered in black aura, he stares at him menacingly.
The dealers' smile faded from his face, he thought he was gonna die just from his bloodlust, shaving helplessly. Whereas, I can't believe they just walk straight into my hand, Taesik thought, praising his luck.
"Hey, how about you lead me to where you got these?" Taesik asks, smiling and shaking the bag of pills.
*Ring, Ring*
"Hey, is something wrong?" Minho sits at his desk, with the phone to his ear as he reclines in his chair.
"We have a lead, I can't reach any of the other guys but we need to act now" Taesik paces back and forth in the stairwell while the dealer sits on the steps looking bruised and battered.
"Okay, where do you want to meet up?" Minho grabs his jacket from his chair and waves at his associates while walking out of the door of his office.
"The LIM Hotel, in Yongsan," Taesik says before hanging up.
