Chapter 135 - Chapter 135: Ning Fengzhi, Gu Rong, and Tang Hao

Chapter 135: Ning Fengzhi, Gu Rong, and Tang Hao

Shrek Academy. After breakfast, the bell rang on time, summoning all students to the academy's training grounds.

Today was particularly lively. Not only were both Dean Flender and Vice Dean Zhao Wuji present, but Yu Xiaogang and several other instructors had also arrived.

Tang San, Xiao Wu, Dai Mubai, Zhu Zhuqing, Oscar, Ning Rongrong, and Ma Hongjun all knew what this meant—the great Yu Xiaogang had arrived.

Just like in their previous life, after battling all night at Soto City's Great Spirit Arena, Oscar broke through to level 30. The next day, under Zhao Wuji's leadership, the group headed into the Star Dou Forest to hunt soul rings.

Thanks to the dragon couple Meng Shu and Chao Tianxiang, Oscar successfully obtained the Phoenix-Tailed Crest Serpent. During the scramble for the Man-Faced Demon Spider, Tang San revealed his second martial soul: the Clear Sky Hammer.

With the Clear Sky Clan as his background, he gained equal footing to negotiate with the dragon couple. He reasoned with them, stating that the spider's ring, being over 2,000 years old, would explode Meng Yiran if she tried to absorb it. After a brief hidden weapon duel and earning a kiss from Meng Yiran, Tang San successfully acquired the spider's third ring and the external soul bone: Eight Spider Lances.

After absorbing the more than 2,000-year-old ring and tapping into a year's stored soul power, Tang San broke through to level 34.

Seeing this, Xiao Wu also stopped holding back, as she didn't want to hurt his pride. She condensed her third soul ring and reached level 31.

As a transformed soul beast, Xiao Wu's cultivation speed before level 70 was comparable to someone like Qian Renxue without herb boosts. If Tang San didn't take herbs, he'd never catch up.

Tang Hao arrived at Shrek Academy the afternoon before and had been secretly guarding Tang San—the son with twin martial souls and innate full soul power.

With the spiritual power of a Titled Douluo, Tang Hao easily recognized Xiao Wu's true form as a 100,000-year Soft Bone Rabbit. More shocking was that she and Tang San had been sleeping together!

On one hand, Tang Hao was proud—his son had inherited his taste in women (soul beasts). On the other, he was speechless. Xiao Wu might be the daughter of that soul beast he had killed—her mother, who had once marked him with that red ring.

He had driven her mother to death, and now her daughter was with his son. What would happen if this all came out?

If not for Xiao Wu, Tang Hao would've met Tang San immediately yesterday, apologized for being an absent father, and given him the resources he brought from the Clear Sky Clan to speed up his cultivation.

"Alright, everyone's here. I have a few announcements to make."

Flender walked up to the seven students, sweeping his eyes over them solemnly.

Then he turned to Yu Xiaogang, slinging an arm around his shoulders. "This man needs no introduction. He's the mind behind the 'Ten Core Competencies of Martial Souls,' hailed as the most brilliant theorist in the soul master world and Tang San's personal teacher—Yu Xiaogang. He's also my longtime brother. You may call him 'Master' from now on."

"Starting today, he'll be fully in charge of your education. The rest of us will assist him. You've just returned and are probably still tired, so take today off. Lessons resume tomorrow."

"This trip to the Star Dou Forest produced three new Soul Elders. Ma Hongjun, Zhu Zhuqing—work harder and catch up with the others. Master, anything to add?"

Yu Xiaogang was slightly surprised by the students' respectful gazes. Sending Tang San ahead to show off his strength had clearly been the right move.

But when his eyes passed over Ning Rongrong's delicate face, he froze. She looked eerily like someone he had once loved.

After assigning each of the Shrek Seven Devils a number, he dismissed them.

"Ning Rongrong."

She had only walked a short distance before hearing his voice.

"Yes, Master? Do you need something?"

Yu Xiaogang smiled awkwardly. "Forgive me, Ning Rongrong. May I ask… who is your mother?"

"What? Why do you want to know that? You wouldn't know her even if I told you."

He hesitated for several seconds, then asked, "Could her name be... Bibi Dong?"

Ning Rongrong shouted furiously, "Don't joke about that! That crazy woman is not my mother! Her name is Hua Shuyan!"

"Was it just my imagination then…" Yu Xiaogang murmured as she stormed off. His expression grew heavy. "Bibi Dong… not long after we parted, I heard you had been killed by soul beasts. Even though you're no longer in this world, I'll keep walking the path you guided me on. I'll prove my theory. I will become the true master of soul theory!"

The next morning.

Ning Fengzhi and Bone Douluo arrived at Shrek Academy.

At the entrance were seven bamboo baskets filled with varying numbers of stones. A wooden pavilion stood nearby with a small water basin inside.

They exchanged a glance and walked toward the academy. Bone Douluo expanded his spiritual sense and immediately located Ning Rongrong.

"Why are Ning Fengzhi and Bone Douluo here?" Ghost Panther Douluo, hidden in the shadows, frowned. He surged with soul power, preparing to snatch Xiao Wu when suddenly a song echoed in his mind:

"Raise your head, endless chaos and war. Look back, you are by my side. Shatter fate's curse, and let the story continue."

A Clear Sky Hammer, the size of a water tank, suddenly crashed down into the middle of Shrek Academy.

Yu Xiaogang, the Shrek Seven, and others were stunned. What was happening?

Tang San was the first to react. Ghost Shadow Perplexing Tracks activated as he summoned his own Clear Sky Hammer and shielded Xiao Wu. His eyes turned violet as he locked onto the massive hammer—shrouded in blood-red lightning.

His face froze. A familiar, blood-connected aura radiated from the hammer.

Closing his eyes and opening them again, he now saw a ragged middle-aged man—one-armed and one-legged—standing atop the bloody hammer. Around him spun seven soul rings: two purple, four black, and one red.

"Dad…"

Tears welled up in Tang San's eyes. That man… wasn't it his father, Tang Hao? Why had he suddenly appeared?

"Lord Tang Hao!" Xiao Wu exclaimed, momentarily forgetting that the red-ringed hammer under Tang Hao's feet once belonged to her mother.

Hearing her, Tang Hao nearly fell off the hammer. Does this rabbit really not realize I'm the one who killed her mom? And now she's happily calling him father-in-law?

Dai Mubai, Zhu Zhuqing, Ning Rongrong, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun were all speechless. This man didn't match the terrifying image of the Clear Sky Douluo—who once smashed through the Pope's Palace and crushed Spirit Hall's worshippers at Jialing Pass. Now he had just one arm and one leg?

"Tang Hao?"

Ning Fengzhi and Bone Douluo had just entered and were frowning deeply. Bone Douluo especially noticed that although Tang Hao's soul power was only Soul Sage level, the pressure he gave off was no less than a low-tier Titled Douluo.
