Chapter 78 - Chapter 27: “Flow and Form”

Qingsai and his companions were guided to a tide-hall near the Glasscurrent Sanctum, where water flowed up the walls, forming runes that shimmered with meaning.

Mist-Speaker Selari sat with them over cups of vireleaf tea, its liquid swirling like galaxies.

> "The Soulkindled has walked flame," she said softly. "Now, he must forget fire to embrace the sea."

Sandora leaned in. "We've heard of Water Weaving… but how is it taught?"

Yuwen translated their questions when needed, and the dialogue flowed like the tides:

---

🗨️ Detailed Dialogue (Iskynian + Translation):

> Qingsai (to Yuwen): "Ask her what it means to 'forget fire.'"

Yuwen:

"Selari'ae, kairan yul'flamara—Qingsai ve'nael selava feras aethyr. Mael'ith flamara?"

(Mist-Speaker, bearer of flame Qingsai asks—what does it mean to forget fire?)

Selari (in Iskynian):

"Thael'ir vaena—flamara veras, silven shol. En'del tyren daes ael."

(The answer flows—fire is passion, but water is peace. One cannot carry both into storm.)

> Yuwen (to Qingsai): "She says to hold both fire and water, you must let go of the control fire gave you. Water requires surrender."

Qingsai frowned. "Surrender… That'll be harder than it sounds."

---

The chapter ends with Qingsai standing before a shallow pool inside a meditation chamber, where Selari instructs him:

> "In the ocean, no warrior stands. He floats—or drowns. Let us see which you become."
