Chapter 289: Whirlwind Fox Beyblade — 50,000 Reward Points Lost

"Impossible!"

Sakazuki's eyes nearly popped from his skull.

What he had summoned was the Infernal Flame Demon—a genuine Tier-2 elemental creature born from the lava of hell. Even the weakest of its kind couldn't possibly have its arm severed in a single blow.

By a spinning top, no less? A toy that looked like something from a children's game?

The Infernal Flame Demon, unaffected by the injury, simply shrugged its shoulders.

As a creature of pure elemental energy, it regrew the lost limb almost instantly.

But the regeneration consumed some of its infernal fire essence, causing its body to dim slightly.

Infernal Fire Ring.

The demon raised its head and spread its arms wide, releasing a blazing ring of fire that rippled outward from its body.

It smashed through the shockwaves left behind by the spinning Beyblade.

"Blond brat, I'll send you straight to hell!"

Sakazuki pulled out an energy-replenishing potion and downed it to recover his rapidly draining reserves.

His body was wrapped in armament haki as black as molten iron.

Magma surged from him as he charged alongside the Infernal Flame Demon toward Naruto.

Sakazuki was a top-tier player, and with the demon at his side, Naruto was now essentially fighting a top-tier player and a Tier-2 commander-class monster at the same time.

Even that holy light–wielding blonde woman wouldn't survive this.

He just had to finish the fight before the Infernal Flame Demon's three-minute limit ran out.

Right now,

Admiral Sakazuki was at the peak of his power.

"Sorry. I suck at talking, so I'll just let my fists do the convincing!"

Naruto's face turned serious.

Now that he had summoned his sacred beast Beyblade, he would hold nothing back. It was time to end this.

Poof!

Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Hundreds of clones appeared across the battle space, each beginning to form a Rasengan—then launching sacred beast Beyblades.

In mere seconds, the entire arena was filled with spinning sacred tops.

"What the hell kind of ability is this?!"

Kizaru's eyes widened.

One sacred Beyblade could sever the arm of the Infernal Flame Demon—hundreds could probably rip Sakazuki to shreds.

Vice Admiral Tsuru remained calm and explained, "That's called the Shadow Clone Jutsu—an ability unique to ninja players. The clones are much weaker than the original and break easily. They're not as powerful as they look."

That was according to intel from their information department.

While the clones weren't particularly threatening, they created enough confusion for the user to blend in and execute surprise attacks.

A sneaky and underhanded combat style—just like ninjas.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Smoke exploded everywhere as magma incinerated countless clones.

Sakazuki's nerves were taut. He kept a sharp eye on all the charging clones, waiting for the real Naruto to make his move.

"Cowardly ninja—do you not even have the guts to face me head-on?!"

In the pirate world,

Fights were straightforward. Whether it was a low-bounty pirate or a top-tier monster like Kaido, everyone fought the same way—

Clash and brawl. Fist against fist, blade against blade, Devil Fruit versus Devil Fruit.

Whoever fell first lost.

But ninja combat was the opposite.

Victory was the only goal.

They gathered intelligence, set traps, struck from the shadows. A blend of tactics and ninjutsu turned every fight into a battlefield of wits.

Naruto Uzumaki was one of the rare exceptions—a ninja who liked to charge in headfirst.

Even so, he knew when to mix in a little strategy.

"Come forth—Whirlwind Fox!"

Boom boom boom!

Several shadow clone Beyblades exploded, releasing thick smoke that enveloped the battlefield.

Within it, a glowing cyan illusion took shape at the core of the real Beyblade—projecting from a card embedded in its center.

A golden fox, shrouded in gales of wind, its forehead marked with a crescent moon. It gave a silent howl, and in that moment, the entire Beyblade transformed into the Whirlwind Fox itself—

And shredded the Infernal Flame Demon into pieces.

Splurt.

The Infernal Flame Demon, being an elemental lifeform, relied on an energy core. Once destroyed, it could no longer regenerate.

As its summoner, Sakazuki suffered the backlash. Blood sprayed from his lips.

With the last of his strength, he raised his fists. Haki, magma armor, magma shield—

CRASH!

Defenses sturdy enough to endure even Whitebeard's shockwaves were shattered by the spinning Whirlwind Fox.

[Duel Complete — Winner: Naruto Uzumaki]

[Duel Type: Gambler's Badge — Randomly Drawing Penalty from Loser]

[Result: 50,000 Reward Points]

Prompt: Insufficient points. Equivalent-value skills, equipment, or items will be deducted automatically.

"Quick—transfer 50,000 points to Sakazuki!"

Vice Admiral Tsuru's expression darkened as she barked orders to the logistics officer nearby.

She had already prepared for this possibility.

Thankfully, the penalty was just points. If a skill or equipment had been selected instead, it would have been catastrophic.

A skill worth 50,000 points? The time and effort required to level it up again would be a nightmare.

Not to mention—

Finding the right ability to match one's combat style often meant using dozens of random draw keys.

That cost wasn't even factored into the item's value.

"Damn it… that little brat!"

Sakazuki exited the battle space with a terrifying expression.

All the nearby Navy officers instinctively lowered their heads, avoiding eye contact with the furious admiral.

Tsuru frowned and said, "Sakazuki, you were too impulsive."

She was the Chief of Staff—and had never authorized an attack on Konoha.

Sakazuki had acted on his own, and the consequences went far beyond losing 50,000 points.

This was the first official clash between the Navy and Konoha's ninja.

Watched live by countless players, the Navy's strongest combatant had been utterly defeated.

That blow to their reputation would also become ammunition for the Revolutionary Army and the World Government to use against them.

"…Understood."

Sakazuki didn't argue. This was entirely his miscalculation.

Who would've guessed that some kid could be that powerful?

In the pirate world, such things were unheard of.

Every Navy Admiral and Yonko had crawled their way to strength through endless life-or-death battles.

Still not enough.

He had to hunt more monsters.

He had to crush everyone beneath his heel.

Only then could he enforce his vision of justice.

"Uzumaki Naruto… is a serious threat."

In Stoneton City, Mei Terumi's gaze sharpened as she stared at Naruto, the one who had just defeated an Admiral.

Though they'd entered the Reincarnation Game around the same time—

She'd grown much faster, backed by Hidden Mist resources.

But now it seemed… he was catching up.

Naruto's growth rate was beginning to exceed her expectations.

"Even the Navy Admirals are losing?"

On the Eternal Snow Mountain, Revolutionary Army leader Dragon was attempting to establish contact with the Bantu tribe.

Watching Sakazuki fall in the projection, he remained silent.

The pirate world had been chaotic lately, with many recent skirmishes between the Navy and the Revolutionary Army.

He knew Sakazuki's strength well.

For someone like that blond kid to beat him so decisively—Dragon himself was probably the only one in the Revolutionary Army who could've done it.

The ninja-world players… were indeed formidable.

He'd also heard Mei Terumi from the Hidden Mist was in the Stoneton region, same as him.

He wondered—how strong was she?
