Chapter 241 - Chapter 241: Shadow Wrath Set, Asura Evil Light Slash

Chapter 241: Shadow Wrath Set, Asura Evil Light Slash

Whoosh.

A wave rune appeared above Shanks' head, slowly rotating.

He swung his blade.

The rune followed the motion of the sword, releasing a condensed surge of wave energy that turned into a glowing blue orb—

like a miniature sun.

Ghost Imprint Orb.

The dense wave energy twisted and rolled as it slammed into Dalmatian's chest.

The crushing pressure was like a giant stone mill grinding his flesh and bones to dust.

"AAAH!"

Dalmatian screamed.

Waves of Vastaya bloodline energy erupted from his body as sharp claws tore through half his own torso,

allowing him to escape the Ghost Imprint Orb's radius.

"All units, attack!"

He hadn't expected Shanks' game abilities to counter him so effectively.

Gritting his teeth, he downed a healing potion and commanded the Marine giants to move.

Two hundred Marine giants marched forward in unison.

The very ground of the Marine family territory trembled under their steps.

Their massive weapons whirled like a monstrous meat grinder.

Beckman frowned deeply. "Captain, don't underestimate them!"

Individually, these giants were only about vice admiral level.

But in perfect formation—two hundred vice admiral–class giants combined—even the most destructive Yonko, Whitebeard, couldn't wipe them out in one strike.

And if they weren't eliminated quickly, more giants would be summoned to replace them.

That's why the Red-Haired Pirates had been captured,

why Doflamingo had fled.

There was no other way—

the family system's emblem abilities were just too broken.

Marine Headquarters' family emblem was already Level 2.

A Tier-1 peak player like Mihawk could counter it.

His final attack against Smoker might've worked.

But Vice Admiral Tsuru had predicted that,

using Smoker to stall him—leaving both sides heavily wounded.

Now, they could only hope Shanks had reached Tier-1 peak as well.

Beckman looked at his captain with hope,

but Shanks shook his head.

"I've spent 200,000 reward points, but I've only just stepped into the top-tier bracket.

To reach Mihawk or Smoker's level as a Tier-1 peak player… time's too short. I can't do it."

Mihawk had been a player since the Reincarnation Game first began.

Smoker had the full support of Marine HQ.

Both took months to reach their level—probably spending close to 400,000 reward points.

Most of that came from hunting Corrupted Monsters.

Even the Celestial Dragons couldn't cough up that much all at once.

Let alone Shanks—a pirate who didn't care about treasure and never stockpiled assets.

Catching up in a short time? Impossible.

"In that case, Captain, we have to retreat."

Beckman quickly made the call.

In addition to being first mate, he was the brains of the Red-Haired Pirates.

He didn't know what was happening on the other fronts—

whether the Revolutionary Leader or Whitebeard had breached the Marine family's walls.

But the Red-Haired Pirates had clearly lost this battle.

To shatter the wall and crush the giant army,

they now needed a true top-tier player.

Yasopp nodded in agreement.

"Let's go, Captain. We didn't lose to the Navy—we lost to the Reincarnation Game. No shame in that."

Without the power to break through the giant ranks, there was no point in continuing.

As morale dipped, Shanks grinned.

"Come on, guys. I may not be Tier-1 peak, but you're underestimating your captain a little, aren't you?"

Buzz.

A powerful surge of wave energy and Conqueror's Haki exploded outward.

His hair fluttered. Though blindfolded, he locked perfectly onto his enemies.

"Asura's true strength lies in wave force.

Against slightly weaker enemies, it unleashes devastating power."

Shanks grew solemn.

Gripping Gryphon with both hands, the rune above his head dissolved, flowing into the blade.

Six equipped items lit up faintly in his gear panel—now fully activated.

He had scraped together 90,000 reward points to complete most of the [Shadow Wrath] set.

Not the full nine pieces, but enough for this fight.

Boom.

"Something's off… what a powerful wave aura!"

Dalmatian, a beastman with awakened Vastaya bloodline, was the first to sense the surge in Shanks' sword.

The energy wasn't as pure or refined as Smoker's [Five Venom Palm],

but it was massive—crushing.

"Defensive formation!"

He barked the command.

Two hundred massive shields slammed into the ground,

raising an impenetrable wall of iron—two hundred layers thick.

"Can he really do it…?"

Yasopp's voice trembled as he looked at the Giant Shield Wall.

It had blocked everything the Red-Haired Pirates had thrown at it.

As the best sniper in the New World, even he could only break two layers with one shot.

"If not… we run."

Shanks laughed wildly.

Pouring all his strength into the swing, his body nearly touched the ground.

Lightning crackled.

Two wave-infused slashes flew forward, like twin crescent moons—headed straight for the Marine's Shield Wall.

They weren't fast.

In fact, they looked easy to dodge.

But Dalmatian stood frozen.

So did the Red-Haired Pirates.

Because—

The slash was colossal.

Calling it sky-shattering was no exaggeration.

Even Smoker's armored poison giant would look like a speck beside it.

Asura Evil Light Slash, boosted by Shadow Wrath.

"Hold the line!"

Dalmatian's eyes widened in panic, his hands trembling.

Strengthened by the family emblem, transformed into a Marine giant, he stood at the front without hesitation.

The family monument stood behind them.

The game clearly stated—if it broke, the family would disband.

"Giant Shield Wall Barrier!"

Two hundred giants roared.

Their family-empowered aura surged into a translucent barrier at the front.

The moment it materialized—

Boom!

Asura Evil Light Slash crashed into it.

The two energies collided, sending out rings of shockwaves.

Crystalline fragments shattered and rained down.

Crack.

Dozens of shield layers collapsed, turning into particles of light.

The slash barreled forward, only slowing after obliterating half the wall.

"We… we stopped Shanks' slash!"

Dalmatian flushed with relief, clenching his fists.

His arms trembled—just holding them up was draining.

If that attack had landed on the fortress wall instead of the barrier…

the wall would've been pulverized.

Marine HQ had no spare assets to upgrade it. It was still Level 1.

"You blocked my slash?"

Shanks muttered, watching the fading light of the Evil Light Slash.

That swing had drained his energy bar completely.

But spellcasters like him had a higher chance of drawing [Energy Recovery Potions] due to fate-based item refresh logic.

He tipped back a bottle of glowing blue fluid.

Smiling, he gripped Gryphon—its blade now warm to the touch.

And launched another Asura Evil Light Slash.

"Well then—

let's see how you handle the second one, Marines."
