Chapter 199 - Chapter 199: Shock of the First Kill Reward!

Chapter 199: Shock of the First Kill Reward!

"Silver-tier item?"

Everyone was stunned.

Since the appearance of the Game Merchant and the Trial Tower, this was the first silver-tier item to emerge in the pirate world.

The final battle between Marine Smoker and Revolutionary Army leader Dragon—

had that fight occurred outside the Trial Tower, its destructive force could've obliterated the Red Line.

Even an item with that much power had only been classified as purple-tier, and now a reward had appeared that was even rarer—silver-tier?

Could this item… destroy the world?

Naturally, the Marines were the most upset.

Sengoku's face was stone-cold as his gaze locked onto the radiant silver glow hiding the true form of the prize—his heart full of regret.

If only I'd sold a few more bases…

If there had been more military funding, maybe Smoker would've beaten the Revolutionary leader.

"And that idiot Garp…"

The more valuable the reward, the more furious Sengoku became. He clenched his fists and growled,

"He just had to waste energy clashing with Mihawk at the worst possible time. Couldn't he have held back and fought alongside Smoker against the Revolutionary?"

He had no confidence anymore.

Dragon already possessed the power to destroy a giant island.

If he now gained a silver-tier item…

Could he storm Marineford singlehandedly?

Could Sengoku's aging body stop him?

Especially when that Revolutionary leader was the son of that old fool Garp.

An utter failure of parenting.

...

"A magic fortress?"

Fang Yi hadn't expected Dragon to draw such an obscure item.

It came from a world where technology and magic had fused.

In that world, magic fortresses were core constructs.

They contained various magical technologies and, by consuming energy, could build magical buildings and train magical troops.

In essence—

they were mobile, mechanized magical fortresses, not unlike the base vehicles in certain war strategy games.

Even with his strong mental fortitude, Dragon couldn't help but feel excited.

He muttered to himself, "So… this is my will?"

The radiant light slowly faded.

A massive fortress, as large as a small town, appeared in the sky.

Metal rings glowing with magical energy rotated around it. Inside was a glowing silver magic core, while the rest of the interior appeared mostly empty.

"Even though the energy it emits is strong… it doesn't look particularly special."

Crocodile narrowed his eyes.

This item also seemed like a massive weapon,

but far less impressive than the Ancient Weapon Pluton he had been hunting.

He had read the surviving records.

The enormous Ancient Weapon Pluton could destroy an island with a single shot of its Pluton Cannon.

But this magic fortress didn't even have a cannon.

It looked like an empty shell.

Tch…

Crocodile sneered.

He acknowledged the Game Merchant's mysterious power,

but this item had flaws. It couldn't compare to Pluton.

Or perhaps—

he simply couldn't accept that something he had spent years pursuing could be surpassed by someone who just hunted a corrupted monster.

After all—

He had allied with the Marines to become a Shichibukai, painstakingly built Baroque Works, played the hero in Alabasta, overthrew the king…

And now, someone else got a better weapon just for killing a boss?

Was everything he did just a joke?

Behind the golden Den Den Mushi,

the Five Elders also looked on with unease and confusion as the silver-tier prize was revealed.

If the Revolutionary Army had once been beneath their notice,

now—armed with immense power and a silver-tier prize—they had become a top-tier threat to the World Government.

"Magic fortress?"

Dragon stared in confusion at the floating structure.

He hadn't expected that his will would draw such a strange reward.

Sensing his confusion, Fang Yi explained:

"A product of a magitech world—somewhat similar to the Ancient Weapons in your world."

"But Ancient Weapons are only purple-tier."

"This magic fortress is the real deal—a silver-tier item."

The three most infamous Ancient Weapons in the pirate world were said to be based on mythical gods: Uranus, Poseidon, and Pluton.

Their powers were terrifying—commanding sea kings and destroying islands.

But they had flaws—

risky control issues and massive energy requirements.

At best, they were top-tier purple items—not silver.

In worlds like One Piece and Naruto—first-tier worlds—

to spawn a silver-tier item required the world's will to pour in nearly half of its Origin.

Unless a world was in a desperate gamble, this almost never happened.

"Are you joking? Ancient Weapons are just purple-tier?"

Crocodile was dumbfounded.

His emotions surged, causing him to bite down hard on his cigar.

He stared at the seemingly empty magic fortress.

His golden hook slammed into the ground.

He understood the Game Merchant's strength,

but he still couldn't accept that his lifelong pursuit—Pluton—was inferior.

"Mr. Fang Yi."

Still confused, Dragon asked,

"Even if Ancient Weapons have great destructive power, the Revolutionary Army lacks the resources to power them. Is this item truly what my will summoned from fate?"

In other words—

the magic fortress was stronger than Ancient Weapons.

But those only had impact because the World Government had enough energy to use them.

Powerful weapons demanded massive energy to function.

The Revolutionary Army was always on the run.

They had spent everything they had on reward points.

Activating the magic fortress now was pure fantasy.

Even if it could destroy the Red Line—

doing so would bankrupt the revolutionaries and cause the group to collapse.

"You're comparing a magic fortress to your world's Ancient Weapons?"

Fang Yi sighed.

It seemed the pirate world's players still didn't understand the weight of a silver-tier item.

"You'll understand once it's bound."

Despite lingering doubts,

Dragon cautiously bound the Tier 1 Magic Fortress.

Instantly, a flood of information entered his mind.

[Magic Fortress (Tier 1)]

Type: Structure

Effect: Houses Tier 1 magitech structures, expands internal architecture.

Current Building: Beginner Magic Training Ground ×1

Moments later—

Dragon's body swayed. His eyes were full of shock and confusion.

Ignoring the surrounding pirates and Marines, he turned to the big-headed figure among his comrades:

"Ivankov. Don't resist."

"Understood."

Though unsure of Dragon's plan, Ivankov trusted him without question.

The next second, a prompt appeared before her:

[Player "Celestial Dragons Must Die" invites you to enter: Beginner Magic Training Ground. Accept?]

"Of course I accept!"

As soon as she agreed, she vanished.

[Entered Beginner Magic Training. Total cost: 3,000 reward points. Remaining time: 72 hours. Accelerate for 3,000 more?]

"Yes."

To test the outcome quickly, Dragon spent another 3,000 reward points.

Ivankov reappeared. Her head was spinning like she'd gone through intense training.

Dragon, barely containing his excitement, asked:

"Ivankov, how do you feel?"

"I feel… not much… wait—ah!"

She rubbed her head. Mid-sentence, new knowledge surged into her mind.

She looked up. In her palm, a swirl of magic energy gathered.

Boom!

A flame burst forth—searing hot like molten lava.

Startled, she withdrew her hand. The fire disappeared.

She gasped.

"W-What was that?! Did I accidentally eat the Flame-Flame Fruit?!"

Magic Fortress!

Dragon's eyes lit up.

His chest heaved. His gaze locked intensely onto the fortress above.
