Evan's eyebrows furrowed a little bit. "May I ask why you can't take this letter?"
"There is no stamp on it." Adrian replied simply.
There is no other explanation whatsoever. It was as if that is the reason why, it is as such and cannot be questioned.
Evan sighs a little. That just meant that from now on, he would need to appear formal every time he is going to send a letter to his parents. That's unfortunate. Well, at least, he doesn't have to use the Valrepite stamp.
"Can I borrow the stamp that you lend me before?" He asked instead.
The messenger lend him the stamp. Surely, he would be able to borrow it too, right?
Instead, Evan saw Adrian shake his head. "You have your own copy of the Valrepite stamp. Any letter being tasked to be sent by me always will have a stamp of the Valrepite from here before it leaves. It is custom."
"But you lend me the stamp before." Evan looks confused.
