One moment, Evan and Spire are having a conversation inside Evan's childhood home. The next moment, they are inside a car driving towards the main city.
Evan's things are all packed inside one small backpack that he owns. It was all put in their haphazardly because this wasn't the original plan.
First of all, the original plan was that he would continue moving to the stone hill cave when he has the time. He was supposed to be meditating right now, catch up on the few that he had missed. Maybe have a rest day while he catch up on reading too.
If he didn't accept, he lose the opportunity of a lifetime. Plenty of kids like him would love to get adopted into a noble family as servants, because at least they will get fed and their families too.
