Chapter 111 - CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN: The Guardian Of The Chamber

As they walked, the sounds of the battle grew fainter, replaced by the sound of dripping water and the creaking of ancient stone. The group's hearts pounded in their chests, their excitement and fear building with every step.

Suddenly, Amina stopped, her eyes fixed on a section of the wall. "We're here," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "The symbol indicates that the hidden chamber is behind this wall."

The group's eyes met, their faces filled with a mix of excitement and trepidation. With a deep breath, Mike reached out and pressed the wall, and to their surprise, it swung open, revealing a hidden chamber beyond.

The group's eyes widened as they stepped into the hidden chamber, their torches casting flickering shadows on the walls. The air was thick with dust and the scent of age, and the group's breathing was ragged with excitement.

As they looked around, their eyes adjusted to the dim light, and they saw that the chamber was filled with ancient artifacts and relics. There were strange symbols etched into the walls, and a large, ornate pedestal stood at the center of the room.

"Is that...?" Mike whispered, his voice barely audible.

Amina nodded, her eyes fixed on the pedestal. "I think it might be," she said, her voice trembling with anticipation.

The group approached the pedestal cautiously, their hearts pounding in their chests. As they reached the pedestal, they saw that it was empty, except for a small, intricately carved box.

"This must be it," TJ said, his voice filled with excitement. "The Dark artifact must be inside this box."

Gidado reached out, his hand hesitating over the box. "Are we sure this is a good idea?" he asked, his voice laced with doubt.

But before he could finish, Bisola's eyes locked onto something behind the pedestal. "Wait," she whispered, her voice urgent. "Look at that."

The group turned, their eyes following Bisola's gaze. And what they saw made their blood run cold.

Behind the pedestal, a figure stood shrouded in shadows. Its presence seemed to fill the room, making the air feel thick and heavy. The group's hearts pounded in their chests as they stared at the figure, their minds racing with questions.

Who was it? What did it want?

The figure didn't move, didn't speak. It simply stood there, watching the group with an unnerving intensity.

Mike's grip on the artifact tightened, his eyes fixed on the figure. "Who are you?" he demanded, his voice firm.

The figure didn't respond, instead it began to move. The group's torches cast eerie shadows on the walls, making it seem like the figure was surrounded by a dark aura.

As the figure stepped into the light, the group's eyes widened in shock. It was a woman, her face deathly pale, her eyes black as coal. Her skin was stretched tight over her cheekbones, and her lips were thin and pressed together.

"Welcome," she said, her voice low and husky. "I've been waiting for you."

The woman's eyes seemed to bore into the group's souls, her gaze lingering on each of them before returning to Mike. "You have something that belongs to me," she said, her voice dripping with an otherworldly menace.

Mike's grip on the artifact tightened, his mind racing with possibilities. "What do you want?" he demanded, his voice firm.

The woman's smile was like a crack in the ice, cold and unforgiving. "I want the artifact," she said, her voice low and husky. "And I will do whatever it takes to get it."

The group's eyes met, their faces filled with a mix of fear and determination. They knew they couldn't give up the artifact without a fight.

"We're not going to give it to you," Amina said, her voice firm. "It's too powerful. We can't let it fall into the wrong hands."

The woman's laughter was like a cold wind, sending shivers down the group's spines. "You think you can stop me?" she said, her eyes glinting with malevolence. "I have powers beyond your wildest imagination. You are no match for me."

As she spoke, the air around her seemed to ripple and distort, like the surface of a pond hit by a stone. It was clear that this woman was not human, and that she would stop at nothing to get what she wanted.

The woman's eyes flashed with anger, and she raised her hand. The group felt a strange energy emanating from her, like a dark and malevolent force was building up inside her.

"You fools," she spat, her voice venomous. "You think you can defy me? I will show you the true meaning of power."

As she spoke, the energy around her grew stronger, and the group felt themselves being pulled towards her. They tried to resist, but it was like trying to fight against a tidal wave.

Mike felt a surge of energy flow through him, and he raised the artifact, pointing it at the woman.

The woman's eyes widened in surprise, and she took a step back. The energy around her faltered, and the group felt themselves being released from her grasp.

"You dare to use the artifact against me?" she snarled, her face twisted with rage.

Mike stood tall, the artifact glowing with an otherworldly light in his hand. "We won't back down," he said, his voice firm. "We'll fight to protect ourselves and the artifact."

The woman's eyes flashed with fury, and she charged towards Mike, her dark energy swirling around her.
