Chapter 108 - CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT: A Clash Of Foes

The group stood firm, ready to face the charging creatures. Mike held the artifact tightly, its power coursing through him. Amina and TJ stood on either side of him, their eyes fixed on the creatures with a fierce determination. Avovome, Bisola and Gidado stood behind them, their faces set with a resolute expression.

As the creatures closed in, the group prepared to defend themselves. Mike raised his hand, and a blast of energy shot out from the artifact, striking one of the creatures and sending it crashing to the ground. The others continued their charge, undeterred by their fallen companion.

Amina and TJ leapt forward, their movements swift and deadly. Amina's hands flashed in the dim light, her fingers striking true as she took down one of the creatures. TJ's movements were a blur, his feet kicking out with precision as he sent another creature tumbling to the ground.

Avovome Bisola and Gidado joined the fray, their voices chanting in unison as they unleashed a powerful blast of energy that sent several creatures stumbling backward. The group fought with all their might, their movements swift and coordinated as they worked together to take down the creatures.

Despite their best efforts, the creatures seemed endless, their numbers seemingly inexhaustible. The group fought on, their breathing growing ragged as they battled the seemingly unstoppable horde. Mike's grip on the artifact grew tighter, its power coursing through him like a river of fire.

Just when it seemed like the group was gaining the upper hand over the creatures with bodies of large goats and sheep, another massive creatures with two hands and two legs emerged from the shadows, their eyes glowing with an unnatural energy. The creatures' heads could turn in a full circle, their gazes sweeping across the group with an unnerving intensity. They stood towering over the group, their massive bodies radiating an aura of power and menace. Their skin was a deep, dark grey, and their muscles rippled beneath their skin as they moved. Their faces were twisted and grotesque, with sharp jawlines and prominent cheekbones. Their eyes glowed with an unnatural energy, casting an eerie light on the surrounding environment.

As they approached, the creatures' expressions were cold and calculating, their eyes burning with an unnatural hunger. Their gazes seemed to bore into the group's very souls, as if sizing them up for the kill. Their mouths were set in a firm, determined line, and their sharp teeth seemed to gleam with anticipation.

The creatures with bodies of large goats and sheep, who had been charging at the group moments before, now snarled and growled, their eyes flashing with anger and aggression. They ranged themselves alongside the group, their horns lowered and ready to strike, as if prepared to face both the group and the new creatures. It was clear that they had no intention of submitting to the new arrivals, and were instead ready to fight for dominance.

The group hesitated, their eyes fixed on the new creatures with a mix of awe and trepidation. They seemed to be frozen in place, unsure of how to react to the sudden appearance of these powerful new foes. Mike's eyes were wide with fear, his grip on the artifact tightening as he prepared to defend himself. Amina's face was pale, her eyes fixed on the creatures with a mixture of horror and fascination. TJ's jaw was set, his eyes burning with determination, but even he seemed uncertain of how to proceed.

The atmosphere was tense and foreboding, the air thick with anticipation and fear. The creatures' unnatural energy seemed to vibrate through the air, making the group's skin crawl. The group's breathing was ragged, their hearts pounding in their chests as they prepared to face the new threat. The creatures' gazes locked onto Mike, their eyes burning with an unnatural hunger. "You have something that belongs to us," they growled in unison, their voices low and menacing. "Give it to us, and we might let you live."

Before Mike, who was still holding tight onto the artifact, could respond, the superior of the creatures with bodies of large goats and sheep spoke up, its voice low and menacing. "You lie, it belongs to us," it said, its eyes flashing with anger and aggression. The creature's horns seemed to quiver with rage, and its sharp teeth were bared in a snarl. As it spoke, it took a step forward, its hooves clicking on the stone floor, its body tense and ready to pounce.

The superior of the creatures with two hands and two legs strolled forward, a mocking smile spreading across its face. "Hahahaha!" it let out, its laughter echoing off the walls of the chamber. As it spoke, it gestured with one hand, its long fingers waving dismissively. "For the past six hundred years, the very moment we heard that the king no longer holds the artifact, we knew it's ours. And we have been tailing it till this moment..." The creature's eyes gleamed with excitement, and its voice was filled with a sense of triumph.

The superior of the creatures with bodies of large goats and sheep responded, its voice dripping with disdain. "And that qualified you to own it?" it said, its tone heavy with sarcasm. "Aha! You must be joking." The creature's expression was one of incredulity, its eyes wide with mock surprise. As it spoke, it shook its head, its horns bobbing up and down.

The superior of the creatures with two hands and two legs looked at the artifact in Mike's hand, its gaze lingering on it for a moment before it faced the superior of the creatures with bodies of large goats and sheep. "Joking!" it said, its voice dropping to a low, menacing tone. The creature's expression was now cold and calculating, its eyes glinting with a hidden intention.
