Chapter 83 - CHAPTER EIGHTY THREE: Breaking Free

The group looked at each other, their eyes filled with fear and uncertainty. Gidado's eyes were wide with panic, while TJ and Mike's face was set in a determined expression. Bisola's eyes were brimming with tears, and Amina's face was twisted in a mixture of fear and determination. Avovome's gaze was fixed intently on the creatures, its eyes burning with a fierce inner light.

"What do they plan to do with us?" Bisola whispered, her voice trembling with fear.

The group had no answer, and they could only wait and see what fate had in store for them.

As the group was dragged away, they were thrown into a dark and damp cell deep within the creatures' lair. The air was thick with the stench of rot and decay, and the group's eyes struggled to adjust to the dim light.

The creatures seemed to be watching them, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy in the darkness. The group huddled together, trying to comfort each other in the face of their uncertain fate.

"What do you think they want with us?" Amina whispered, her voice barely audible.

"I don't know," Mike replied, his voice low and serious. "But I don't think it's good."

TJ looked around the cell, trying to take in their surroundings. "We need to find a way out of here," he said. "We can't just sit here and wait for them to decide our fate."

Gidado nodded in agreement. "We should look for any weaknesses in the cell," he said. "Maybe there's a way to escape."

Avovome nodded, its eyes fixed intently on the creatures watching them from the shadows. "I'll try to use my power to see if I can sense any weaknesses in the cell or the creatures," it said.

Bisola looked at Avovome with a glimmer of hope. "Can you do that?" she asked.

Avovome nodded. "I'll try," it said. "But we need to be careful. We don't know what kind of powers these creatures have, or what they're capable of."

The group nodded, their faces set with determination. They knew they had to be brave if they were going to survive this ordeal. And they were determined to escape, no matter what it took.

Avovome closed its eyes, focusing its energy on sensing any weaknesses in the cell or the creatures. After a few moments, it opened its eyes and looked at the group.

"I think I've found something," Avovome said, its voice low and serious. "The cell walls seem to be made of a strange, otherworldly material. But I sense a weakness in the energy field that surrounds the cell. If we can find a way to disrupt it, we might be able to escape."

Gidado's eyes lit up with excitement. "That's great news," he said. "But how do we disrupt the energy field?"

Avovome thought for a moment. "I'm not sure," it said. "But I think I can use my power to try and overload the field. If I can create a surge of energy, it might be enough to disable the field and allow us to escape."

The group nodded, their faces set with determination. "Let's do it," Mike said. "We have nothing to lose."

Avovome nodded, and began to focus its energy. The group watched in anticipation as Avovome's body began to glow with a soft, blue light. The light grew brighter and brighter, until it was a blinding flash of energy.

The group felt a surge of power as Avovome released its energy, and the cell was filled with a loud, crackling sound. The energy field surrounding the cell began to falter, and the group knew they had their chance.

"Let's go," TJ shouted, as the group rushed towards the cell door.

The group burst through the cell door, their freedom within reach. But as they emerged into the corridor, they were met with a sight that made their blood run cold.

The creatures were everywhere, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy as they closed in on the group. The group knew they had to move fast if they were going to escape.

"Run!" Mike shouted, as the group took off down the corridor. They sprinted through the twisting tunnels, the creatures hot on their heels.

Avovome used its power to try and slow the creatures down, creating blasts of energy that sent them stumbling backward. But there were too many of them, and the group knew they couldn't keep this up for much longer.

Gidado spotted a side passage and grabbed Bisola's hand, pulling her towards it. "This way!" he shouted, as the group followed him.

They burst through the passage, slamming shut a heavy door behind them. For a moment, they leaned against the door, panting and trembling with fear.

But as they caught their breath, they realized that they had no idea where they were or where they were going. The passage was dark and narrow, with no visible exits.

"What now?" Amina asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

TJ looked around, trying to get his bearings. "I think I saw a way out," he said. "If we can make it to the surface, we might be able to escape."

The group nodded, their faces set with determination. They knew they had to keep moving if they were going to survive.
