As they cut open the serpent's belly further, they found the remains of other creatures that the serpent had swallowed before. There were skeletons of fish, birds, and even a few larger animals. The group exchanged somber glances, their faces reflecting their shock and disgust.
But they didn't linger on the serpent's victims. They focused on TJ, helping him to his feet and supporting him as he stumbled. TJ's eyes were wide with shock and fear, but as he looked at his friends, he smiled weakly.
"Thanks, guys," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I owe you one."
As they stood on the riverbank, the group knew they had to find a way to cross the river, but they were aware that the river was full of hidden dangers. The air was thick with tension, and the atmosphere was heavy with anticipation.
Gidado's eyes scanned the river, his expression grim and determined. "Let's be careful," he said, his voice low and serious. "We don't know what other dangers might be lurking in the water."
Amina nodded, her face set with resolve. "We'll stick together and watch each other's backs," she said, her voice firm.
Bisola's eyes were wide with fear, but she didn't let her emotions get the better of her. She nodded bravely, her face pale but determined.
As they began to wade into the water, the group noticed that the river seemed to be getting more turbulent. The currents were strong, and the water was icy cold. Suddenly, a school of razor-toothed fish darted out of the water, attacking the group with ferocity.
"Ahh!" Bisola screamed, as one of the fish bit into her leg. Her eyes went wide with pain and fear, and she stumbled backward.
Amina quickly came to her aid, striking at the fish with her sword. "We've got to get out of here, now!" she shouted.
The group quickly fought off the fish, but they knew they had to keep moving. As they continued across the river, they encountered more dangers, including giant eels and venomous snakes.
TJ's face was set with determination, his eyes scanning the water for any sign of danger. Mike's expression was grim, his sword flashing in the sunlight as he struck at a snake that slithered out of the water.
Gidado's eyes were narrowed, his face tense with concentration. He was constantly on the lookout for any sign of danger, his sword at the ready.
Avovome's eyes blazed with fury, its breath streaming out in a fiery blast that scorched the water and sent the snakes and eels reeling.
As they reached the middle of the river, they encountered a massive whirlpool, its waters churning and foaming like a living thing. The group knew they had to navigate through it if they were going to reach the other side.
"Hold on to each other!" Gidado shouted, as the group clung together and began to swim through the whirlpool.
The waters swirled around them, threatening to pull them under. Bisola's eyes went wide with fear, and she clung to Amina's arm. TJ's face was set with determination, his eyes fixed on the shore.
The group struggled to stay afloat, their bodies battered by the turbulent water. But they held fast, their determination and teamwork keeping them afloat.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, they emerged on the other side of the river, exhausted but triumphant. They stood on the riverbank, their chests heaving with exertion, and their faces set with determination.
The group eyes scanning the horizon. They knew they still had a long way to go, but they were ready for whatever lay ahead.
Amina smiled, her eyes shining with pride. "We make a good team," she said.
Gidado nodded, his face relaxing into a smile. "We do," he said. "Let's keep moving. We've got a long way to go."
