The creatures closed in, their eyes glowing like embers in the dim light of the opening. Amina, Bisola, and TJ knew they had to defend themselves, or they'd become the creatures' next meal. They frantically looked around, searching for something – anything – to use as a weapon. That's when they spotted a large rock on the ground, partially hidden by the shadows.
Amina picked it up, her hands trembling with fear as she felt its weight and roughness. "We'll fight," she whispered, her eyes fixed on the creatures, determination etched on her face. The creatures charged, their claws snapping wildly as they bore down on the group. Amina, Bisola, and TJ stood their ground, the rock poised in Amina's hand like a makeshift shield.
Bisola and TJ positioned themselves on either side of Amina, their eyes darting back and forth, searching for any weakness in the creatures' attack. As the creatures closed in, Amina swung the rock with all her might, aiming for the largest creature's skull. The impact was intense, and the creature let out a deafening roar, stumbling backwards as it clutched at its injured head.
Before the rest of the creatures could react to what had been done to one of them, Bisola and TJ found another rock. They picked it up and used it to defend themselves from the creatures' attack. Each time a creature came close to any of them, they made sure to deliver a blow with the rock in their hands, targeting their heads. They kept targeting and hitting them on the head until they all went down, moaning in pain, yet with a fierce look of not giving up.
For a moment, the group thought they'd gained the upper hand, but as they turned to run, they were confronted by more creatures, their eyes glowing in the darkness. The group was surrounded, and it seemed like all hope was lost. The creatures began to close in, their jaws snapping shut mere inches from the group's faces.
Amina, Bisola, and TJ stood back-to-back, ready to face their attackers head-on, but they knew it wouldn't be enough – they needed a new plan, and fast. "We got to use our hands; no time to look for something to use in facing them." TJ turned his head to both Bisola and Amina, alerting them in a low voice before facing the creatures in his direction. "Come on!" he added, gesturing to them with his head and hand to come closer.
"We can do it; sure we can," Amina said, assuring them that they could face the creatures even without weapons. The seriousness of bringing down any creature that dared to come close to her was etched on her face. Bisola was determined to fight too, even though she knew she wasn't as strong as TJ and Amina were, to face the creatures with bare hands.
The group's relief was short-lived, as more creatures emerged from the darkness, their eyes fixed on their prey. Bisola grabbed a smaller rock from the ground and hurled it at one of the creatures, striking it in the chest. The creature recoiled, momentarily stunned, but its companions didn't falter.
TJ, meanwhile, used his agility to dodge the creatures' claws, looking for an opening to strike. Amina swung the rock again, this time hitting a creature in the shoulder, but it was clear they couldn't keep this up for much longer.
