Chapter 396 - Chapter 396: Dream Wedding

Xiao Yu gazed at the dreamy scene before her, eyes misty with emotion. Just from the romantic setup alone, she could tell how much Chen Mo had invested in this wedding. A dreamlike ceremony, gifted to her by the man she loved in real life. If it weren't for the fact that they were in the middle of the formal procession, she would've rushed over and kissed him right then and there to show her joy and gratitude.

"Don't cry, not here at the wedding," Chen Mo teased. "If you're really moved, you can thank me tonight in the bridal suite."

"You're such a bad guy," she whispered back, though her eyes were filled with warmth.

The emotions she had been holding back dissolved instantly, replaced by affection. She looked into Chen Mo's eyes—tender, gentle, and filled with love.

"They're calling us," Chen Mo reminded her as the host's voice echoed across the venue.

"Mm," Xiao Yu nodded, holding her bouquet in one hand and gently wrapping her other around Chen Mo's arm as they stepped forward onto the dreamy path covered in rose petals.

As soon as their feet touched the path, soft wedding music played. When Xiao Yu's heels brushed against the petals, they shimmered and transformed into delicate birds. They flitted through the air before landing gently on her shoulder, glowing with flaming red feathers.

It was magical, like a scene straight out of a fairy tale.

The audience was captivated—enchanted by the beauty and romance of it all. This was the kind of wedding people could only dream of, now brought to life before their eyes.

"Look at the bride's dress!"

Xiao Yu and Chen Mo had just stepped onto the rose path when someone shouted, drawing everyone's attention to her gown.

Gasps filled the air.

Under the gaze of the crowd, Xiao Yu's wedding dress slowly transformed into a multicolored celestial robe. Surrounded by blooming flowers, she looked like a fairy from legend—otherworldly and untouched by the mundane.

A wedding dress that changed colors like something out of a fantasy movie—no one had expected that.

"How did he even do that?"

That same thought ran through the minds of countless guests.

"I want to be a bride too…"

Some girls clutched their chests, staring at Xiao Yu in awe. The fairy-tale bride standing before them made it impossible to look away. It felt like they had stepped right into a movie scene.

Moments later, a fresh wave of gasps swept through the venue.

From the distance, a sea of blue enchantress flowers spread toward the couple like a tide. They shimmered like crystal-clear waves, swaying as they approached. Xiao Yu, now dressed in a sea-blue gown, looked like a mermaid princess walking on the ocean—pure, graceful, untouched by dust.

"So beautiful…"

One compliment after another rippled through the crowd. All eyes were on Xiao Yu. She was the centerpiece of the entire event. Under the changing wedding dress, she looked like a fallen celestial, too stunning to be real.

Even those who'd once questioned why Chen Mo had chosen this "ordinary girl" now began to understand.

As the couple approached the stage, the fiery bird perched on Xiao Yu's shoulder suddenly took flight. Crimson petals scattered in its wake. As they touched the blue flowers below, it looked like drops of blood falling into the ocean, dyeing the entire sea of flowers red—transforming it into a brilliant sea of fire.

The petals shimmered like sparks as they flew toward the red bird, forming a fiery current that spiraled upward. Then, with a blazing explosion, a phoenix with wings several meters wide burst forth from the flames and soared toward Xiao Yu.

Boom!

The fire phoenix dove into her body in a brilliant burst of flame. A moment later, her wedding dress had transformed again—now a traditional red-gold robe of ancient design, adorned with a vivid phoenix pattern. It looked so lifelike, one could almost believe it would fly right off the fabric.

The crowd stared in stunned silence.

The fantasy of a phoenix entering the bride had just played out in real life—in under ten seconds. At that moment, Xiao Yu was like a celestial queen, radiant and untouchable. Even the fantastical setting around her seemed to fade in comparison.

"I want to marry too... Why wasn't I the bride…?" Some of the more emotional guests started crying.

As Chen Mo and Xiao Yu stepped onto the stage, all the decorations around them shifted to match the new color palette. Crimson silk covered the venue, and blooming flowers danced through the air like fairy blossoms. Petals still floated gently down, creating a magical ambiance.

Whoosh…

The ceremony was short—just a few minutes—but it was more than enough to leave the audience speechless. The moment everything paused, the guests finally came to their senses. Applause erupted, mixed with exclamations of amazement.

This wedding let them witness the sheer charm of advanced technology. Chen Mo had turned what should have been a dream into reality through innovation alone.

Technology really could do anything—and today, that truth was on full display.

"She's the most beautiful bride I've ever seen," the hostess said with genuine admiration.

"Yeah," the host echoed. "This dream wedding is no longer just a fantasy. Today, we saw a fairy-tale come to life. The prince and princess really did get their happily ever after."

After his flowery praise, he finally moved the ceremony into the next stage.

"Now, we invite the groom to turn to your bride—and with your most sincere heart—make your promise of love."

"Such incredible tech. This is what the future looks like." Xu Jialin couldn't help but marvel.

Even a man as experienced as he was, having seen the world's most extravagant events, felt impressed. He couldn't help but feel some regret—if only his daughter had ended up with this man. They might've had a chance to join the ranks of a world-class conglomerate.

Xu Xinxin was also caught in a swirl of emotions. She liked Chen Mo too. If she had been the one standing there today, she might have been the happiest woman alive.

"With technology like this… Chen Mo is truly extraordinary," Alexander said, glass in hand, looking both surprised and pleased. Among the many corporations with ties to Chen Mo, his relationship was one of the closer ones. The stronger Chen Mo became, the greater the opportunities for those around him.

"It's a shame we couldn't invest in the Marching Ant Group. Hopefully, we can cooperate on something else in the future."

Barfield and a crowd of investors from the financial world all sighed in regret. If they had gotten in early, they could have made a fortune. But Chen Mo had never intended to let anyone else hold shares in the Marching Ant Group.

The other industry giants present also had their own thoughts.

Where regular people saw romance, beauty, and a fairy-tale wedding, these tycoons saw something else entirely. They were thinking about future applications of these technologies. Could they break into those industries early? Their strategic instincts told them clearly—this young man would change the world.

And this wedding might be the best time to catch a ride on that wave.

In the temporary control studio, as the ceremony ended, Zhang Fengyun leaned back in his chair and exhaled deeply, wiping sweat from his forehead.

Even directing the opening ceremony of a major international event hadn't been this exhausting.

The entire ceremony had only lasted a few minutes, but achieving that level of visual perfection required extreme precision. Every scene change had to be timed flawlessly—not too fast or slow—or else the effect would've fallen apart.

Luckily, he had pulled it off. There had been no errors, and the final effect was flawless—truly a romantic spectacle.

After this experience, he was more convinced than ever that holographic film was the future of cinema.

It gave people the feeling of being fully immersed in the story. With special effects handled so seamlessly, actors wouldn't need to imagine scenes or talk to empty space. Their performances could become more real, more natural.

With that thought, Zhang Fengyun stood up. The ceremony was over—it was time to enjoy the wedding banquet.
