Chapter 76 - Chapter 76: Your Next Line Is...

While Dudley said "Lumos," what he actually cast was a lighting spell. Perhaps Dudley's magic value wasn't high, but after six stacked states of Calm Mind, his magic power reached an incredible level, so much so that even a simple lighting spell could achieve the effect of an artificial sun.

"Bastard!"

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.

The young wizards, under attack, instinctively raised their wands and cast spells. But with their eyes temporarily blinded, they couldn't find Dudley's location and simply cast wildly. Dudley himself had already jumped out of the attack range with Hermione in his arms, watching the scene before him with interest. Gryffindor had formed a circle, and if they raised their hands to cast spells, they would mostly hit their own people.

Curses, cries, and wails blended into a single cacophony. The scene was extremely chaotic. Fortunately, these young wizards didn't know any powerful Dark Arts or strong spells; at most, they knew a few more prank spells than Harry and Malfoy did back then, like the Jelly-Legs Jinx. A few Slytherin students who were too close also unfortunately got hit.

Dudley strolled back and forth among the young wizards of Gryffindor, casually snatching their wands with a light pull. Then, he extended a finger and flicked each young wizard who came near him on the head. The wizards who were flicked would fly backward. Dudley controlled his strength well; no one would die, at most they'd get a concussion. In a short while, he had collected a handful of wands, and those young wizards had all received a 'big gift package'. Especially the five-person group, who received special attention from Dudley; their heads were practically like a Buddha's. Not only that, but he also injected several Ripples into their bodies. This wasn't to help them cultivate; the taste of malicious Ripples was not pleasant, and they would act up periodically.

Dudley gathered the wands, gripped both sides, and snapped them with force. The wands all turned into a pile of useless little sticks. People always have to pay the price for their choices.

"What happened?"

Professor McGonagall arrived, dusty and disheveled, led by a young wizard. When she saw the young wizards lying all over the ground, she exclaimed in surprise. "Who will tell me! What exactly happened here?" The young wizard who led Professor McGonagall was Neville.

"Mr. Dursley, can you tell me what happened?" The scene was chaotic, but only Dudley's tall figure stood in place, conspicuous like a crane among chickens, and was immediately spotted by Professor McGonagall.

At this moment, the effect of the Lighting spell gradually faded, and the young wizards of Gryffindor gradually regained their vision. Among them was one of the five-person group. Seeing the miserable state of his companions around him, and then looking at Dudley standing there completely unharmed, the pain from the bumps on his head stimulated his nerves, and a surge of anger instantly welled up in his heart.

Courage is something only a few people possess. Most people are more often reckless. Fear, besides making people afraid, can also produce anger, and anger can make people lose their minds. And recklessness makes people stupid. Even Professor McGonagall, standing beside Dudley, was unconsciously ignored.

"Tarantallegra!" Not all young wizards were like Harry and Malfoy, only knowing the spells taught by their Professor. There were still a few first-year Gryffindor students who, like Hermione, taught themselves spells. One of them was this young wizard. It was precisely because his grades were not bad that he found Hermione, who had the best grades, very displeasing. As the second-most disliked person in the house, who was the most disliked? Of course, it was the first place!

Unfortunately, this spell had no effect on Dudley. Let alone hanging him upside down in the air, not even his foot skin left the ground. The wand was left by Dudley on purpose, and the opportunity to cast spells was also given by Dudley on purpose. Only Professor McGonagall's arrival was an accident. But that's not important; what Dudley wanted was... the next line.

'Gryffindor, how dare you!'

"Gryffindor, how dare you!"

A calm yet highly penetrating voice rang out. Led by Malfoy, Professor Snape rushed over from the other side, just in time to see the other party casting spells at Dudley. Professor Snape instinctively moved to cast a spell, but someone was a step faster than him. A red spell struck the other party's wrist, and the wand flew out of their hand and dropped to the side.... Professor McGonagall shouted sharply.

"Hansel!"

"Attacking a fellow student, Gryffindor loses 50 points!" She was trembling with anger at Hansel's behavior just now. At this moment, she was like an enraged lioness. Dudley had never seen Professor McGonagall like this before; in fact, Professor Snape, standing nearby, was also seeing Professor McGonagall like this for the first time. Although Professor McGonagall often gave people the impression of being serious, rigid, and unapproachable, in reality, her personality was very gentle. All young wizards could ask her questions about Transfiguration at any time, and she would answer them patiently one by one.

"Those who are injured go to Madam Pomfrey for treatment," Professor McGonagall first arranged for those who were not injured to take the injured away. Fortunately, it was only a first-year young wizard's spells. Even if someone was unlucky enough to be hit by several in a row, the combined damage was not as severe as Dudley's few 'mischiefs'.

Then Professor McGonagall said in a deep voice, "What exactly happened?" The chilling aura emanating from her made even Professor Snape maintain a rare silence. "Who can tell me?" What she hated most was attacking fellow students, especially when the attacker was from their own house, and this incident happened right under her nose. Her gaze finally fell on Dudley.

"Mr. Dursley."

Before Dudley could speak, another young witch from the five-person group shrieked loudly. "Professor McGonagall, he started it! Mr. Dursley started it! He attacked us with a vicious spell, it must have been a terrifying Dark Art! Look, our wands are broken, and we're injured!" Saying this, she pointed to the large bumps on her head. A typical case of the villain making the first accusation. A typical case of only stating the result without the cause.

However, many young wizards from Gryffindor around them agreed.

"Mr. Dursley," Professor McGonagall's gaze fell on Dudley again, along with Professor Snape's gaze.

"Professor McGonagall, I did break the wands."

Seeing Dudley admit it, the young wizards of Gryffindor's faces lit up with joy; the evil Slytherin was about to face righteous punishment. "Professor, look, he admitted it! Punish him quickly!" Among the three young male wizards, the one with a freckled face pointed at Dudley and shouted.

"Interrupting others is very impolite," Professor Snape gave the other party a cold glance.

"I think I know what to do, Mr. Austo. I am the Professor!" Professor McGonagall also glared at the other party, her gaze returning to Dudley.

Dudley then continued, unhurriedly. "I think I am the victim. The Priori Incantatem spell can prove this." Priori Incantatem is an investigative spell that can be used to determine what spells a wand has cast. "You can examine their wands and my wand." Dudley's voice was filled with grievance and innocence, with a hint of suppressed indignation, as if he had been wronged but dared not speak out.

Professor McGonagall examined Dudley's wand and then examined several wands that Dudley had broken. In the dim light of the Gryffindor young wizards' eyes, she drew a conclusion.

"Mr. Dursley has not cast any spells." Professor McGonagall's stern gaze swept over the young wizards of Gryffindor. "Instead, why did you cast spells on a fellow student?"

Dudley was much more adept at proving guilt or innocence in the wizarding world than these young wizards. Like to make the first accusation?

Do you have evidence?
