Chapter 2 - Prologue....

Year 2084.

Six asteroids tore through Earth's skies like burning gods, crashing into the continents with cataclysmic force. Each landed on a different landmass—North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Instead of annihilation, they brought… something else.

Power.

The impact sites were quickly seized by six families: the Roys, Williams, Watsons, Santiagos, Laws, and Lugonos. They each claimed the asteroid fragments for themselves, and in doing so, changed the course of human history.

Each asteroid granted its possessors strange, otherworldly abilities—gifts that defied science and explanation. Enhanced strength, telepathy, matter manipulation, time dilation, biological transformation. Every family discovered something different. Within decades, they rose from obscurity to become ruling dynasties. In a hundred years, they had divided the Earth between them.

And then they wanted more.

What began as a global order devolved into a planetary war. The Families, driven by ambition and greed, turned their forces—and their powers—on one another. Armies clashed. Skies burned. The Earth fractured under the weight of endless conflict.

For ordinary people, survival meant submission.

With governments dissolved and society shattered, the only hope for common citizens was to serve under one of the Six Families. Entire communities lined up at their gates, begging for shelter in exchange for loyalty. But protection came with a price: a brutal admission process designed to separate the strong from the weak.

Every applicant was subjected to a year-long trial of testing and training. Only 20% survived and were deemed worthy to become soldiers—war pawns in the Families' eternal battle. The remaining 80% were branded as servants, stripped of dignity and bound to the Family's will. Many died during the process. Still, people came. Because to live without a Family was a slower death.

Once you entered, you left your name behind. You were reborn under the Family that took you in. Your surname changed. Your past erased.

Year 2185.

My name is Judas Neverland. I'm fourteen years old.

My parents died two months ago in a battle between Roy and Williams forces—two titans fighting a war we never asked to be part of. The explosion that killed them turned our home into dust. I survived only because I had wandered off, looking for water.

When I returned… there was nothing left.

I drifted, alone, across the ruins of what used to be cities. Burnt towns, collapsed highways, ash-covered trees. I ate what I could find, slept wherever I could hide. Every night I heard the distant screams of war echo through the sky.

Eventually, I found my way into Roy territory.

Their land is divided into four servant villages. I ended up at Village 2. That's all it was called. No name. Just a number. No one bothered naming servant villages—why would they? Servants were tools, not people.

A towering steel gate stood at the entrance, flanked by two armored guards in crimson uniforms. One of them raised a rifle as I approached.

"Who are you?" he asked, eyes hidden behind a visor. "Name yourself."

"I'm Judas," I said, stepping forward. "I want to join the Roy Family."

He looked me up and down. "You're just a kid. The test will kill you."

"I don't care," I replied. "I have nowhere else to go."

He hesitated, then shrugged. "Your death. Come with me."

We passed through rows of decaying shacks and crowded walkways where servants moved like ghosts. The air smelled of sweat and rust. At the village's center stood a monolithic structure, black as void, humming with quiet energy. Its surface rippled with a faint red glow, as if alive.

"This is it," the guard said. "Your home for the next year… if you last that long."

The massive doors creaked open. Cold air spilled out.

Before I could take it all in, the guard shoved me forward.

The doors slammed shut behind me.

The room was huge, sterile, lit only by crimson lights that pulsed like a heartbeat. The walls were covered in strange symbols—alien in design. Tubes ran through the ceilings. I felt as if I had stepped into the stomach of some mechanical beast.

"What is this place?" I whispered.

A voice crackled from above, mechanical and unfeeling.

"Subject identified: Judas Neverland. Age: 14. Status: Unclaimed. Initiating induction into Roy Assimilation Program."

Two side doors hissed open. Figures emerged, wrapped in white suits, faces hidden behind reflective masks. One carried a clipboard. Another held a long silver syringe.

My heart pounded.

They didn't speak. They just advanced.

Panic surged in my chest, but I stood still. I had nothing left. No family. No future. If I died here, at least it would be on my own terms.

The masked figure inserted the syringe into my neck. Ice burned through my veins. My vision blurred. Pain twisted through every nerve. I dropped to the ground, convulsing.

"Welcome to your new life, Judas," the voice said as the lights faded.

"Let the transformation begin."
