Aries already heard the news that Alaric had returned with his mate, who was still unconscious. The moment she found out, she quickly told Ria to prepare a basket of fruits.
She was planning to visit Ayesha, but also take the chance to see Lyra. She would not waste any opportunity to get closer to Lyra, especially now that she noticed the girl was slowly warming up to her.
Soon, she and Ria arrived at the East Palace, but the guards stopped them before they could enter.
"I am deeply sorry, Lady Aries," Nira said as she approached with a curt bow. "The Alpha King is with Lady Ayesha now along with the healer. He strictly ordered that no one is allowed to enter the East Palace."
Aries's face darkened for a moment. A sharp pang of jealousy hit her at the thought of Alaric inside Ayesha's bedchamber, personally attending to the hybrid. Still, she forced herself to smile.
"How is she?" Aries asked, handing the basket of fruits. "Please give this to her."
