Before Ayesha could respond, Rona stepped inside and gently guided her toward the nearest chair.
She didn't resist. Though uncertain whether to fully trust Rona, she reminded herself that this woman was the Alpha King's personal mage healer.
Ayesha silently observed as Rona closed her eyes, then lifted her hands. A soft white light glowed from her palms and extended toward Ayesha's body like threads of warmth.
"Just relax, My Lady," Rona said gently.
Ayesha exhaled a slow breath and let herself ease into the chair, allowing the magic to do its work.
A calming warmth spread through Ayesha's chest and limbs as the mage light seeped deeper into her body. It wasn't unpleasant, just strange, like being wrapped in invisible threads of soft heat.
Rona remained quiet, her brows furrowed slightly in focus. Ayesha watched her carefully. There was no trace of malice in the woman's face but then, Rona suddenly stepped back.
