Chapter 6 - 6. Sacrifice and Werewolf

"Rudolph, don't leave, let's go fishing together."

Policewoman Kelita has been in a good mood these days. Rudolph has been chatting with her recently, which makes the boring work more interesting.

Not working during working hours is a great pleasure in life.

Rudolph also wanted to continue chatting. He needed to contact people to resist the side effects of the zombie teeth.

However, Rudolph had already seen the big shots coming in at the door of the police station.

Mr. Puli, the red priest of Leman Town, came to the police station. There was still a week left before the full moon sacrifice in December, but the police station did nothing and the sacrifice was not ready.

Chief Claude respectfully sent Mr. Puli, the red priest, away. Rudolph followed behind and carefully observed the red priest.

Every month's full moon sacrifice is presided over by Mr. Puli, the red priest. Mr. Puli is a middle-aged man with a pale face and almost no blood. Except in the sacrificial ceremony, there are few opportunities to see the red priest.

Mr. Pulley, the red priest, kept emphasizing the importance of the sacrifice, and Sheriff Claude kept nodding his head.

After sending the red priest away, Sheriff Claude was full of worry.

"Rudolph, how have you found clues to the sacrifice recently?"

"I've tried very hard and searched day and night, but unfortunately, there is no clue for the time being."

"Day and night?" Claude said with suspicion:

"But I heard that you have been either in the tavern or in the bathhouse these few nights.

I heard that the owner of the bathhouse, Mr. Bass, has recruited a female masseuse with a good figure in Fabro City. How does it feel?"

Rudolph instantly became energetic: "This is too much! There is such a thing? Why didn't Mr. Bass tell me?"

"Do you have money?" Sheriff Claude asked a soul-searching question.

  "No..."

Rudolph found that strong liquor plus the bathhouse, enjoyment is real enjoyment, and spending money is also real spending money. His meager family assets will soon be exhausted.

Perhaps, Mr. Bass knew that Rudolph's pocket was tight, so he did not recommend new services to him.

"How about this, Rudolph? Tomorrow you and I will go to the wilderness to see if we can find a werewolf. Yesterday we received a letter from the druids. They believe that something bad is happening in the wilderness." Sheriff Claude said,

"If we can find a werewolf successfully, I can give you more funds."

  "Deal!"

The next day, Sheriff Claude and Rudolph left Leman Town on horseback.

This was the first time Rudolph had been away from the town since he crossed over.

For ordinary people, the wilderness means danger, and it is ruled by various heretical apostles.

Claude and Rudolph went all the way and came across the first farm.

The closer the farm is to the town, the safer it is, because it can get help from the town and the police station as soon as possible.

Although Sheriff Claude is disrespectful in the police station and jokes with everyone he sees, he is still very strong.

When the farmer saw the sheriff coming, he hurriedly left the cowshed, came to the roadside, and gave the sheriff and Rudolph a pot of milk each.

"Sheriff Claude, you haven't had time to come here to inspect!"

While the sheriff was chatting with the farmer, Rudolph observed the two people behind the farmer.

This farm was so powerful that it actually hired two druids.

They were shirtless, their skin was tanned by the sun, and their muscles were bulging.

There were drops of sweat on their strong chest muscles.

As the old saying goes, excessive fitness attracts the same sex. Rudolph's eyes moved with the drops of sweat, and his straight eyes made the two druids turn around.

As they turned around, there was a crisp sound of tinkling.

The druids wore skirts with metal pieces, stone pieces, animal teeth, bones, etc. hung on them with thick hemp ropes.

In addition to the two druids with rough decorations, the two huge brown bears following behind them also attracted special attention.

These are druids, they are the guardians of the wilderness. Places like farms will recruit some druids to protect their farmland and cattle and sheep. In addition to managing their own territories, the druid tribe is also willing to send people to guard these farms in exchange for rewards.

Soon, the sheriff and the farmer finished their greetings, and Sheriff Claude also learned some details.

"Let's go, Rudolph, we need to hurry."

Sheriff Claude whipped his whip and started to speed up, and Rudolph hurried to follow.

They rode on the road, and they became more and more uneasy.

There are few caravans on the road, which is abnormal.

Leman Town is a town on the southern outskirts of Fabro City. If you want to enter Fabro City from the south, you must pass through Leman Town.

Now there are no caravans on the road, which proves that the caravans found something wrong on the road and changed their plans.

This is also the same as what the druid said in the letter to Sheriff Claude.

Something very bad is happening in the wilderness.

Half a day later, Rudolph came to the most remote farm in Leman Town.

The more remote the farm is, the poorer it is, and the more dangerous it is.

The farm is full of cattle and sheep that have been bitten to the point of only skeletons.

Sheriff Claude signaled Rudolph to pick up the shotgun, as there might be danger here.

These bite marks were left by werewolves. Only a group of werewolves, led by the alpha wolf, can defeat the farm's defense so thoroughly.

  "We are late..."

Sheriff Claude opened the gate on the farm's wooden fence and entered the farm.

"There was a fight here." The sheriff stood next to a pile of corpses.

Rudolph looked at the corpses on the ground, including the farm's hounds, the druid's giant bear, and the farm's family.

The giant bear was dead, with a fatal wound on its throat, black and red flesh turning over, and wounds all over its body.

The giant bear's internal organs had been hollowed out and eaten, as if the werewolf liked the internal organs of animals very much.

Rudolph looked around and pointed to a big tree: "Sheriff! There is the body of the druid on it!"

The druids were dressed in a similar way, with bare upper bodies and skirts covered with decorations.

"The werewolves and druids are hostile to each other, and they hate each other.

After they kill the druids, they will hang the druids high up to show their strength."

There were no leaves on the trees in winter, and there were only branches on the big tree. This made the druid's body very obvious.

The druid's blood flowed down the trunk, and the trunk of the big tree turned red, which was very eye-catching.

The cold wind blew, making Rudolph shiver.

Rudolph looked at the druid on the branches of the big tree, and was very afraid that his identity as a wizard would be exposed one day.

He didn't want to associate with heretical apostles like the werewolf.

"Sheriff, what should we do next?"

Sheriff Claude said, "Wait, the battle here happened last night. Soon people from the surrounding druid tribes will come, and we will work with them to deal with this werewolf attack."
