Chapter 329 - Chapter 329: Brother and Brother!

North Blue.

A certain sea area.

A pirate ship was quietly cutting through the water.

Suddenly, a massive Sea King emerged from the water nearby.

The pirate ship rocked continuously with the surging waves stirred up by the giant beast.

The pirates on deck instantly held their breath, their bodies stiff as wooden statues, terrified that any movement would provoke the beast and instantly send them to a watery grave.

Fortunately, the giant beast merely glanced at the pirate flag on the mast. After confirming it was a pirate ship, it submerged back beneath the surface.

The turbulent sea gradually calmed down.

The pirates on deck finally let out long sighs of relief.

Although they had experienced this situation many times, the fear in their hearts never diminished whenever a Sea King suddenly appeared before them.

"No matter where we sail, these monsters are always around."

Inside a room within the ship's cabin, a man wearing a sharpshooter's eyepatch and sporting a brown mohawk looked out the porthole at the gradually calming sea and sighed.

"The power to control Sea Kings is terrifying in itself, and what's even more terrifying is that this power is in Roa's hands."

"The North Blue has completely turned into a hell."

The speaker was a blonde man, wearing a pink shirt and a hooded jacket, his face painted with somewhat exaggerated clown makeup.

The man sat on a chair, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, and sighed listlessly, "In the years I drifted through this sea as a child, though many countries weren't wealthy, life was manageable, after all."

"I never imagined that a boy I casually met when I was young would one day turn this sea into this state."

"So, Rosinante,"

The mohawked man looked at his companion, his tone carrying a hint of curiosity, "What was that meeting like? What was that monster like in his youth?"

"What was he like?"

The man named Rosinante slightly froze, then a bitter smile appeared on his face, "He was unimaginably vicious even as a boy."

"He lent his power to my idiot brother, encouraging him to take all the revenge he wanted against those who had persecuted us."

"Can you imagine, Drake? Incited by him, Doflamingo, who was still just a kid at the time, launched a massive massacre in that country, and even—"

As he spoke, Rosinante closed his eyes in pain, "Our father was killed by Doflamingo himself at that time."

"...I'm sorry, Rosinante."

The man named Drake felt a bit awkward, having made his friend recall such a past.

"It's nothing."

Rosinante slowly exhaled, shaking his head as he spoke, "It's already been decades ago."

"However, precisely because of that, I must make Doflamingo and Roa pay the price for their actions!"

"Good!"

Drake heavily nodded, "That's why we came all the way to the North Blue!"

About a year ago, when the Pirate Alliance was still recruiting pirates to expand its territory, they were sent by Marine Headquarters to infiltrate the Pirate Alliance as pirates and confirm Roa's whereabouts.

But the unfortunate thing was that as soon as they arrived in the North Blue, the Calamity Corporation stopped recruiting.

So, for the past year, they have only been able to wander the North Blue as pirates, looking for an opportunity.

Their contingency plan at the time was that if Rosinante could make a name for himself, Doflamingo might seek him out.

But he didn't.

No one paid them any attention.

In any case, the opportunity had finally arrived!

Soon, the pirate crew landed on an island.

Then, they engaged in a fierce battle with a group of pirates who occupied the island.

The fierce battle did not last long.

"Waaah!"

With a scream, Drake cleaved off the head of the opposing pirate captain with an axe.

He let out a long sigh of relief. That was the end of it.

While cleaning up the battlefield, Rosinante lowered his voice, "Many pirates escaped, so our location will be exposed soon."

"And as Devil Fruit users, the Pirate Alliance definitely won't pass us up."

Drake continued, "They'll be coming for us soon!"

Saying this, he looked seriously at his friend beside him, "Rosinante, we'll have to rely on you next."

"Mhm."

Rosinante nodded solemnly, "I will stop at nothing!"

He turned back to look at the dilapidated town in the distance.

Not just for myself, and certainly not just for Father.

Doflamingo, Roa, what you owe is the world!

The news of the Drake Pirates' appearance on the island quickly reached a nearby Calamity Corporation pirate base.

"Red Flag Drake, an Ancient Zoan user is rare! Hurry up and go!"

"But that guy's strength is extraordinary. We're not as strong as our colleagues in the New World. We might not be able to take him down!"

"In that case, report it! Let the higher-ups handle it!"

And soon, about a day later.

The waves suddenly surged on the sea outside the island where the Drake Pirates were temporarily stationed.

Huge Sea Beasts emerged from beneath the surface.

The pirates stationed on the island were instantly alarmed.

A pirate stumbled towards where the captain was.

"Captain! Captain Drake! The Calamity Corporation people are here! It's the Calamity Corporation's Fish-Man unit!"

Inside the building, Drake and Rosinante instantly stood up. They looked at each other, and both saw an unwavering resolve in the other's eyes.

"Let's go!"

Drake took a deep breath.

"Mhm!"

Rosinante nodded heavily.

The two quickly led their subordinate pirates to the coast, and by this time, the Fish-Man army, having traveled a long distance, had already landed.

Fully armed Sea Beasts remained on the sea surface, and ships encased in coated bubbles were docked along the coast.

Drake and Rosinante immediately spotted a squad of Fish-Men on the shore.

They both recognized the Fish-Man leading the group; he was named Arlong. Among all the Fish-Men in the Calamity Corporation's Fish-Man unit, this guy was one of the most vicious.

He seemed to harbor intense malice toward humans, often attacking human towns under various pretexts. Attacking pirates was even more common.

However, Arlong was not the focus right now.

Drake and Rosinante's pupils constricted slightly at that moment.

They both saw the figure standing next to Arlong.

Emotionless, eyes vacant.

It was a Disaster Knight!

By now, the existence of these guys was no secret. These artificially created monsters, all sporting the same face, had massacred countless resistance fighters during the expansion of the Pirate Alliance.

Everyone in the world now knew that every one of Roa's Disaster Knights was a monster in the true sense of the word, unmatched even by Marine Headquarters Vice Admirals.

They actually deployed a Disaster Knight!

Drake and Rosinante both felt a tightening in their hearts.

"Shaha-hahaha! Red Flag Drake! You're the bastard, right?"

Arlong folded his arms, looking mockingly at the hastily approaching Drake and Rosinante.

"Arlong the Fish-Man!"

Drake stopped, standing not far in front of Arlong. He was on high alert, gripping a battle axe in one hand and a long sword in the other, "Did you come here for me?"

"Don't play dumb,"

Arlong grinned, revealing a mouth full of sharp teeth, "Don't you know why I'm here?"

Then, his eyes suddenly lit up, "Could it be that you want to refuse us? Refuse the Calamity Corporation's recruitment?"

He hated every human being in the world equally, even the lofty Lord Roa.

It was just that Fish-Man Island's fate was held in the palm of that Lord's hand.

Although Arlong hated humans, he loved his kin, and coupled with the guidance of his most respected Brother Tiger, Arlong could only obediently serve the Calamity Corporation.

However, he certainly didn't mind causing as much trouble for humans as possible within his authority.

Just like now.

If there wasn't a Disaster Knight following him, he definitely wouldn't waste any words with these bastards; he would simply announce their refusal to join and then take them out.

Drake's eyes darkened, and his gaze instinctively darted to the expressionless Disaster Knight.

If we refuse, this monster will attack immediately.

He was no match for this monster.

However, they had come here for exactly this purpose.

"Oh? Still no answer? Do you really intend to refuse?"

Arlong's eyes instantly brightened.

He liked these tough nuts; they were more satisfying to deal with!

"Prepare to move out!"

He laughed.

No matter the human's status, every time he killed one, a genuine sense of joy welled up in his heart!

"Wait a minute!"

Just then, Rosinante finally stepped forward. He raised his voice and shouted, "Don't act recklessly!"

"You are,"

Arlong recalled, "The Drake Pirates' Vice-Captain, Silent Rosinante? You're a Paramecia Calm-Calm Fruit user, right!"

Although the Calm-Calm Fruit seemed somewhat useless, a Devil Fruit was a Devil Fruit, and it couldn't be let go.

"Shaha-hahaha! You dare tell me not to act recklessly?"

Arlong grinned, "Who do you think you are to order me around?"

Rosinante took a deep breath, and then, shouted loudly, "You better not act recklessly! My name is Rosinante, Donquixote Rosinante!"

"Donquixote?"

Arlong paused.

So familiar... where have I heard that before?

"Donquixote? Brother Arlong!!"

A Fish-Man behind Arlong quickly tugged his clothes, "The full name of our company's top executive, Doflamingo, is Donquixote Doflamingo!"

"What??"

Arlong's voice suddenly became shrill, and his eyes toward Rosinante were filled with shock.

"Doflamingo—"

Doflamingo was an elder of the Calamity Corporation, one of the earliest to follow the Boss besides Barrett and Dylan, a true top executive!

Forget him, even Brother Tiger wouldn't dare offend that guy!

Does this guy actually have a connection to that monster?

"That's right!"

Rosinante clenched his fists, feigning a frustrated, cornered appearance, "That man is my elder brother! If you don't believe me, you can go verify it yourself! I only have one request: don't attack us!"

He absolutely couldn't show that he had actively sought out Doflamingo.

It had to appear as if he was reluctantly forced to seek protection from that guy!

Only then would suspicion be minimized.

Arlong froze for a moment, instinctively looking at the expressionless Disaster Knight.

"Contact the superior."

The human weapon finally spoke slowly.

"Yes!"

Arlong naturally didn't dare to disobey in the slightest.

This monster had no emotions whatsoever; any action that violated its protocol would immediately result in a ruthless attack.

Arlong truly didn't dare to be presumptuous in front of him.

So, soon, Arlong's phone call went through to a nearby sky battleship.

And then, the call went directly to Calamity City.

Calamity City had been moving along the Red Line for quite some time now, already approaching the North Pole.

It must be said that this one-of-a-kind continent had virtually no development or utilization.

Looking down from above, all one could see was a stretch of crimson color: no settlements, no rivers, no forests, and barely any life.

Violet, other than when sleeping, was constantly looking around, but unfortunately, she still hadn't discovered anything.

It was at this moment that Dylan brought news from the North Blue.

"Dylan, are you saying,"

Roa's expression rapidly shifted from initial confusion—'Who the hell is this?'—to one of intrigued curiosity—'Something like this happened?'—"Doffy's younger brother?"

"Barring any accidents, it should be him."

Dylan's tone was calm, but there was a hint of strangeness in his eyes.

Back in the North Blue, that kid had cried and run away from them.

They had thought he had died in some corner of the world long ago, but he was still alive?

"Hahaha, how interesting,"

Roa laughed aloud, "He's still the Vice-Captain of that Drake Pirates, right?"

"Yes, Boss,"

Dylan said, "The Captain is Red Flag Drake, rumored to have been a Marine who defected a year ago to become a pirate."

"Is that so?"

The smile on the corner of Roa's mouth grew brighter.

Rosinante alone couldn't confirm it, but adding Drake into the mix, what else was there to say?

"Speaking of which, why haven't I heard their names before?"

Roa suddenly recalled.

"Pirates of that caliber haven't been qualified to have their names reach Calamity City."

Dylan replied.

Although the Donquixote surname was not very common, the Drake Pirates were simply too insignificant. How could anyone connect the Vice-Captain of that pirate crew with the top executives of the Calamity Corporation?

The subordinates wouldn't even report it, and even Morgans hadn't noticed, as he didn't know Doflamingo had a younger brother.

"Haha, never mind,"

Roa said with a laugh, "Then what are we waiting for? Go tell Doffy the good news! After decades apart, he must really miss his dear younger brother!"

Hmm, if so, can we use them to find the current whereabouts of the World Government?

Playing an double agent, are we? Let me give you a reverse double agent!
