Chapter 232 - Chapter 232: A Warning, A Game, and Saving the Live-in Husband Kuma!

"Well, Boss," Morgans on the other end of the line had already launched into his explanation, "it seems Dragon and Ivankov have a very important comrade who was captured by Charlotte Linlin. So they've decided to go rescue him. They're even prepared to never return, having already arranged who will take their positions if they don't come back! Should we do anything about this?"

"What?"

Roa was taken aback.

"You find it strange too, right?" Morgans' voice was thick with incomprehension. "How did the Charlotte Family get involved with the Freedom Fighters all the way in North Blue? None of the Freedom Fighters' cadres are missing."

"No, I knew about that part long ago. I was the one who asked Auntie Linlin to catch him. He's not a Freedom Fighters' cadre, but he is Ivankov's close friend." Roa sat up straight, his voice filled with shock. "What surprises me is that Dragon is prepared to risk everything to rescue his comrade from my Auntie Linlin's hands?"

"You knew already?" Morgans was instantly startled. So what kind of wicked deed is the Boss up to this time?

Then, after hearing the latter half of Roa's sentence clearly, he asked in confusion, "It's just rescuing a comrade, isn't it? What's so surprising about that?"

Innumerable people on the sea would do that to rescue their comrades, right?

Roa then spoke with deep meaning, "Morgans, you still don't understand Dragon well enough."

How could the famous Sweating King have earned his reputation for nothing?

In the original story, Ginny was the commander of the Revolutionary Army's East Army, a genuine high-ranking member. Yet, when she was captured and tormented by the Celestial Dragons, didn't Dragon practically do nothing?

You might argue that the Revolutionary Army was weak then, unable to directly storm the Reverie and declare war on the World Government, unable to raid Mary Geoise's supply ships and leave the Holy Land's Celestial Dragons in distress, so they had to endure it.

Fine. But right now, aren't the Freedom Fighters even weaker?

What great difference is there between the Charlotte Family now and the World Government at the time Ginny was captured, in relation to the Revolutionary Army?

After all, besides the main Charlotte Family, all the major powers in the New World are nominally Auntie Linlin's allies!

"He is absolutely not the kind of person to easily risk everything to save someone, even if that person were his closest relative! Let alone just Ivankov's friend! There must be something fishy going on!" Roa declared firmly.

He might not understand friendship and bonds on the sea, but he definitely understood Dragon!

This was simply not something that guy would do!

Whether it's cowardice, lack of compassion, or simply seeing the bigger picture, the cause of the Freedom Fighters is undoubtedly paramount in that guy's heart.

He doesn't even know Kuma yet. Risking everything for someone who can be called a complete stranger?

Nonsense!

"Uh..." Morgans was hesitant, unable to fathom how the Boss instantly arrived at this conclusion.

But since the Boss said it, there must be a reason.

So, Morgans immediately put his brain to work, racking his mind for Dragon's possible motive.

Suddenly, he exclaimed, "I get it, Boss! Dragon knows full well how heavily we've infiltrated his Freedom Fighters, so this great fanfare is a way to get the news to us!"

"Oh?" Roa's eyes immediately lit up. "I see! Knowing I won't easily let them perish, he's using this method, hoping I'll step in to mediate, is that it? Dragon, that guy is such a baby!"

Even if he can't help them rescue Kuma, they'd be satisfied if he simply helped stop Auntie Linlin from retaliating against them, right?

One must admit, Dragon's plan wasn't baseless.

Roa truly didn't want to see the Freedom Fighters, which he had painstakingly nurtured, just vanish like this.

"That must be it!" Morgans immediately declared indignantly. "Boss, Dragon is getting a bit too arrogant, trying to manipulate you! We must teach him a lesson this time!"

"That may be true, but how should I teach him a lesson?" Roa stroked his chin.

It's a shame.

It's a shame Auntie Linlin is already pregnant. Otherwise, she certainly wouldn't mind giving birth to Garp's grandson, perhaps named Charlotte D. Luffy.

Killing Dragon and Ivankov outright is too extreme; he still expects them to bring some new excitement to the world.

A little warning then.

Roa said, "Didn't the Freedom Fighters send people to infiltrate various nations in North Blue to wait for the opportunity to start an uprising? Then let them start early. Seriously, starting an uprising before preparations are complete... Dragon, how many people are you going to get killed this time?"

Perfect, it'll make North Blue even more lively.

"Heh heh heh, understood, Boss!" Morgans chuckled. "Dragon's original intention was to encourage the people to start the uprising themselves, with the Freedom Fighters operating behind the scenes. That's where the name 'Freedom Fighters' came from! He wants the people to stand up and resist themselves!"

"But since you've said so, they naturally must step into the limelight."

"Mm." Roa nodded gently.

The World Government is bored and bothering him; letting the Freedom Fighters divert some of their attention is a good idea.

I feel much better now.

Right, speaking of Kuma, I think of Ginny, and speaking of Ginny, I think of NTR.

Since they're going to rescue Kuma, Ginny will certainly go too, right?

Kuma is already Auntie Linlin's live-in husband, and Ginny has been cuckolded. It wouldn't be right to make her a de facto widow, would it?

Sigh, why am I so kind?

With such a good heart, why are there still so many people who want to cause me trouble?

Indeed, the kind are easily bullied.

"There's certainly been a lot of trouble lately," Roa couldn't help but sigh. "I'm having trouble keeping up."

"What?" Morgans was suddenly stunned. "Boss, there are more guys who don't know when to quit? Is it the World Government?"

That's the only one he could think of.

He had been utterly intoxicated by the Boss's prowess in Loguetown.

The Boss thoroughly thrashed the Five Elders and then easily withdrew from the clutches of that unknown super monster who appeared later. The World Government's face was utterly ground into the mud.

It would be strange if they didn't seek revenge, wouldn't it?

"It's outrageous, isn't it? The World Government is actually planning to recruit Wang Zhi and the others, as well as Elbaf and the Whitebeard Pirates, to team up and deal with me," Roa complained.

"What?" Morgans paled in shock. "Something like that is happening? I knew CP agents have been running back and forth in the New World lately. Has the Seven Warlords Plan already been launched?"

"Then, Boss, how should we respond?"

"Of course, we warn them first. And then, how about we play a game of counter-infiltration with the World Government?" Roa curved his lips into a smile.

"Ooh! That sounds incredibly fun! Heh heh, Boss, I'm already looking forward to it!"

"Then you can look forward to it for now. Right, since Dragon expects us to mediate, he must have revealed when they plan to rescue their comrade, right?"

"As expected of you, Boss. Dragon did leave the time of their action, citing the need to reassure the high-ranking members of the Freedom Fighters. It's in one week!"

"Very good."

After ending the call with Morgans, Roa pondered for a moment, then called for his three top commanders.

"Boss, is there anything you need us to do for you?" Dylan, Roa's true right-hand man, spoke first.

"Dylan, take a trip to Elbaf. I have something I need to tell Harald; you go relay the message for me," Roa said. "The world's strongest Giant, the Captain's friend, and Loki's father, is worthy of respect. Sending you in person should be solemn enough."

"Yes." Dylan bowed his head.

As for Uncle Wang Zhi, they're close buddies; a single phone call is enough to clear things up.

Oh, and there's the Whitebeard Pirates. No need to bother with them. It would be strange if Whitebeard, who values the lives of his sons and daughters above all else, got involved in this matter.

"As for you two," Roa then looked at his military power's right and left hands, "Bullet, King, you two go to Whole Cake Island."

"Whole Cake Island?" King paused, then a smile appeared on his face. "Boss, are we finally making a move on the Charlotte Family?"

"Then just leave it to us, Boss!" Bullet chuckled excitedly. "We'll turn Whole Cake Island upside down!"

"No, you're not going to start a war." Roa couldn't help but be amused.

Come to think of it, it has been a long time since they genuinely fought a strong enemy.

It's natural for them to be itching for a fight.

However, right now, the two of them really might be enough to turn Whole Cake Island upside down.

Combined, they might not defeat Auntie Linlin, but they should be able to hold their own.

And their mobility is something Auntie Linlin can't even dream of catching up to.

"I'm sending you to mediate a conflict, and incidentally, to bring someone back for me."

King and Bullet were slightly startled, then both nodded simultaneously. "Yes!"

A short while later, on Hachinosu Island, inside the Skull Building.

Wang Zhi was contemplating his next move when the Den Den Mushi rang at an inconvenient time.

"Hm?" Wang Zhi, his thoughts interrupted, frowned slightly and answered the phone in a somewhat grumpy mood. "Who is it?"

His voice involuntarily carried a hint of annoyance.

"Oh, is Uncle Wang Zhi in a bad mood?"

A light, playful laugh came from the other end of the line.

Only one person in the world would talk to him like that and call him by that name.

Calling at this very moment?

Wang Zhi's heart immediately sank.

This brat has done too many unbelievable things.

So, the moment he heard the voice, Wang Zhi exclaimed internally, I've been exposed? Has the collusion with the World Government been exposed?

Wait!

No matter how resourceful this kid is, his connection with him is a genuine secret of the World Government. How could it be leaked so easily?

Wang Zhi calmed himself down. Just as he was about to speak, he heard Roa continue on the phone:

"Are you troubled because you're planning to collude with the World Government and stab me in the back?"

It's completely exposed!

In that instant, Wang Zhi's heart nearly leaped out of his chest!

It must have been leaked from the World Government's side!

The only people on his side who knew about this were himself, Silver Axe, and John. There was no premise for a leak whatsoever.

Damn it!

And they claim to have ruled the world for eight hundred years! What kind of garbage administration is the World Government?!

"Roa, what are you talking about? I don't understand."

Although he knew it would be difficult to talk his way out of it, Wang Zhi decided to try one more time.

"Oh? Don't insult my intelligence like that again, Uncle Wang Zhi," Roa's voice was filled with a leisurely smile. "If you say that again, I'll have to tell Uncle Shiki that you were the one who sabotaged him during the siege of Roger, which led to him ultimately being defeated by Roger."

"..."

Wang Zhi's face instantly turned ashen.

That cursed World Government!

They leaked even that piece of information?

Just how deeply has Roa, this bastard brat, infiltrated them?

However, then again, just how resourceful is this kid, Roa?!

He's not even seventeen yet, possesses overwhelming personal strength, and the power under his command is incomprehensibly strong?

Is this even logical?

Still, there was no denying it now.

Wang Zhi took a deep breath, sweat unconsciously beading on his forehead. "Roa, you misunderstood. I was only trying to pretend to cooperate with the World Government to see if there was an opportunity to scheme against them one more time."

It was a bit shameful to admit.

Wang Zhi realized one thing: he was unconsciously afraid of Roa's anger.

Was that why he wanted to agree to the World Government's proposal?

Because he truly didn't have the confidence to defeat Roa.

"Oh! I suspected as much! Uncle Wang Zhi, you didn't disappoint me after all!" Roa's voice was as light as ever; it was impossible to discern his true emotions.

Wang Zhi had known him for so many years and had never seen Roa genuinely angry or serious. Even as a young boy, he always faced everything with a playful attitude.

So now, Wang Zhi couldn't determine what Roa truly meant.

"In that case, don't waste this opportunity, Uncle Wang Zhi. Let's give the World Government a huge surprise together!"

In that instant, Wang Zhi felt as if he saw a venomous snake flicking its tongue.

The World Government is about to have another disaster! Wang Zhi couldn't help but think.

Should I refuse?

Should I refuse Roa?

Wang Zhi inhaled deeply, and then he heard himself say,

"Fine."

A few days later, in the central area of the waters controlled by the Charlotte Family—the outer perimeter of the Whole Cake Island territory.

A small ship quietly approached the area.

Four people stood on the ship's deck.

"Ginny, are you really coming with us?" The large-faced Ivankov turned to his sister, saying earnestly, "Whole Cake Island is extremely dangerous. Why don't you wait for us outside?"

"No way!" Ginny shook her head determinedly. "Since we're going to rescue Kuma, I absolutely cannot be absent!"

"Besides, Big Brother, don't underestimate me. I've been training all these years to protect Kuma!"

"Enough! We're already here, so what's the point of talking about going back?" Crocodile snapped. "This woman isn't a little kid. She knows what she's doing!"

"Alright!" Ivankov nodded gravely. "Then Ginny, you must stick close to us. Do not, under any circumstances, act on your own!"

"Remember one thing: we are here to rescue someone," Dragon said. "Finding Kuma is our victory!"

Kuma's ability can easily carry all of them away.

"Then, let's begin the infiltration now!" Crocodile grinned. "I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing what kind of dragon's den or tiger's lair the home base of one of the Seven Monarchs, Charlotte Linlin, is!"

"The Charlotte Family's intelligence gathering is second to none, and their deployment in the Whole Cake Island territory is beyond mentioning," Dragon said. "A normal infiltration would not make it easy to reach Whole Cake Island successfully."

"But just like the Calamity Company's Fish-Man logistics, we should have no problem going under the sea."

A layer of coating was applied to the surface of the small ship.

Regardless, the operation to rescue the live-in husband Kuma has begun.
