Duke Full Moon Olmer's words paused slightly, then he continued in a flat tone:
"The aura on your body is quite complex. I seem to sense the favor of more than one great existence. They seem to come from the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, the Earth Mother, and even the True Creator and the Hidden Sage."
"In the thousands of years I've lived, this is the first time I've seen such a situation. You are very special."
Leyton, in his Sage state, nodded slightly with little expression, his gaze curiously fixed on the brass astrolabe placed on the table to the left of Duke Full Moon Olmer.
Under the Eyes of Mystery Prying's vision, he could clearly see that the abnormal gravity and electromagnetism around him originated from this hand-sized astrolabe.
From this astrolabe, he saw a brilliant cosmos and the trajectory of the stars' movements.
Buzz~
The semi-real, semi-illusory illusion formed by the combination of gravity and electromagnetism suddenly became unstable. Ethereal roars echoed continuously, as if murmurs from the stars, making even a demigod feel dizzy.
Leyton's heart pounded violently. He felt an inexplicable, deep-seated longing.
Even though his spiritual intuition kept warning him, he couldn't tear his gaze away from the astrolabe. It was as if something very important to him lay behind it.
Taking a deep breath, he immediately closed his eyes, the deep blue, almost purple, glow in his pupils quickly receding.
After losing the vision of the Eyes of Mystery Prying, he could feel that inexplicable, almost instinctive desire diminish significantly, though he still couldn't help but want to examine the astrolabe.
What's going on? Why am I reacting so strongly to this astrolabe?
Leyton suppressed his curiosity and turned his gaze to Duke Full Moon Olmer, who also looked a bit surprised, and said in a hoarse voice:
"Did it come from the cosmos?"
Without the blessing of the Sage state, his expression and voice became much more lively, no longer as cold and flat as before.
Duke Full Moon Olmer looked at Leyton in surprise, then chuckled after a moment of thought:
"Yes, this is something I accidentally summoned through the Summoning Gate when I was still a High Summoner. It came from a peculiar creature with power different from the twenty-two divine pathways."
"Perhaps you know that a High Summoner's 'summoning' can occasionally undergo uncontrollable mutations, causing strange creatures not from the spirit world and not bound by contracts to descend into reality. And these creatures are all related to the boundless and dark universe."
As he spoke, he picked up the astrolabe on his left. A brilliant light flashed, and the gravity in the entire room became abnormal. Whether it was tables, chairs, or even Bugs Bunny, who was clinging to Leyton's back, everything floated uncontrollably.
"Oh, boss, help! I'm flying!"
Bugs Bunny flailed his limbs in the air, like a beached fish, no matter how hard he tried to flip his body, he couldn't change the situation.
Gravity? And the cosmos... This seems to be a pathway similar to the Paragon. Is there an Outer God of the Stars that is close to the authority of the Knowledge Moor and can be mutually devoured and accommodated?
Thoughts constantly flashed through Leyton's mind. He had a vague feeling that his previous glimpse of the astrolabe had already attracted the other party's attention.
"Heh, don't worry, I just significantly reduced the gravity around here."
Duke Full Moon Olmer chuckled, casually reassuring Bugs Bunny.
As he spoke, he swept his hand over the astrolabe, wiping away the floating azure glow on it. The surrounding gravity instantly returned, and all the tables, chairs, cutlery, and Bugs Bunny, who had been floating in mid-air, fell down.
Duke Full Moon Olmer placed the astrolabe back on the table and introduced it with a chuckle:
"The creature I summoned from the mutated Summoning Gate had a peculiar title, which translates to 'Navigator'."
"It has a deep understanding of space and dimensions, and can find hidden routes in the void. For a 'Navigator', navigating ships on the sea should be a very easy task."
"As for this astrolabe, it's an item formed by the convergence of its characteristics after I killed it. From the information I've gathered, it seems to correspond to a pathway called 'Astronomy Aficionado'."
"As a Blessed of knowledge and Wisdom, what are your thoughts on this?"
Navigator and Astronomy Aficionado? I wonder which entity controls this pathway. The name actually sounds more like 'Door'... Leyton muttered to himself, then looked thoughtfully at Duke Full Moon Olmer, who was sitting opposite him, and said:
"There are far more than twenty-two divine pathways, but only these twenty-two pathways and their corresponding characteristics exist on this planet. However, this Astronomy Aficionado pathway does sound somewhat similar to 'Door'."
"We seem to have strayed from the topic. Perhaps we should discuss the matter of the Primordial Moon Believers. Of course, if you are willing to sell this astrolabe, I'd be happy to continue this conversation."
Duke Full Moon Olmer was silent for a moment, then chuckled:
"Most members of the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom have a hobby of collecting peculiar items. It seems that you, as a Clairvoyant, also share this hobby."
"If I can retrieve the characteristics belonging to the Bloodline from those thieves who stole the authority and power of the moon, I can exchange this astrolabe with you. It is of no use to me, but its ability is quite peculiar, which is why I have kept it by my side."
Thieves? In a sense, the Primordial Moon is the true owner of this pathway... Leyton sighed inwardly, then nodded noncommittally, agreeing to the other party's suggestion.
After a brief pause, he asked curiously:
"Is Duke Full Moon Olmer planning to take action personally?"
"No, those pawns of the Primordial Moon have a deep connection with the Rose School of Thought. If I act rashly, it might attract the interference of that Abomination."
"I will continue to monitor this place to ensure the plan proceeds smoothly."
Duke Full Moon Olmer slowly shook his head, explaining in a hoarse voice.
Leyton nodded gently and casually said:
"When it comes to the Primordial Moon, most divination and prophecy methods will be interfered with. We can only formulate plans based on known information. I need some time to gather information. How should I contact you afterwards?"
"Soon, a Bloodline will come to find you," Duke Full Moon Olmer responded in a deep voice.
As his words fell, his figure and the surrounding semi-real, semi-illusory illusion simultaneously became transparent and quickly faded away.
In a moment, the surroundings returned to the original appearance of the inn. Sunlight streamed through the window, making the messy room appear somewhat dazzling.
Leyton casually glanced around, then raised his hand and scattered brilliant starlight, stirring up a starlight storm in the room that rearranged all the scattered items, which had been displaced by the previous abnormal gravity, back to their original positions.
"Astronomer..." Leyton stood by the window, looking at the street outside, and murmured softly.
His eyes suddenly became profound, like the sea before a storm.
Vague images quickly surfaced in his mind. He saw a brilliant cluster of stars, moving along their respective trajectories in the deep, dark universe. Starlight shimmered, and ethereal whispers echoed in his ears.
The image in his mind shattered almost as soon as it formed, as if looking further would provoke a terrifying existence.
Leyton exhaled a long breath, his gaze clear once more, with faint, fragmented starlight still lingering in his eyes, making them appear profound and deep.
"The power is related to the stars, capable of influencing and manipulating physical laws to a certain extent. At a certain level, they can even become black holes..."
"It fits the Paragon, capable of devouring and accommodating corresponding high-level characteristics, uniqueness, and original materials..."
"It seems to be targeting the Knowledge Moor. It must become a Demon of Knowledge, otherwise, at the end of days, it will become a delicious meal on the other side's table."
Leyton struggled to digest the information that had just been poured into his mind, an indescribable longing and urgency growing in his heart.
Adjusting his emotions, he looked up at the white clouds and blue sky, his gaze seemingly able to penetrate layers of obstruction to see the brilliant cosmos. Is this not an infusion of knowledge from the Hidden Sage, but a reminder from the Knowledge Moor?
It seems the seal left by the Celestial Worthy is gradually having less effect on it. It can now freely transmit information to me. If this continues, it might not even need to wait for the Lord of the Mysteries to appear; it could break through the seal in some way and descend upon the Northern and Southern continents.
After a moment of silence, he walked to the desk placed against the wall and sat down. He casually tore a blank sheet of paper from a notebook, took out the Demoness Sect card, which had been partially sealed, and examined it carefully. A hint of mischievous smile on his lips, he began writing a letter to Bernadette.
Respected Ms. Bernadette:
There's something I need to apologize for. The Wheel of Fortune card I borrowed from you last time was damaged due to an accident. As compensation, I found the Card of Blasphemy of the Demoness Sect. I hope it can make up for the Wheel of Fortune card you lost.
Recently, the Primordial Moon Believers in the Paz River Valley area of West Balam have been very active. I plan to clear them out, along with the cultists Concealment here. Do you have any suggestions for this?
Also, there's something I feel it's necessary to inform you about. I've uncovered some information regarding the Loen Royal Family's previous machinations with the Demoness Sect, and I've formed some conjectures about it...
Someone in the Loen Royal Family is preparing to advance to Black Emperor, most likely the current King George III. As for how he managed to hide it from the Evernight and Storm Churches, I suspect other forces might also be involved, or even pushing this matter.
I've seen the Black Emperor card, and it has this description regarding the Black Emperor's ability to resurrect from death: Only when a new Black Emperor is born will the previous Black Emperor truly die!
Leyton chuckled as he put down the round-bellied fountain pen, then folded the letter and tucked the Demoness Sect card in the middle of the letter.
He then rose from his chair, quickly found ritual materials in the room, and set up a simple ritual to summon a messenger.
After lighting the candle and dripping in essential oil and floral water, he stepped back and softly chanted the incantation to summon the messenger:
"I; I summon in my name:"
"Invisible creatures that roam the Upper Realm, strange spirits friendly to humans, Bernadette Gustav's exclusive messenger."
A cold wind suddenly swept through the room. This time, Leyton's vision clearly captured Bernadette's speedster messenger:
The strange centaur-like creature appeared at an incredible speed, its six legs creating rings of silver-gray afterimages as it moved. It ran two circles around Leyton before reaching out to pick up the letter with the Demoness Sect card on the table, and returned to the Spirit World through the passage created by the ritual.
After all this happened, Leyton saw that the flickering flame on the candle in front of him hadn't even had time to waver.
As expected of a speedster. If it launched an attack at this speed, even a demigod would find it difficult to react.
As thoughts flickered, Leyton used a secret art to imprint the image he had just recorded through the Eyes of Mystery Prying. Then, he summoned a Knowledge Rabbit and had it deliver the imprinted image to his the Prophet Clone, to try and develop some convenient speed-related secret arts.
Caw— Bang!
A crow's cry came from outside the window, followed by the crisp sound of it hitting the window.
Leyton tilted his head to look at Crow Anu, who was sliding down the window, and gently rubbed his fingers, creating a "door" connecting to the hotel room beneath it.
Crow Anu's figure fell directly from the ceiling, landing with a thump on the small round table by the window. For a moment, it was so dazed it saw stars and couldn't get up.
