Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

Henry looked at the system panel as he sat on his computer chair. He has acquired three new skills, each one of them seemed to be quite helpful.

[Opportunity Intuition (Lv.1)]

[Guide user to available opportunity. Current usage: 1 time per day]

The description was quite vague, so Henry was unable to know what the system fully meant. The system doesn't provide any other explanation, so he'll just pass it out for now

Henry shifted his gaze towards the next skill. The first skin wouldn't be beneficial for him until he decides to create a business, so it shouldn't be his priority for now.

The next skill is quite simple. It's just a dimensional wallet that could store his money like bank. This could be beneficial as it could eliminate the concern of paying high rate of admin price. That being said, his wealth right now isn't in a level where he should be worrying about it.

[Passive Income Radar], by its description was also the same. It allows him to search for a profitable stock, so it would be beneficial only later on the line.

For now, he should focus on doing the third mission.

[Mission: Capital Building Part 1]

[Objective: Open a brokerage account and put half of your current saving into it, then use Passive Income Radar to find buy a promising stock]

[Rewards: New Skill Unlocked]

"Brokerage account huh?" he muttered, clicking over to his browser.

This time, the system asked him to do something that felt official. It felt like a proper system that guides him to become a rich guy. No small and lowly hustle on the street corner. No selling sandwiches to drunk college students. This was the realm of real investors — people in suits with financial degrees and passive income portfolios.

He shrugged and got to work. This is just a start. He's nowhere near a real legit business man.

He checked his balance again. After the grilled cheese gig, he had $42.75 tucked away in the system's dimensional wallet. His bank account, however, was looking more scrumptious in comparison. Inside, his number reach 100 thousand dollars.

It might seem like a lot of money, but keep in mind he still needed to use it to keep himself afloat. It slowly getting drain each day passed, and had nothing changed it would probably be gone in the next two years.

"Half of my savings..." he calculated aloud. "That's, what, like $50 grand total?"

Not exactly the foundation of a financial empire, but apparently, that was enough to trigger this mission. He followed the system's prompt and searched for beginner-friendly brokerage platforms. The system subtly highlighted one as he hovered — a clean, mobile-friendly app with low fees and instant verification.

[System Hint: Chosen platform qualifies for mission completion. Proceed.]

The application process was surprisingly fast. Name. ID. Link a bank account. It was done in under 15 minutes.

"Now for the scary part," he muttered.

He transferred $50.000 into the brokerage account. As he confirmed the transaction, the system pinged:

[Progress Updated: 50% Complete]

A new panel faded in — sleek and semi-transparent, like a radar display.

[Passive Income Radar Activated]

Scanning for micro-cap and stable growth opportunities within current capital limits...

Analyzing market volatility... filtering high-risk trades...

Henry watched as a list of three stock tickers appeared, each with a short description beside it:

NEOH RAZA LUMI

Henry stared at the screen, the system softly highlighting NEOH in green. It's definitely a signal that it considered it the best choice for his current level. Still, it wasn't forcing him.

He leaned forward, chin resting on his hand. The pointer of his PC moved toward the buy option. He then clicked the option next to NEOH. The order processed.

[Transaction Complete – NEOH Acquired]

[Mission Complete: Capital Building Part 1]

[New Skill Unlocked: "Market Pulse (Lv. 1)"]

[Market Pulse (Lv. 1) (Passive): Allows user to feel micro-fluctuations in selected stocks. Grants minor early warning effect before dips or spikes. The higher the level, the better the information given by the skill]

Henry felt a subtle warmth pulse behind his eyes — a soft sensation, like a new instinct settling into place. It wasn't knowledge exactly, but more like a faint tug of awareness.

He then opened his portfolio, seeing the new stock balance staring back at him.

Truth to be told, he doesn't have any clue on how to operate stock. He has never tried something like this before, so deep down, even with the existence of system, there's a nervous feeling after using half of his savings at once.

Still, the system worked before, so perhaps he should relax a little. He stood up, stretched, and looked out the window toward the rising sun behind the apartment's buildings.

Ding!

A few second after, a new notification popped up.

[New Mission Unlocked]

[Mission: Capital Building Part 2]

[Objective: Go to a betting place and use Opportunity Intuition to win a bet]

[Reward: Skill Level up]

"Huh?"
