Chapter 28 - Stupid Rumors

[Girls' Bathhouse]

Sakura stepped into the warm, bath house and her eyes widened instantly.

Whoa…

All around her were beautiful girls with glowing skin and… huge boobs. Gigantic, perfect, anime-level boobs.

She slowly lowered her gaze to her own chest.

…Average.

Why are theirs so big?! Is this… normal? No. No, I'm just overthinking this… right?

She gulped hard, trying to comfort herself as the insecurity hit like a truck.

"Hey, Sakura!"

She jumped at Hikari's cheerful voice. The girl was standing there, smiling innocently… and fully naked.

And her boobs… were massive. Perfect curves, soft and full, like something out of a magazine.

"Wanna go to the steam room together?" Hikari asked casually.

"Y-Yeah, su—" Sakura froze, eyes locked on Hikari's chest, her entire body trembling in shock.

WHY?! Even Hikari?!

"I hate it here," Sakura whimpered, tears forming in the corners of her eyes.

Hikari tilted her head in confusion.

"Umm… what happened? Why are you crying?!"

[Steam Room]

Hot mist filled the room, soft and suffocating, as women sat around in silence, enjoying the heat. Sakura and Hikari slid onto a wooden bench beside each other, towels wrapped loosely around them.

"Mmm… this feels amazing," Hikari said with a dreamy smile. "After this, a dip in the hot spring… today might be the best day of my life!"

Sakura shot her a look.

"Girl, you literally live like a princess. Don't you have a bunch of hot springs at home?"

"Yeah," Hikari admitted with a giggle. "But it's not the event that makes this special… it's who I'm spending it with."

Sakura blinked.

"…Whoa, that was beautiful."

Then her lips curled into a grin as she slung an arm over Hikari's shoulder.

"Speaking of special… naked Sato is just a walk away. Wanna go peek?"

Hikari's face turned red instantly.

"Stop it! I was trying NOT to think about that!"

"Oh, come on!" Sakura teased, eyes sparkling. "You're basically dating him, right? Don't you think you should, you know… do something romantic? I doubt you've even touched him."

Hikari's entire face went crimson.

"W-Well… we have kissed before," she muttered, voice so soft it was almost a whisper.

The room went silent. Sakura blinked.

"…Huh?"

"…Huh?" Hikari repeated nervously, realizing what she just admitted.

"Don't tell me… you kissed Sato?!" Sakura shot up, eyes wide.

"N-No! He kissed me!" Hikari stammered, waving her hands.

"WHAT?!" Sakura nearly choked on the steam. "When did THIS happen?!"

Hikari lowered her head, cheeks burning.

"... The time he was sick. It's not like that! He fainted and… our lips… touched. By accident! He doesn't even know it happened…"

"Ohhh." Sakura relaxed, then smirked. "Well, that doesn't count. Girl, you gotta take the lead with him! Be bold!"

"I-I can't do that!" Hikari buried her face in her hands, whining like a puppy.

Sakura rolled her eyes, then leaned back with a sigh.

"What if you caught him cheating on you? What would you do?"

Hikari answered without hesitation.

"…I'd be sad… and beg him not to leave. But if he goes, it's his choice."

Sakura stared at her blankly.

This girl… is way too pure for this world.

Hikari added softly, voice trembling,

"To be honest… I don't think Sato really loves me. Not like… I love him. So… I expect him to like someone else eventually."

"…Are you serious right now?" Sakura said, eyes narrowing.

"Huh?"

"Look, I won't lie—I was shocked when you two got together. At first, he probably didn't like you because of… the whole Mafia thing. But now? Now that he knows who you are, if he didn't like you, he would've broken up with you already."

Hikari looked stunned as Sakura leaned closer, her voice firm.

"Do I need to remind you? He stood up to Sora today. SORA. Me and you both know how dangerous that was. If he had the guts to do THAT, don't you think he'd have the guts to break up with you if he didn't like you?"

Sakura smirked, giving her a wink.

"So if you ask me, he DOES like you. He's just too embarrassed to say it."

Hikari's lips trembled as a tiny smile formed.

"…Do you really mean that?"

"I'm sure," Sakura said with confidence. "And if he ever cheats, I'll burn him alive for you."

That made Hikari laugh softly—until her smile faded when she noticed something strange.

Several women were staring at her from across the room… then quickly looked away when she met their eyes. A gap had formed around her—like an invisible barrier.

"Did she see us?" one whispered nervously.

"I hope she doesn't kill us," another muttered.

Hikari froze. Her ears caught every word as more whispers filled the air.

"Why do they let criminals like her in here? She could snap any second."

"Her kind is the reason for all these killings. I wish the Mafia would just disappear."

"…Why do they hate that girl, Mom?" a child asked innocently.

"Because she's the daughter of the most powerful Mafia boss in the world," the mother said coldly. "The root of all our problems."

Hikari's heart shattered. She quickly looked away, forcing a smile even as tears threatened to spill.

Sakura clenched her fists, fury boiling inside her. She stood up, ready to tear into them—but Hikari gently grabbed her arm.

"Wait, Sakura… don't. It's normal. I've gotten used to it."

"USED TO IT?!" Sakura hissed, eyes blazing. "No way. These people don't even know you—"

"They're not wrong," Hikari whispered bitterly. "My dad is the Mafia boss. But I don't care what they think. Because I know… you, Kaito, and Sato don't see me like that. And that's all that matters."

Sakura stared at her for a long moment… then sighed.

"Fine. But we're leaving this steam room."

As they walked toward the exit, Sakura stopped. She turned back to the mother, her smile razor-sharp.

"Oh… and lady?"

The woman froze as Sakura leaned closer, her voice dripping venom.

"It's a shame your kid has to grow up with a mom like you. Do her a favor… and die."

Sakura flashed a wicked grin and left, leaving the woman pale as a ghost.
