As Licht and M watched from the sidelines, M said, "We need to help him!"
Licht said, "No. This is his fight. And as our leader, he will do it. Just watch."
A glowing emblem appeared on Liebe's back as he picked up the blade.
Sloth said, "I put you down twice. I'll do it again, and this time it will be for the last time."
As darkness enveloped Liebe's body, it began to heal all his wounds. Liebe said, "Not again. Never again. I won't go down ever again."
As he charged toward Sloth, Sloth punched him again in the gut. Liebe said, "Not this time," and struck using his swords across Sloth's chest. Yet the attack wasn't enough to do more than scratch him.
Eldrie said, "Any chance he can win, considering he's fighting one of the worst criminals in the world?"
Gelda said, "Sloth's scales are always tough. In fact, they're harder than diamond."
Sloth said, "Is that the best you can do?"
As Liebe said, "No, I'm not done yet," Sloth tried to punch him, but Liebe pierced Sloth's hand using his sword.
Sloth said, "Scale Strike!" as he launched continuous scale strikes. Liebe deflected all of them using his blade.
In that moment, he couldn't help but think: Sloth might be my strongest foe yet—but why? Why is it that I feel he is slow? He's not as fast as Mr. Geno or that monster from a year and a half ago. Neither does he have the strength of Skelos, Gelier, or Aravon, or the precision of the Assassin, or the regeneration of a devil. I can see it now.
As he pierced Sloth's hand and pinned it to the ground, Eldrie said, "He really did it. Sloth's scales are almost as hard as my crystal ice, yet he pierced it. Now this is getting interesting."
Liebe said, "Take this!"
As Liebe's next strike cut across Sloth's chest in a storm, Sloth said, "Scale Magic: Ocean Roar!"
As he unleashed the attack, Liebe blocked it, yet he was forced back. The impact was strong—strong enough to—
Alysa arrived. Alysa said, "We have to help Liebe!"
Licht said, "No, he can win. He is far beyond this."
After the roar attack, even though Liebe blocked it, his forearms were damaged—only the ulna and radius bones remained. There was still flesh in his hands, but his forearms—
Alysa said, "Álfrinn, please save him! You have to!"
Álfrinn said, "No, my lady. He doesn't need it. Just look."
They looked—Liebe's hand wasn't just healing; it was regenerating—regeneration strong enough to be comparable to a devil. As the flesh regrew around his forearms, just as before, Liebe said, "Is that all?"
Sloth created clones, each one just as strong as the original. The clones charged toward Liebe.
Liebe said, "Dark Magic: Vesta Grand Blades!"
As Liebe fought the seven clones, the real body stayed behind. Sloth said, "How dare you! How dare you harm my perfect body! Now—Scale Magic: Ocean!"
Liebe said, "Not this time," as he threw his Leviathan knife into Sloth's mouth. It went through—Sloth couldn't talk.
Liebe said, "I'm ending this." In a combo, he finished off the clones. "Now—Dark Magic: Black Excalibur Strike!"
Sloth used Scale Magic: Black Scale Strike.
As their attacks clashed, Sloth came out on top. Yet, as Liebe was getting engulfed, Liebe said, "Grand Strike—once more!"
And this time, as that final attack finished Sloth, Sloth said, "How… how could I lose to a mere half-breed…?"
Álfrinn said, "As I stated previously—he won."
Eldrie said, "So that's Vanadis Eilífa Áin. What pure devastation."
Gelda said, "Looks like he lost consciousness after that strike. Even though he's unconscious, he's still standing. Eldrie, Gelda—go check his pulse."
As Gelda checked Liebe's back, the hearth emblem was there. Gelda said, "This isn't Vanadis Eilífa Áin. It's called Vanadis Eldhugr."
Eldrie said, "No—it's… he has both. Well, now that's impressive."
Álfrinn said, "The Hero's First—a truly glorious occasion, isn't it?"
Gelda said, "The hero's awakening, and we were here to witness it all."
Meanwhile, in the sacred chamber, as Wrath and Pride entered, Lilith said, "Welcome to your demise."
" I saw it , Faust's awakening .It's been so long a new dawn has finally arrived. What do you think of it Faust are you glad , it he is this generation's hero. The hero has finally taken his first step."
