Eventually, time passed, and under Gelda's teaching, Liebe, Licht, Alysa, and Elizabeth grew stronger. By the age of 10, Liebe and Licht were considered to be on par with first-class knights of wind.
When Liebe was 7, on December 23rd, Gelda said,
"Kids, time for your Christmas lists."
As everyone handed over their lists, Gelda said,
"Now those are some nice lists."
Liebe said, "Here is mine."
Gelda said, "It's a bit thick."
But when she unrolled it, it was over 10 meters long.
Gelda blinked. "Umm… young lord, why is it so big?"
Liebe said, "Because it has enough stuff to make sure I don't get bored until next Christmas."
Licht said, "What did you just say?"
Elizabeth said, "That seems… a bit too excessive."
Alysa said, "Seems okay to me."
Licht and Elizabeth screamed, "Don't encourage his ego! It's mostly your fault his ego is like this!"
Liebe said, "What are you guys saying?"
Licht said, "We're saying you have ego issues, dumbass!"
Gelda said, "Well… that might be true—lightly."
Liebe said, "Oh well. Nothing to do."
Licht said, "You really are an egocentric dumbass."
Gelda sighed. "I'll see what I can do."
Later, when Gelda looked through the lists, she saw that while everyone else wanted chocolates, toys, and VR sets, Liebe's entire 10-meter list was filled with things the world couldn't grant him. Some were wishes to see his father again. Some were hugs and kisses from his mother. Some were hopes that both parents would be proud of him.
Realizing that broke Gelda's heart. For a member of the Faust family to not even be granted the basic necessities a child deserves—it caused her more pain than anything else.
On Christmas, while opening gifts, Liebe was disappointed knowing Lilith had work to attend to.
