Chapter 80 - Ch 80 A Visit from the Eternal Goddess

The night had fallen softly over Cerulean City.

Moonlight streamed through the window, brushing faint silver patterns across the sheets where Alex lay sleeping. The gentle hum of the city had faded into the quiet rhythm of the night — peaceful, still, and full of dreams.

As he drifted deeper into slumber, the world around him began to change. The faint glow of the moon melted into golden light, and the air filled with the sweet scent of lilies and starlight.

When Alex opened his eyes again, he was no longer in his room.

He stood in a garden of eternal beauty — glowing rivers of light ran between endless rows of divine flowers, each petal shimmering like a jewel. The air itself hummed softly with power, calm yet infinite.

And there, at the heart of it all, stood her.

The Goddess of Eternity — his first love, his divine wife. Her long hair cascaded like silk woven from the cosmos, her eyes holding the light of countless stars. When she turned to face him, her smile carried both affection and quiet mischief.

Alex blinked, momentarily stunned — then smiled softly.

"My goddess wife," he said, voice gentle. "You came to meet me again."

Her lips curved into an amused smirk. "Oh? You think I came just to see you?" she asked, tilting her head. "I actually came to see what kind of things my husband has been doing with all those girls behind my back."

A drop of sweat ran down Alex's cheek as his back stiffened.

Ah… right. He had been so caught up with Delia, Misty, and the others lately that he had almost — almost — forgotten about his divine partner.

He scratched his cheek, laughing awkwardly. "How could that be, my good wife? You know I love you the most."

The goddess's eyes glimmered dangerously. "Do you, now?" she asked sweetly. "Then what about them, my good husband?"

Alex froze, smiling weakly. It wasn't the confident grin of a hero this time — more like the helpless smile of a man about to meet divine judgment.

"They're… uh… just friends," he said carefully.

Her expression turned into a cold, playful smile that sent a chill down his spine.

"Oh, really?" she said softly, stepping closer. "Do you take me for a fool, Alex? I know what those 'friends' mean to you."

Alex immediately dropped to one knee, guilt written all over his face. "Wife! Actually, they're… girlfriends," he confessed, his head lowering in shame.

For a long moment, the goddess said nothing. The air shimmered faintly with divine light.

Then, instead of scolding him, she let out a soft sigh and placed a hand on his head. "Alex," she said gently, "I never forbade you from loving others. The world you live in allows such bonds. But…" — her tone softened even more — "don't ever forget your first wife. The one who gave you power, and the one who believed in you before anyone else."

Alex's heart trembled. Her words, calm and warm, struck deep into his chest.

He looked up, eyes steady. "I'm sorry, my wife," he said sincerely. "I swear — no matter how many come into my life, I will never forget you. You'll always be my first, my eternal one."

The goddess's expression softened completely. "Good answer, my foolish husband," she whispered, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to his forehead.

A surge of divine warmth flooded his body — soft, soothing, and impossibly pure.

"Remember this warmth," she said as her form began to fade. "When you feel lost, close your eyes… and you'll find me waiting here."

The golden garden dissolved into light.

When Alex opened his eyes again, he was back in his bed. The first rays of dawn slipped through the window, painting the room in soft orange hues.

For a long while, he lay there quietly, staring at the ceiling. Then, with a faint smile, he reached up and touched his forehead — the spot where she had kissed him.

"Thank you," he whispered. "I'll never forget."
