Unlike Arena N.8, where in a few minutes two battles had already ended with the first two defeated, in the other arenas the first fights were still ongoing.
Being a match between first and second stage cultivators, the time limit given for the match was 10 minutes.
Which was reasonable, since in that amount of time a good part of their energy would be used, and similarly, most of their strategies and attacks would be expended, leaving little left.
Therefore, most battles ended within this time frame, and in the rare case that one dragged on too long, the examiner would give a verdict.
Usually, it was easy to see who was more injured, and victory would be declared.
But if the stalemate left neither side with a clear win or loss, the match would be considered a draw, and both sides would be sent back to rest before continuing.
This didn't happen very often, but it could happen that one in ten battles would end in a situation like this.
