Chapter 448 - Chapter 448: Creating Continents, Confronting the Ocean

Chen Xinjie's beard and hair stood on end, fury boiling over. His voice crashed like a tidal wave: "Lies! Douluo Continent's history stretches back millennia—where is this 'Earth God' ever recorded?!"

"Mere beasts! You dare slaughter a Federation lieutenant general and destroy our fleet? Unforgivable crimes!"

Though the War God Hall's other powerhouses remained silent, their eyes turned grave. Soul power surged as magnificent Four-Word Battle Armors manifested, bathing the chaotic seascape in blinding light.

They knew the fallen Super Douluo wasn't just a ship captain—he was a lieutenant general wielding real political power. His death had already pushed matters beyond redemption.

Yet they weren't the main force. The Federation's ultimate trump card had always been strategic-grade soul devices—weapons stockpiled for decades to unify the continent.

"Fire!" Chen Xinjie's command cut like a blade.

The pre-primed soul device array blazed. Eight ninth-grade fixed-type soul projectiles—radiating annihilation—ripped through the sky like death warrants, striking the two unmoving behemoths from multiple angles!

Simultaneously, Chen Xinjie activated his highest clearance, remotely triggering the Northern Sea Army Base's hidden treasure: the tenth-grade soul device [Ice Age]—specially developed to counter top-tier fire-attribute foes.

Facing the screaming projectiles, Gu La inwardly scoffed.

He could teleport them away with spatial power. But how would that showcase the absolute might of the Earth and Magma Overlord?

So, under countless horrified gazes, the two Groudons stood unflinching. The eight projectiles—capable of crippling even Limit Douluos without Four-Word Battle Armor—slammed squarely into their scorching, rock-armored bodies!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOOOOM—!!!!!

A chain of deafening explosions swallowed the beasts in light and heat. Shockwaves violently repelled seawater, carving a colossal depression. The seabed itself shuddered.

Yet as the apocalyptic glow faded, the sight froze every witness's blood.

The two beasts still stood tall. Where struck, their rock skin merely glowed cherry-red—as if branded by hot irons. Not a single crack marred their forms!

Divine-tier defense—how could mortal ninth-grade soul devices hope to breach it?

"ROOOOAR—!!!!!"

Gu La's world-shaking roar echoed with contempt for these ant-like challengers: "Insignificant humans! Utter fools! You brought this upon yourselves!"

No longer holding back, he truly invoked Groudon's earth authority!

"Earthquake!"

This fragile sea zone—situated at continental plate boundaries—erupted in unprecedented seismic fury.

Seabed strata split and compressed with anguished groans. The chain reaction triggered tremors felt along distant coastlines and ignited collective eruptions across undersea volcano chains.

"BOOOOOOM!!!!!"

More volcanoes detonated. Under Groudon's power, magma surged through kilometers of seawater like enraged fire dragons, breaching the surface.

Cataclysm descended. Oceans boiled. Steam choked the sky. The newborn land expanded visibly, relentless.

Then—the long-gathered cold finally struck!

The tenth-grade [Ice Age] fired no physical projectile. Instead, a beam of condensed absolute zero pierced the sea's surface. Instantly, glacial cold spread from its epicenter. The ocean froze at an impossible speed. Thick ice spread like plague, forcibly "suppressing" the boiling waters—even turning steam to falling ice crystals.

Forged from hundred-thousand-year Ice Jade Scorpion's Ultimate Ice and ten-thousand-year Mystic Ice essence, this ice rivaled eleventh-grade soul devices. It was fire's true nemesis.

The ice advanced until it neared the Groudons' hundred-meter perimeter—then halted, repelled by invisible thermal barriers.

Gu La's cold golden eyes gleamed with mockery: "Mere ice… dares to block earth's fury?"

He channeled True Body and divine power to their peak. Magma energy condensed at his core like a second sun!

"Magma's Wrath!"

As if resonating with the blazing sun above, both Groudons reared their heads. From gaping maws, they vomited twin beams of molten rock—each ten meters wide.

These were no simple flames. They were liquid energy compressed to embody earth's rage and annihilation's law.

Like divine whips, the beams swept across the frozen sea!

"SSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH—!!!!!"

Shrieking energy erosion filled the air. [Ice Age]'s impregnable ice vaporized like snow under a furnace!

Unstopping, the beams carved across seven distant soul device warships.

No explosions. Only melting.

Their soul device shields burst like soap bubbles. Alloy armor liquefied into crimson slag. Crews, weapons—all vaporized into nothingness.

Chen Xinjie, moments before impact, unleashed quasi-god-tier soul power and Sea God martial soul might to block the beam.

But his legendary ocean power—which claimed to embrace and dissolve all forces—proved pitiful before this ultimate earth destruction.

Merely grazed by the beam's edge, his Four-Word Battle Armor on both arms turned red-hot, softened, then melted away. Horrific burns seared to the bone!

"ARGH!" Chen Xinjie screamed, retreating in terror. His face wore pure shock and disbelief.

He had no doubt—if he'd hesitated half a second longer, he'd have vanished like those ships.

Staring at his charred, twisted arms, then at the two seemingly unharmed beasts still expanding the land, his heart turned to ice.

Even… even the Sea God Ancestor's divine artifact—the Sea God Helmet—would probably…

Are these truly soul beasts? Despair whispered in his mind.

The surviving War God Hall Titled Douluos gazed at the empty sea. Where the Northern Sea Army and Sea God Legion's elite fleets had anchored—filled with comrades and meticulously trained Battle Armor warriors—nothing remained. Not even wreckage.

Every face was grim.

Though no one voiced it, a silent resentment and terror hung in the air—all this began when Chen Xinjie fired [Ice Age], provoking the unstoppable.

Chen Xinjie felt that cold, subtle hostility. Bitterness rose in his throat. Knowing retreat was inevitable, he gritted out: "Fall back! Return immediately! Convene the Federation's highest emergency council!"

Gu La didn't obstruct their retreat. His goal was achieved.

He continued commanding the Groudon avatars—like tireless creator gods—pushing the newborn land forward without pause.

With each kilometer of expansion, his grasp of Douluo Planet's earth laws deepened. He sensed his actions eroding, compressing another deity's domain here: the Sea God's authority.

In the shadows, Tang Hao burned with anxiety. Watching oceans shrink and Sea God authority waver, he—the Plane Lord—felt the world's laws shudder and weep.

Yet he hesitated. Daring not to use the plane's core power directly, he feared driving off the Abyss Plane and shattering his ten-thousand-year plan. If Douluo's plane declined, he and Ah Yin would perish with it.

This helplessness nearly drove him mad.

Inside the Federation's highest council chamber, chaos reigned.

Factional delegates hurled blame, shirking responsibility. No one dared send their forces against beasts rivaling gods. Even quasi-god Chen Xinjie and a tenth-grade soul device had failed!

"Why did the Northern Sea Army provoke them?!" shouted an inland provincial delegate, tone light with detachment. "If those beasts wish to create land, let them! When finished, we'll simply claim it—free territory and resources!"

"Idiot! Are your brains filled with dung?!" A coastal delegate slammed his fist on the table, eyes bloodshot. "Seawater doesn't vanish! New land means rising seas!"

"Every prosperous eastern coastal city, every port, every fertile field—drowned! The loss? Selling your entire family ten thousand times over won't cover it!"

The arguing spiraled. Finally, pushed by hawkish factions, a desperate resolution barely passed:

Deploy long-range strategic soul devices from continental bases. Continuously harass and slow the beasts' advance. Not to wound—but to buy time for the Federation to "find a solution."

Yet everyone knew this was poison quenching thirst. That ever-growing land loomed like a Damocles' sword over every coastal being on Douluo Planet.
