The moment Jiraiya finished speaking, he sprang into action himself. In a flash, he appeared behind an Iwa chunin before the latter could react and snapped his neck.
He was still exhausted from his earlier fight with Hanzo, but against chunin-level opponents, they might as well have been easy prey—he showed no mercy at all.
"Kill them!"
As soon as Jiraiya struck the first blow, the entire Konoha force erupted into a deadly frenzy. The cries of battle echoed across the battlefield when suddenly the rain poured down even harder, drenching every ninja like waterfalls crashing down.
Konoha and Iwa forces threw themselves into a bloodbath.
Tsuchigawa's expression darkened. He knew escape was impossible; even if he wanted to run, there would be no chance left.
His eyes snapped to the closest Konoha ninja, just a few meters away.
Hiss!
At that moment, lightning flared in his vision again, and a chakra blade wielded by Sakumo Hatake blocked his path.
"Our fight isn't over yet!" Sakumo coldly declared, bringing his sword down in a single slash.
Tsuchigawa had lost an arm—he couldn't form hand seals anymore, let alone use ninjutsu to defend himself.
All he could do was dodge using taijutsu, but compared to Sakumo, he was clearly outmatched.
A deep gash tore open across Tsuchigawa's chest, blood pouring out uncontrollably.
Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru didn't interfere in this fight—they weren't in perfect condition after their own battles.
Even so, regular jonin didn't last more than a few moves against them.
They deliberately targeted only the strongest enemy jonin, while Konoha ninja coordinated attacks alongside them.
How could these Iwa jonin possibly match up against real Konoha jonin?
Minato, who had previously defeated three high-ranking enemy jonin in earlier fights, specifically chose weaker Iwa targets.
Though small in stature and holding only a specially crafted kunai, he moved like a ghostly god of death.
As a flash of golden light filled their eyes, the life slowly faded from his enemies' gazes.

Even Yan Uchiha and Nawaki were shocked to realize that Minato surpassed both of them on the battlefield.
"Damn it!"
Yan Uchiha gritted his teeth as his opponent pressed hard against him.
His eyes darkened momentarily before he shut them tightly then reopened—his jet-black irises transforming into crimson red.
Die already!
Activating the Sharingan once more, Yan instantly saw through his opponent's defense gaps. He dropped low and slashed his enemy's right wrist.
"Agh!"
The ninja cried out in pain, but before he could scream again, a longsword sliced cleanly through his throat.
[Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!]
Meanwhile, Nawaki called out under pressure from simultaneous attacks. Two walls of earth rose abruptly within a meter around him, blocking his attackers.
[Earth Release: Earth and Stone Dragon!]
He had formed hand seals, and the ground beneath his feet cracked open. A hideous dragon head surged upward and instantly spat out several Earth Dragon Bullets.
"Boom!"
The first projectile struck a Mud Wall, instantly causing it to collapse. Falling debris interrupted the Iwa ninja behind it who had been forming hand seals.
The subsequent projectiles directly struck him, their heavy impact shattering bones and organs into nothingness.
But behind another mud wall, the Iwa ninja completed his hand seals.

However, before he could release his technique, a flash of golden light shot across his vision—and just before losing consciousness, he saw a scrawny boy standing with his back to him.
Raindrops soaked Minato's hair, plastering it against his forehead protector, slightly reflecting in his deep blue eyes.
"That brat..."
Tsunade was concerned about Nawaki's safety, so she had been watching closely from afar. When she saw Minato strike decisively, felling an enemy ninja in an instant, even her beautiful eyes widened slightly.
Minato's techniques might not have impressed her much, yet from this child, she felt for a fleeting moment a powerful, suffocating pressure.
"Thanks, Minato," Nawaki called out, emotion flickering in his eyes.
At this point, Minato didn't respond as usual; instead, he dashed forward again and joined another fight involving other Konoha ninjas.
About ten seconds later, another Iwa ninja cried out in pain before falling lifelessly in defeat.
The slender figure darted back and forth across the battlefield.

Blades flashed down—one more arm of Tsuchigawa was severed by Sakumo, and overwhelmed by intense pain, he dropped to his knees before Sakumo, his life force rapidly fading.
Sakumo's eyes showed no mercy whatsoever. He swung his blade one final time, beheading Tsuchigawa and ending his torment.
When some Iwa ninjas witnessed this scene, their eyes nearly popped out in fury—but most only displayed sheer terror.
"Tsuchigawa is dead!"
Someone shouted, and upon seeing the now-headless body of Tsuchigawa, many Iwa ninjas couldn't help but feel chilled to the bone.
Guhaha...
Jiraiya, standing close enough to witness all this, wore a faint smile on his face. But soon after, weakness and pain suddenly surged through his body.
He had been poisoned multiple times. Though Tsunade's medicine helped counteract the effects, right now, he was clearly deteriorating.
Right at that moment, the Jonin-level Iwa ninja whom Jiraiya had already subdued and was about to die suddenly blinked in shock, then twisted his face into a cruel grin.
With a quick motion, he hurled his kunai straight at Jiraiya.
"Boom!"
Just then, however, a fist crashed into the kunai like swatting away a fragile bubble, instantly crushing it completely—and along with it, the Iwa Jonin's wrist shattered painfully.
That same heavy-fisted punch smashed straight into his chest, undoubtedly obliterating his heart beyond recognition.
After eliminating the threat, Tsunade quickly rushed over to support Jiraiya.
She naturally understood how deeply poisoned he already was and could estimate roughly how much time remained.
Tsunade scanned the battlefield. With Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya joining the fight, the battle had clearly tilted in Konoha's favor.
After Sakumo Hatake slayed Tsuchigawa, he too entered the battle.
"Orochimaru, enough! Come quickly, I'll remove the poison from both of you," Tsunade called out. They were still poisoned from earlier, but she held off on healing until things stabilized. Now that Sakumo was free, it was no longer necessary.
Orochimaru used [Hidden Shadow Snake Hands] to kill an enemy and then swiftly moved to Tsunade's side.
Together, they supported Jiraiya and carried him away from the battlefield.
"Teacher Jiraiya..."
As they left the battlefield, Minato murmured softly, confident that Tsunade could handle his teacher's injuries.
With Sakumo in the fight, Konoha's forces now became unstoppable.
Whoosh!
The combat zone between Kai Uchiha and a powerful warrior from the Nagare clan burst into towering flames as a figure was engulfed in intense fire.
Kai Uchiha smiled lightly, yet the shape within the fire began shifting forms. What finally appeared in his Sharingan vision was surprisingly a giant bee nearly half a meter in length.
"A [Substitution Jutsu]?" He exclaimed in shock, unable to detect even this switch using his Sharingan.
Dozens of meters away, another figure erupted from underground and immediately fled without hesitation.
"Truly worthy of being a descendant of the First Tsuchikage... managing to deceive my Sharingan."
Kai muttered solemnly, though he had no intention of continuing pursuit.
Insect Controllers wielded uniquely strange techniques; if someone were determined to run, stopping them proved difficult.
Then, he turned around and rejoined the battle.
