Chapter 176 - Chapter 176: The Boy on the Battlefield

On the battlefield, three forces clashed fiercely. Ninja from three nations fought furiously, and beneath their feet lay fallen comrades who had just lost their lives. Yet there was no time to mourn.

Their only thought was to defeat the enemies right before them!

At the very center of the battlefield, Minato's small and thin figure seemed mismatched against the scale of this large-scale battle. Except for him, Nawaki, and Yan Uchiha, all other ninja present were at least sixteen or seventeen years old.

But now, no one dared underestimate this ten-year-old boy with golden-blond hair—not even slightly.

Blood dripped from his specially crafted kunai—blood taken from those he had defeated in battle.

One Iwagakure Jonin, one Rain Country Jonin, and three Chunin had already fallen by his hand.

Right now, he seemed like a grim reaper, instantly claiming enemy lives with a speed that drove opponents mad.

He didn't seem like any ordinary ten-year-old child at all—his decisiveness in combat and sharp tactical mind surpassed even seasoned Jonin. No enemy who faced him ever managed to complete even a single ninjutsu technique.

And in the brief moment enemies thought their techniques had succeeded, they permanently lost their lives.

No one could know that inside this tiny body resided the soul of a man once feared by the Kages themselves across all great ninja nations.

That man was Minato Namikaze—the one who alone led Konoha to victory when it was surrounded by the Four Great Elemental Nations.

Though his current strength and abilities were far inferior to what they once were, the aura built through relentless warfare remained unchanged.

"Minato..."

In the middle of the fighting, Junko Watanabe hesitated for an instant. Even after carrying out the Hot Springs Country Mission with Minato, she had never seen him like this.

Moreover, compared to more than a year ago, his power level had increased beyond recognition.

After all, even she herself had only managed to kill one enemy Jonin amidst this chaotic battlefield...

Could it be that he's actually stronger than her now?

Yet Junko didn't realize that given Minato's past level of expertise, these Jonin-level techniques were easily predictable and assessable to him. By subtly manipulating the situation, he achieved such extraordinary results.

Without exaggeration, even Hatake Sakumo and Tsuchigawa—two mighty warriors currently engaged in fierce combat—were nowhere near as powerful as he once was.

Not only Junko, but also Nawaki, who had never seen real battlefield carnage, caught sight of Minato's appearance amid the chaos—and was utterly shocked.

Precisely because of this, his earlier fear of war quickly faded, as Konoha ninja intentionally shielded him from danger. Powerful enemy ninja were kept well outside Nawaki's immediate vicinity.

Unaware of this was Nawaki himself—but Tsunade still couldn't shake her concern for his safety.

With Nawaki's current strength, aside from Jonin-level ninja he couldn't face, all other opponents were beatable and posed no threat to his life.

His highly proficient Earth Release and Water Release techniques had become nightmares for his enemies.

Had he not held back, the Waterfall Jutsu he used during sparring with Minato could have threatened even Jonin-level opponents.

The last of those three boys—Yan Uchiha—was also making his way toward the central battlefield.

With his newly awakened Sharingan, he could see through most enemy moves.

This was the power of the Sharingan—it accelerated one's growth.

"Brat from the Uchiha clan! Don't get too cocky!"

Yan Uchiha's aggressive advance enraged some enemy ninja, and one Jonin took the opportunity to sneak up on him. The attacker moved swiftly—an enemy Jonin.

If this had been the old Yan Uchiha, he wouldn't have stood a chance against such a Jonin's moves at all.

However, since awakening his Sharingan, he could barely track the general motions and launch counterattacks.

Still, he underestimated the strength of a Jonin. In the instant they clashed, he nearly got injured and was subsequently suppressed, struggling hard to keep up.

Despite this, Yan Uchiha showed no fear of death. Even that young face gradually displayed a smile.

"I see it!"

Yan Uchiha finally clearly caught sight of his opponent's horizontal strike. He barely blocked it using half his body's strength, then immediately exploited his smaller build by attacking from under the enemy's guard!

Yet when his kunai approached within two inches of the Jonin's abdomen, the opponent reacted, rotating the blade in his hand and slashing downward horizontally.

Yan, possessing the Sharingan, foresaw this motion and was forced to abandon the attack, rolling away to evade.

"Damn it! If only I had a longer blade, I could've pierced him just now!"

Yan cursed inwardly. His kunai had proven disadvantageous compared to the enemy's katana.

The Jonin was equally alarmed; during the fight, Yan's movements had grown increasingly nimble.

Just now, he almost fell victim.

The boy glanced sideways, spotting a longsword wedged between boulders.

Not far away was the fallen body of a Konoha Jonin.

Yan's eyes flickered while still cautiously watching the enemy Jonin.

Fshhh!

Suddenly, his gaze sharpened, and dozens of shuriken and kunai flew forth like rain, hurtling toward the enemy ninja!

Swish!

At the same time, Yan activated [Shifting Body Technique], dramatically increasing his speed.

Nonetheless, he remained wary of the Jonin's actions, knowing the time bought by these thrown weapons was extremely limited.

As he neared the sword, the enemy Jonin, having scattered the projectiles, swiftly advanced.

The latter's speed surpassed Yan's.

Yan calculated that as soon as he grabbed the sword, the enemy would reach him.

But he possessed the Sharingan—he could block that incoming blow.

"Bang!"

Yet just as he had everything planned out, his pupils suddenly dilated. Just then, the powerful perception granted by his Sharingan vanished without warning.

At the same time, a wave of weakness surged through his body.

Before Yan Uchiha could even reach for his longsword, the enemy-nin Jonin was already upon him!

Without his Sharingan, he couldn't move at all.

At this critical moment, a boy around fourteen or fifteen years old appeared in front of Yan Uchiha. As the Jonin's strike came down, the boy made no move to resist or dodge.

His eyes were also blood-red, with two black Tomoe slowly rotating within.

The boy and the enemy-nin Jonin locked eyes. In an instant, the latter's movement completely froze...
