"The Sacred Demon Palace is a faction within the Tianluo Continent, but it's not located in the Northern Region—it's in the Southern Domain. That area is even more chaotic than the north. The Sacred Demon Palace is one of the dominant powers there. Compared to the Netherworld Palace and the Xuantian Hall, it's in a completely different league. If they ever clashed, even all the Northern Region's forces combined wouldn't be able to match the Sacred Demon Palace." Her tone turned serious as she spoke.
"Oh?" Xiao Yan's eyes lit up slightly. During his previous travels through the north in search of rare flames, he had investigated the various factions like Netherworld Palace. Each had Earth Sovereigns guarding their strongholds. If this Sacred Demon Palace was truly that powerful, then it was worth paying attention to. "And what does all this have to do with a flame?"
"Don't be impatient, I was getting to that. The leader of the Sacred Demon Palace, known as the Sacred Demon Emperor, Lu Heng, possesses a flame called the Sacred Flood Flame. "You have a grudge against this Sacred Demon Emperor?" Xiao Yan narrowed his eyes. Her tone and suggestion made it obvious she had a vendetta. Otherwise, she wouldn't be so eager to get him to clash with the Sacred Demon Palace.
"There's indeed bad blood between us." The girl didn't hide it and answered plainly, which actually surprised Xiao Yan. He had expected her to deny it, but instead, she went on, "You want his flame. I want revenge. We both get what we want."
"What kind of strength does the Sacred Demon Palace have?" Xiao Yan asked seriously. Although he had gathered some information about the Tianluo Continent, most of it pertained to the Northern Region. The Southern Domain wasn't in his research scope, and if the girl hadn't mentioned it, he wouldn't even know this force existed.
"According to what I've found, aside from Lu Heng himself, the Sacred Demon Palace also has four other Lower Earth Sovereigns. Lu Heng himself is at the peak of the Lower Earth Sovereign level, and with his unique methods, he may even be able to contend against an Upper Earth Sovereign." The girl's voice grew solemn.

"If you're not lying, then I can help you take care of Lu Heng. But..." Xiao Yan paused thoughtfully, then furrowed his brows in a show of hesitation. "I have one condition. After we've dealt with Lu Heng, you'll act as my bodyguard for one year."
