"Exactly!" Master Guangguang chimed in, "We have money! It's just a registration fee, what's all the fuss about?"
"Here." Master Guangguang pulled out a Yellow-grade refining material from his sleeve, tossing it onto the table with a "thump." He then waved his little hand in an incredibly generous manner. "Take it."
Everyone exchanged glances, their expressions somewhat bewildered.
The brawny man, however, looked rather embarrassed. He wanted to reach for the material on the table, saying, "I really don't have the materials you need. Never mind, I won't register this year..."
Unexpectedly, the hoarse-voiced person at the registration point was incredibly quick. He had already scooped the material into a bag by his hand, tossed out a bamboo token, and yelled, "Next!"
The brawny man looked down at the competition token on the table, his face dazed. "Hey, you! I said I wasn't registering!"
The hoarse voice bellowed, "What are you prattling about? The registration fee's paid, the name's signed, now hurry up and move on. Don't waste everyone's time!"
The brawny man was furious.
"Uncle, let's go. What's there to argue about with him!" The person at this registration point was clearly just trying to extort money!
Mo Baobao patted Zhang Feng, signaling him to hold onto the competition token and lead them out of the crowd.
Zhang Feng looked very apologetic. He scratched his head and said, "I'll try my best to get into the top two hundred. Once I'm in the Sacred Palace, I'll find some good refining materials and return them to you then."
He was such a big man, yet his registration fee was paid by two children. He truly felt ashamed. If the children's adults found out, would they blame him for exploiting two naive kids? Zhang Feng grew worried as he thought about this.
Mo Baobao looked at him with great confusion. "Uncle, you've registered, and the fee's paid, why do you still look so worried?"
Zhang Feng gave a bitter laugh. "You two children, you decided on your own to pay my registration fee. If your adults find out, they might come looking for me to settle accounts, saying I tricked you."
Master Guangguang couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Uncle, you're overthinking it. Poker-face Mama wouldn't make a big fuss with you over a small Yellow-grade material."
"Yeah, yeah." Mo Baobao nodded vigorously. "Little Cauldron eats one less bite, and there's a pile of materials left over."
Zhang Feng didn't understand, so he didn't say anything more.
Seeing his sudden low spirits, Mo Baobao raised a hand and patted his balding head. "How about this, Uncle? Tomorrow, when we come to watch the competition, you help us get to the front. That would be a huge help to us."
Zhang Feng chuckled. "You two little ones, you ran away secretly, didn't you? If you come out to watch the competition every day, won't your family worry?"
"Worry about what? We're on an incognito... cough, we didn't run away secretly. Mama and Papa told us to come out and get some experience ourselves."
Zhang Feng thought to himself, these parents must be quite eccentric! He then nodded and said, "Then you must tell your family before you come out. And if your parents don't let you out, then don't come out. After all, you're still too young."
"Don't worry, Uncle," Master Guangguang said, flexing his small arm. "Little Dumpling and I are actually very strong!"
"Bring ten or eight of them, they won't be able to beat us!"
