Chapter 132 - Dark voyage chapter 132

NAMAE ISAMU

The mirror in front of me seemed almost alive, glowing faintly as if it recognized my hesitation. I stepped closer, my reflection trembling slightly like a leaf in the wind.

"You're afraid of your own power," I whispered.

The reflection tilted its head, the eyes soft, almost maternal. It extended a hand toward me, and I felt a strange pull—like it was reaching not just to touch, but to guide.

"I am afraid of hurting people," I admitted. "I don't know if I can control it."

The reflection's lips curved into a faint smile. Then it raised its hand, and black and white sparks danced along its fingers, showing me visions of elemental control, of fire, wind, water, and earth bending at my will. The power was mine, yes, but only if I trusted myself.

"You are not defined by fear," it said in thought. "You are defined by choice. You can use this power, and you will learn to master it."

I reached out and pressed my palm against the mirror. The sensation was electric, warm, and grounding all at once. The reflection's hand met mine, and I felt an acceptance wash over me, a deep understanding that the fear I carried was just a part of me—not the whole.

I exhaled, stepping back. "I am Namae. I will control my power. I accept myself."

SAI SHINU

I stood there, staring at the mirror, feeling its surface shift unnaturally. The hair in the reflection turned pale blonde, but the eyes remained jet black, staring directly into mine. A chill ran down my spine.

The mirror spoke first, its voice calm yet penetrating: "Who do you think you are?"

I squared my shoulders and met its gaze. "I am Sai Shinu, to myself. But I am also a son, a father, a brother…" My voice faltered slightly, but I pressed on. "I have done a lot of things that I am not proud of. Regretting them would be a waste of my life. The only way to move forward is by accepting them—because my actions define who I am. I accept who I am."

The mirror's black eyes seemed to pierce through me. "And who are you, Sai?"

I straightened, a hint of resolve sharpening my voice. "I am the slayer."

A thin smile appeared on the mirror's lips. "Do you know why we are made of glass?"

"Because you are creating a reflection of something real?" I asked cautiously.

"You are right," the mirror said. Its smile deepened. "Yet you are also wrong. We reflect something real, yes, but does that not make the reflection fake? Two identical beings cannot exist in the same world."

Without warning, the mirror stepped forward, closing the space between us. Its index finger pressed lightly against my forehead. A sudden wave of visions struck me—memories, possibilities, a glimpse of a future I had not yet lived. And then I saw it.

My chest tightened. My mind screamed, and my stomach churned. There I was—my own hands raised, and Yuri falling before me, her eyes wide with shock and pain. I saw myself committing the unthinkable, and the weight of it pressed down on me, suffocating, unrelenting.

I staggered back, heart hammering, but my mind raced. Was this inevitable? Could I change it? Could I avoid the path that led to this vision? Or was this a warning, a lesson, a glimpse of what might be if I faltered?

The mirror's voice cut through my spiraling thoughts. "This is the future that may come. It is yours to face, and yours to change."

I swallowed hard, my hands clenching into fists. "I… I will not let it happen," I whispered, more to myself than the mirror. "Whatever it takes, I will protect her. No matter the cost."

The reflection in the glass no longer smiled. It simply stood, watching me, waiting to see if I truly understood what it meant to be Sai Shinu—the slayer, the son, the man who carries the weight of all his choices.

Everything went black. It was not emptiness, not silence—something heavier pressed against my mind, like the world itself had folded in on me. I could feel the others around me, their presence faint but undeniable, tethered to the same darkness.
