Chapter 61 - Ignoring And Indifference.

Brentley sat in Logan's car, puzzled. Logan had found all the information on people named Kirk, so why couldn't he find the person Brentley saw yesterday?

"Young Master Carter, are you sure that person's real name is Kirk?" Logan asked softly, noticing Brentley's troubled expression.

"Well..." Brentley hesitated, a hint of frustration flashing in his eyes. He couldn't be certain that the person who had stolen his account was actually named Kirk. After all, he had never seen the person's ID.

"Young Master Carter, the information I have is from the registry office. It means all these people named Kirk registered with that name. But if the person doesn't actually go by Kirk, or if it's just a nickname, there's no way I can find their details," Logan explained gently.

"That's a bit of a problem," Brentley sighed softly.

"Do you have any other information about this person? Like a photo or a phone number?" Logan asked. "No..." Brentley shook his head lightly.

"Then this is indeed tricky," Logan admitted, unsure how to locate the person Brentley was looking for.

"Here's what we'll do. I'll go back and try to gather more information on this person. Once I have something, I'll let you know," Brentley said, realizing that finding Kirk based on just a name was impossible. He decided to wait for Kirk to show up at Phoebe's house again, so he could secretly take a photo and give it to Logan.

"Well, I guess this is the only way now," Logan nodded slightly.

"Alright, you handle the Jaxson Jordan situation," Brentley said as he pushed open the car door and stepped out.

Once Brentley was out of sight, Logan pulled out his phone and dialed Simeon's number.

"Ring... ring..."

After a couple of rings, Simeon answered, his tone extremely respectful. "Brother Logan, what can I do for you?"

"Where's your brother, Jaxson? Put him on the phone," Logan's voice turned icy, as if he had become a different person.

Simeon noticed the change in Logan's tone and felt a surge of panic. He quickly handed the phone to Jaxson, who was standing next to him.

"Brother Logan...? What... what do you need?" Jaxson stammered as he answered the phone.

"Did you mess with a streamer named Phoebe?" Logan asked coldly.

"Phoebe?" Jaxson froze at the mention of the name.

"You have three hours to apologize to her and never bother her again. Do you understand me? If you don't, you'll face the consequences," Logan said directly, sensing from Jaxson's reaction, he indeed knew Phoebe.

"Okay... okay, I understand!" he replied hastily.

Jaxson stammered, "Brother Logan, do you know this Phoebe?"

"Click!"

Logan didn't waste any words with Jaxson and hung up the phone directly before driving away.

Jaxson was left bewildered, staring at his phone. He had previously investigated Phoebe's background and found that she didn't know anyone in Sunshire City. That's why he had dared to mess with her. But now, he couldn't understand how Phoebe could know someone as influential as Logan.

Meanwhile, Brentley, after parting ways with Logan, headed straight home.

Even though he had found Sunshire City's Young Master Jordan and helped Phoebe solve a big problem, he still hadn't uncovered Kirk's true identity. This left Brentley feeling uneasy.

"Ring, ring!"

Just as Brentley was about to reach home, his phone rang again.

Thinking it might be Logan with some news, Brentley quickly answered without hesitation.

"Hello, Master Carter!"

But the voice on the other end wasn't Logan's. Instead, it was a sexy and alluring female voice.

Brentley immediately recognized it as Caroline, the saleswoman from the real estate office who had looked down on him before. Caroline was a stunning woman with a sexy figure and a slightly older, mature charm. Her voice carried a unique allure that was unmistakable.

"How did you get my number?" Brentley asked softly, momentarily taken aback. "I got your number from Vienna!" Caroline replied with a bright smile.

"Oh, I see. What can I do for you?" Brentley remembered giving his number to Vienna, so it wasn't surprising that Caroline had it.

"Well, Mr. Carter, I mentioned a few days ago that our company has a new housing development. There's a villa with an excellent layout and location. The price might be a bit high, but it shouldn't be an issue for you. Do you have time this afternoon? How about I take you to see the house?" Caroline quickly explained.

Brentley hesitated for a moment. Although he had no plans for the afternoon, he was pre-occupied with concerns about Phoebe and wasn't in the mood to look at houses.

"Mr. Carter, this villa is in high demand. If you don't act quickly, someone else might snatch it up!" Caroline noticed his hesitation and pressed on.

"Alright, I don't have anything else to do. I'll go with you to check it out," Brentley agreed.

"That's wonderful! Where are you now, Mr. Carter? I'll come pick you up!" Caroline said excitedly.

"I'm at Red Star Community," Brentley replied without much thought.

"Great, I'll be there soon!" Caroline hung up after confirming.

Brentley put his phone back in his pocket and stood at the community entrance, waiting for Caroline. Just as he put his phone away, he noticed a familiar figure walking towards him.

Phoebe, dressed in a white lounge wear set that gave her a charming, homely look, appeared beautiful as always. She was carrying several bags, likely from a recent trip to the supermarket.

Maybe it was because she had bought too many things, but Phoebe looked like she was struggling a bit.

Brentley hesitated for a moment before stepping forward with a cheerful smile and saying, "Let me help you carry those!"

However, upon hearing Brentley's offer, Phoebe turned her head and shot him a fierce glare. Without saying a word, she walked straight into the apartment complex, as if she had no intention of acknowledging him.

Brentley stood there, feeling a bit awkward and somewhat hurt. After all, he had always been helping Phoebe, but what he got in return was her indifference and coldness. Anyone would feel bad in his shoes.

Just as Phoebe stepped into the complex, the roar of an engine echoed down the street.

A black Passat pulled up arrogantly at the entrance, and Jaxson hurriedly jumped out of the car, looking flustered.

When Brentley saw Jaxson, he froze instinctively. He never expected Logan to act so quickly.

But if Jaxson saw him, he would definitely come over and talk, which could blow his cover. After all, Phoebe had just walked into the complex.

For a moment, Brentley didn't know what to do!
