Chapter 57 - You're Courting death.

After class, none of the students in the room chose to leave immediately. Instead, they sat quietly, waiting for the drama to unfold.

Earlier, Hailey's arrival had interrupted Colby, Landon, and the others from questioning Brentley, but it was clear now that they had no intention of letting him off the hook.

What he had said before was indeed very harsh, especially for a girl like Farrah. Once he finished packing his things, he headed straight for the door. But Landon extended his arm, blocking the exit, and stared coldly at him, looking every bit like someone ready to deliver justice..

"Move!" Brentley glanced up at Landon, his face expressionless.

"Move?" Landon couldn't help but let out a cold laugh at Brentley's words. He then said in a low voice, "Brentley Carter, don't you think you owe us an explanation?"

"An explanation for what?" Brentley asked softly.

"For the nonsense you spouted earlier, slandering Farrah. Don't you think you owe everyone an explanation? If you just walk away now, her reputation will be tarnished. So you need to clear this up with everyone right now!" Landon demanded righteously.

Brentley looked at him and couldn't help but smile bitterly. He had to admit, Landon was indeed a loyal dog to Farrah. Even though Farrah herself hadn't reacted much to Brentley's earlier words, he, as an outsider, was getting all worked up.

"What I said to Farrah is between me and her. What does it have to do with you?" If it were him, he might have been afraid of Landon. After all, Brentley knew Landon's personality well and didn't want to escalate things, but the Brentley standing here now was no longer the same person; his attitude was far from the timid one he once had.

Brentley's words clearly left Landon stunned because, in truth, this matter had nothing to do with him.

Landon could sense that Brentley standing before him seemed like a completely different person. The old Brentley would never have dared to speak to him this way.

The students in the class seemed to notice this change too, all casting the same curious glances at him. "That's right, this is indeed a private matter between you and Farrah. But as Farrah's friends, we can't just stand by and watch her get bullied. So today, you either explain what you said before, or you kneel down and apologize to Farrah!" Colby, reacting faster than Landon, stepped forward and shouted at Brentley.

Brentley turned his head and gave Colby a calm look. He knew that Colby was the real instigator behind this whole situation, clearly using this opportunity to get back at him.

"Landon, Colby, Why are you blocking the way? The lesson is over, and you're not letting anyone leave?"

Just as Brentley was about to speak, the beautiful and poised Felicity walked up beside him, her expression spirited as she shouted at Landon.

Graham and Tyree, hearing Felicity's words, quickly stepped up to Landon as well, shouting, "Landon, Brentley and Farrah's issue has nothing to do with you. It's their private matter, so let them handle it. Why are you blocking the way?"

Seeing these three stand up for him, Brentley felt a wave of unexpected gratitude. No matter what, there were still three people in the class willing to support him.

Faced with Tyree, Graham, and Felicity, Landon didn't seem as arrogant as before. His eyes showed a hint of hesitation as he glanced over at Colby beside him.

Colby hesitated for a moment before turning directly to Felicity and saying, "Class rep, what you're saying isn't right. We're stopping Brentley Carter from leaving, but anyone else who wants to go can leave now."

"And why do you think you have the right to stop him?" Felicity shouted in response, her big, watery eyes glaring at him.

"We already said it. The things Brentley said caused Farrah a lot of harm. So today, he has to give everyone an explanation. Otherwise, how can Farrah stay in this class?" Colby replied calmly.

"You..."

"Class rep, you don't need to argue with them!" Felicity was about to speak when Brentley interrupted her. He then looked at Colby and asked, "You want an explanation from me, right?"

"Exactly. Either you prove what you said about Farrah is true, or you kneel down and apologize to her. Otherwise, there's no way you're leaving here today!" Colby responded directly.

In truth, Colby was deliberately making things difficult for Brentley. He knew that whether Brentley's claim about Farrah willingly going to bed with him was true or not, he couldn't provide any evidence. And without evidence, he would have to kneel and apologize to her.

Kneeling and apologizing to a girl in front of the entire class would be a massive humiliation for any guy. Colby wanted Brentley to understand that dealing with him was easier than squashing a bug.

Ophelia, sitting next to Farrah, looked on with disdain. She knew that Brentley had no choice but to kneel and apologize to Farrah. Colby and the others wouldn't let him leave otherwise, not even with Felicity speaking on his behalf.

"So, you want me to prove what I said earlier is true, right?" he asked softly, looking at Colby.

"Yes, as long as you can prove what you said is true, we'll let you go," Colby nodded lightly.

"Alright, then I'll prove it to you right now!"

He smirked disdainfully, then turned his head to look at Farrah. With a cold expression, he called out, "Farrah, tell everyone now, is what I said earlier true or not?"

The students froze for a moment upon hearing Brentley's words, then burst into laughter. Even Colby and Landon couldn't help but smile wryly, thinking Brentley was digging his own grave.

Farrah was the victim in this situation. Even if she had wanted to sleep with him back then, there was no way she would admit it in front of everyone now.

However, Farrah, who had been waiting for his apology, trembled slightly upon hearing his question. A look of despair flashed in her beautiful eyes, and she had no idea how to respond to Brentley's question.
