Moyu's reputation soared through Konoha like rising Reiatsu after a great battle. His name spread from district to district, his growing fame no longer carrying the faint disdain reserved for outsiders. Perhaps it was because Moyu had no hidden village of origin he was a wanderer, a cultivator of his own path. No one could label him an enemy or trace him back to any known faction, and that mystery made the people's respect turn into quiet awe.
Had he been from a rival village, suspicion would have followed him everywhere. But fate had spared him such entanglement. Warm-hearted by nature, Moyu's daily life was marked by quiet acts of help repairing a neighbor's fence, carrying supplies for the elderly. Gradually, the villagers saw him not as a stranger, but as one of their own.
When the day's duties ended, Moyu returned home to see two small figures hunched over bowls of rice Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke, the two brats who ate as though the world would end before the next meal.
"Tomorrow, during training," he said, "you'll be meeting someone new. I expect you both to get along."
Neither boy looked up. They kept eating, shoveling rice with single-minded focus, not even pretending to listen. Only after they scraped the last grains clean did Naruto blink and ask what Moyu had just said.
Watching them, Moyu's temple twitched. He wanted to knock both their heads together, yet he only exhaled slowly. "Forget it. Just remember what I said. Tomorrow you'll meet a good friend. Get along. After dinner, you two wash the dishes. I'm going to rest."
He turned away, convincing himself that small chores would at least teach them a sense of discipline and responsibility. Tomorrow would be long there'd be no missions, only training.
When dawn broke, Hyuga Hiashi arrived at Moyu's house, leading a small girl beside him Hyūga Hinata. Unlike the proud patriarch from last night, Hiashi now wore the dignified calm of a clan leader before outsiders. Moyu watched him silently. The man could act when he needed to. A leader who couldn't wear masks would never survive politics.
Moyu greeted them briefly and motioned toward the courtyard. "I'll take care of her training today. You can return once we're done."
Hiashi nodded wordlessly and left. Moyu then called his three students together Naruto, Sasuke, and Hinata and led them to the open space behind his home.
"From today, you'll train under me. I'll test your strength, your potential, and the gaps that must be filled. I'll show you exactly where your weaknesses lie," Moyu said, his gaze sharp, tone calm yet unyielding. "And if you're ready to endure what comes next, I'll teach you techniques so advanced that even the children of Konoha's Hokage have never learned them."
