In the garage, Roland settled into the black limousine and once again saw the driver, a woman with long, icy-blue hair.
To be honest, he couldn't shake the feeling that her hair resembled Kawasaki Sakura's too closely, making him suspect she might be Sakura's mother.
If that's true, what a coincidence! he thought. Wouldn't that mean I did something incredibly embarrassing in front of my classmate's mother?
And if she tells her daughter, how will I ever face Sakura again?
But after a moment's reflection, he reasoned she probably wouldn't tell anyone. After all, such matters were best kept private. Besides, it wasn't even certain she was Sakura's mother.
Roland decided to break the ice. "Mrs. Kawasaki, long time no see."
Mrs. Kawasaki hadn't expected Roland to greet her first. Since she had ulterior motives toward him, she responded warmly, "Young Master Roland, it's been too long."
