His heartbeat was rising like a war drum. It pounded in his ears, drowning out any thought.
He'd watched scenes like that in videos, glimpsed them in blurry photos on his phone, but nothing compared to seeing it up close... close enough to touch, close enough to taste the terror and thrill.
