Chapter 51 - Traveling into the deeper parts of the Forest. (Part 2.)

We walked slowly through the forest, as I didn't want to rush into something that I had no understanding of. This would be my first Legendary Rank, as I didn't know where I matched up to her and didn't want to risk biting off more than I could handle. From what Orla said, all the monsters stayed about 250 miles away from her and her army, as they would only attack if you entered her area, so they let her be. We were nearing the limit when I got word from the microraptors telling me that skeletons and other dead things were wandering around the area about 50 miles ahead.

The forest became quiet as we got closer. Animals became rarer, until not even bugs made sounds. We stopped outside a fog that hugged the ground, and I turned to her, giving her the tent and two raptors. "You wait here, as long as you don't enter the area, you should be fine if they do come out, mount the raptor, and run. These things are faster than any undead could be." I said, making Orla nod. I had hoped she knew what the Undead looked like, but she said it had been a long time since her kind had seen it.

I summoned all my dinosaurs I even matured the newer ones in hope to level them up as we started to enter the fog it had become chilling cold as I heard groins and noticed zombies as I ordered the wind raptors to aim for their head if they attacked as we got closer the zombies looked at us and started to charge only to have their head taken off and their bodies fell still once more. The zombies were 'a lot' as we began to move deeper. More Undead started to amass, including skeletons and Boneless, which are unique monsters to the Domains of Dread that arise from one or more corpses lacking a skeleton. Meaning they had to have had their skeletons removed before they completely died, John talked to me a lot about the Undead, as they can be some of the hardest to deal with, other than demons.

"This could be problematic, I count close to a hundred Epic rank Undead just in this area. How long has this Undead been alive? She can control Heucuva and Hoarder dragons, plus a dozen different Epic rank Undeads." I said, Heucuva are undead that formed from druids, priests, monks, or paladins that forsook their vows, and the Hoarder dragons are Undead formed from dragons so greedy, they would not leave their hoards even in death.

"Well, I guess I will target the Zombie Lord's first while my dinosaurs take care of the other Epic Undead," I said, locking onto the ten Zombie Lords as my target. They aren't stronger than the fire dragons, but their numbers can be a problem, as they make the zombies stronger, and they could even repair the damage to some extent, as long as the head isn't damaged too much. "Let's get to work, this part of the army isn't going to kill itself," I said letting my Dino's charge as I aimed at the first Zombie Lord, their weakness is Light, Fire, and Lightning magic, so I made sure to coat my arrows in fire and lightning as I still haven't thought of a good Dino for the light elemental magic.

Hitting the first one in the head, making his body burst into fire and lightning as he fell to the ground, getting all the Undead's attention as they started to charge us, the lower level Undead couldn't stop my dinosaurs and the Epic ranks began to struggle with them as I made sure at least one weakness dino was attacking them. Focusing on the Zombie Lords taking care of them without much trouble as my speed was more then enough to deal with them as I fouced on thinning out the lower Undead so my Dino's could handle the Epic monsters only to feel a cold chill run down my back as I noticed a plated Knight walking out of the fog and I smirked this thing was close to me in power that was what my mind was screaming to me.

"Why do you attack my Queen's domain?" A voice chillingly worded out from within its helmet, meaning this monster had to be Legendary, as Epic monsters can't speak the human tongue; only higher ranks could. Shit, that means there is more than one here. "I seek to ask as your Queen, if she had stolen my family members' bodies or if she could help me find who did. As you're zombies attacked me first, I deemed it right to go on the attack and not risk being killed before asking your Queen." I said, making him pull out his sword.

I put my bow away and pulled the spear out as he started to charge me, making me push Eve to run. He had to be some type of death knight or Lich King. As I parried his sword slash, the ground below Eve and the Horse he was on splintered below us. "Human child, you are strong. I am impressed that someone your age would be stronger than when I was alive; times do change. But my Queen desires her piece, and I won't let you disturb her for something as stupid as grave robbery." He said, making the blood pump louder in my ears as my eyes turned into those of a dinosaur, and I pushed him off, making the horse step back before he regained control.

We started to fight throughout the battlefield, sending undead flying or ripping them apart as our strikes clashed with one another. Rock and dirt flew everywhere as this fight went on, both of us trying to find a flaw or a mistake as his sword started to become coated in ice I matched it with fire making the sight of fire and ice dancing throughout the foggy battlefield look like a poetic dance until Eve landed a lighting blast on the undead horses leg cutting it off sending the being flying as it hit the ground rolling. I jumped high into the air, wrapping fire and lightning elemental magic around my spear tip, and he summoned a bone wall the moment he slid back onto his feet, making the area explode.

"Child, it looks like we are evenly matched. It would be best if you turned around and left with your beasts. To not die so young and be reborn in my Queen's army." He said, laughing, making me smirk. "Who knows, maybe I want to tame your Queen and add her to my army," I said at his words, making it colder. "How dare you disrespect my Queen?! I will have your head!" He roared as he charged me as we began anew, neither one of us wanting to yield or fall out of pride and honor. I do have to say, other than the General of the first army I attacked, this monster has shown me what I am lacking, and that's skill. I have the power. Still, when it comes to skill, this Undead is better.

I lost focus for a split second as he brought a strong swing towards my side, making me quickly block, but I ended up being sent flying as I bounced off the ground for a good couple of hundred feet before getting my footing again. As I tried to look for him, I noticed over a thousand ice spears flying in the air. "OH, SHIT!" I screamed out, coating my body in wind and lightning as I pushed off the ground, dodging the spears as they began to rain down. As they hit the ground, ice spikes broke out of the ground. Over two square miles turned into an icy hellhole by the time the last spear hit the ground. I was sweating heavily, but I could feel his magic had significantly weakened from that.

Putting more elemental magic into my spear, I kept my wind and lightning cloaking me. I pushed off the ground, reaching in front of him as he moved his sword to meet my attack. The ground began to ripple like water before sinking from the impact. Still, I didn't slow down I parried his counter attack sending the bottom part of my spear into his foot smashing it as he screamed out while as sent a right hook to his head sending him flying as he slid on the ground I kept on him as he pushed off the ground getting to his feet as he was squatting swinging his sword diagonally as I jumped making the sword miss my legs. He used his momentum to send a kick, which I blocked with my spear. However, since I was off the ground, the force sent me flying backwards. As my feet touched the ground, I slid on the ice.

"Fuck, this is going to be a long fight," I grunted.
