Chapter 47 - The slaughter witnessed by all.

We returned to our forces as I pulled my spear out, and the two men pulled their swords out before sighing. I roared out, making my dinosaurs roar out in response, as the sound of clanking armor could be heard from the other side, and I pushed off the ground, running towards the enemy, as my dinosaurs followed behind me. As we charged, the enemy gave a loud roar. If they are going to die, then they will die fighting, making me smile. At least they have the pride to die like men. Getting closer to the two men as they sent out sword waves, I matched them with two Wind Blades, making the ground crack and explode under the power once they hit each other.

They swung their swords as I blocked them with the spear, making the ground crack. They both were better than I thought they would be. Still, they weren't as strong as me as I lunched them back as I sent out a gust of wind magic throwing them back ten meters before I rushed Quin cloaked in lightning making him bearly able to perry my thrust as the tip of my spear took a chunk of flesh out of his arm as he screamed out in pain. "QUIN!" Griffith yelled, rushing me as I ducked his slash, tripping him with the bottom of my spear before flipping it over, trying to impale him, making him roll out of the way as the lightning spear hit the ground, sending cracks throughout the ground as he kept rolling.

Screams echoed out, making us look over to see the giant Argentinosaurus's tail sending hundreds flying as it was coated in metal elemental magic, smashing knights and foot soldiers with one hit as their broken bodies flew through the air. As I looked back at the two men as they gulped and looked at me, I smiled. "It's a wonderful sight seeing the wicked die," I said as my eyes started to turn into those of a Utahraptor, making chills run down their spines. A roar sounded out, making me look over, noticing another army heading this way. That was most likely the Lablanc army, as I turned my head back to the two, and all hope of taking the city went away now.

"Well, it looks like this war you guys started was pointless now. Can't get the city you want, and now your Empire is at a crossroads of losing land. Because if you think, the LaBlanc Empire is just going to let y'all off without invading you, then you have to be stupid." I said, making them glare at me as we took our stance once more as the gate to the city opened and a horsemen ran out towards the LaBlanc army. "Looks like we should end this now, after all, you don't want to fall into their hands. You two lovers would much rather die next to each other than be executed on different days." I said, gripping the spear and letting three elemental types swirl around me: lightning, wind, and fire, making them hold up their swords as I pushed off the ground.

They made a joint magic barrier, making me raise an eyebrow, but the barrier started to crack and then shatter as I pushed between them, taking off one arm from each, along with part of their torso, making them cough up blood before falling to their knees, leaning on each other. "I can respect that you willingly fought to your death, maybe if y'all didn't invade my lands, I could have learned from you," I said before decapitating them as I looked at the battlefield, as the rest of the army slowly began to thin out until there were no more soldiers. I pulled up the system, noticing that I was at level 195. It's going to get harder to level up, I thought, sighing as I looked at my dinosaurs. The Stegos and Argents both got to 100.

I Mega evolved them, adding stronger Lightning and metal elemental magic, as both groups were dual elemental dinos. My body felt a surge of power as the muscles expanded and retracted before becoming normal again, as I put my dinos away and started to head back to the city. The gate opened, and I walked in. Everyone just stared at me, not saying a word, as I walked up the stairs towards Joan, who was still shocked, even though this wasn't her first time seeing me in action, as she smiled at me after a moment. "Welcome back, Jacob." She said before giving her stomach a light rub.

"WHO ARE YOU?!" A yell came out from the stairs as a fat man in armor as I turned around, looking at the man. He looked mad, making me tilt my head as I was wondering what I did to piss this man off. "I am Jacob, Leader of the Night Raptors," I said, looking at the man before the Duchess stepped forward. "Count Lex, mind the way you address the future son-in-law of my household." She said, making him glare at me. "He stole our ability to gain honor for our households. Do you not feel shame for being a greedy boy?" He said, making me understand just what kind of person he was. "Honor? What honor is there in sending our people to their deaths when I can take care of it myself?" I said, making him smirk.

"It's their honor to fight and die on the battlefield for their noble lords and the Emperor." He said, which made me laugh. "You dare laugh at me, child!" He yelled as his knights pulled their swords, and I pulled my spear out. "You send the people under you to die so you can gain fame in the royal court. You do not know what honor is; you only know what vanity is." I said as the knights moved to attack, only a loud voice echoed out. "Well said, child! Well said!" Making the Knights freeze along with the Count. I looked over to a six-and-a-half-foot-tall man with a massive build and slight gray hair walking up the stairs.

Everyone started to bow as I looked at the man once he stood in front of me, and he looked down, raising an eyebrow. "YOU ARE DISRESPECTFUL, CHILD! I WILL PUNISH YOU!" Yelled the fat noble as the man looked at him and spoke. "Shut up, you are annoying me, Count Lex." Making the fat man quiver as he bows. "I am sorry, Archduke Otho." He said with fear as he stepped back. "Jacob, leader of the Night Raptors. I bow to you out of respect for you saving both this city and Guel; the Empire would have lost two cities if it weren't for you. I request you join our fight as we invade the enemy, as your power would save many of our people." The Archduke said as he bowed, making me respect this guy a lot as I nodded. "If the pay is right, I will fight any battle as long as I can act alone or with my group. I don't want to be bogged down by nobles that can't see the big picture." I said, looking at the Count.

"I would like to stop by Guel first, as I need to check in on my people before heading out and taking care of some personal matters if that is okay with you, Archduke Otho," I said, bowing as he looked at me and smiled. "You have been fighting for a week now, and we haven't started the planning for our retaliation, so if you want to come back here in two weeks, I think we will be done by then." He said, I smiled and held out my hand as we shook on it before I turned to the Duchess. "I will head out to make my way back to Guel. I shall see you in two weeks," I said, bowing and heading out, making everyone shocked that I still had the energy to travel.

I left the city gates and mounted Eve, making haste towards Guel, only to turn south after a while, heading to the Dryad kingdom, as I made a promise to spend a few days with them before heading back to Guel. As I entered the forest, I jumped off Eve and sent her back to the island before walking to a tree, pulling out the necklace, and entering the portal. I noticed the Princesses spoiling Tiffany and her sister as the Queen and Tina drank some tea. The Queen noticed me and stood up. "I take it, the battle is over?" She said, making the three humans look at me with conflicted feelings as I spoke. "I killed them all, and the Lablanc Empire is planning to invade. I will have to head out in two weeks, so I will spend a few days here and then take them back to Guel so they can be safe," I said, smiling gently at Tina and Tiffany, making them sigh in relief.

"Well then, let's make use of all the time." The Queen said, letting her dress fall and I smirked.
