That was the first thought that crossed Hyung Ryo's mind—an old man who had spent his life in a constant struggle for survival, trapped between hunger and poverty. The night before, he had drowned himself in cheap beer and passed out… only to wake up in a place far removed from the world he knew.
He was floating . Weightless. Like a helium balloon drifting in a gray void—empty and endless. That void… was just like his life. Colorless, loveless, and friendless.
He muttered under his breath: I can't tell if this is a dream or not… but being here is oddly calming.
His half-lidded eyes remained still, his body unmoved, as if nothing around him mattered. He expected to wake up any minute, just like always, and return to his monotonous, endless routine of job-hunting.
