Chapter 194 - 194

The meeting proceeded quickly. After all, Makarov wasn't one to indulge in formalities.

He covered a few points, and the meeting was over.

Some of them were nothing new, just things like the arrangements for commissions from various guilds and the status of commission completion.

The only thing that slightly interested Caesar was that the Grand Magic Martial Arts Tournament would continue.

Although the initial purpose was to accumulate magic power in preparation for the Eclipse Gate, now that Caesar was involved, they wouldn't be doing that anymore.

However, since the matter of the Great Demon Director's martial arts performance had already been announced, it wouldn't be good to cancel it rashly.

Thus, the Grand Magic Tournament officially commenced. To ensure he had no other intentions, Thomas also made a special trip to the council to report.

Makarov felt good about it, so he took the opportunity of the meeting to talk about it and encourage everyone to sign up and participate.

It would officially begin on July 1st, just two months later.

Without the Eclipse Gates being such a hassle, Caesar felt he could participate with Fairy Tail.

The only pity was that now that he was in charge of the association, he couldn't get involved in the activities anymore.

Thinking about this, Caesar decided to forget about it.

With his current limitless magic power, if he were to actually engage in combat, probably no one could defeat him.

If you don't join, it's a little boring.

As he thought this, Caesar looked down at Betty, and his eyes lit up.

Since I'm confined for two months and can't run around anyway, I might as well slowly train Betty so she can go up and play in my place.

After all, the timing was perfect. The moment the ban was lifted, the Great Magician would be on his way to a martial arts tournament, without giving him any time to visit Acnologia.

Even Caesar's long-awaited Gate to the Underworld would have to be postponed.

"Caesar, come here for a second."

As the meeting ended, Caesar was about to slip away with Betty, but Makarov stopped him.

Left with no other choice, Caesar was led outside by Makarov.

"What's wrong with this child?"

Makarov frowned and asked.

"She is Acnologia's sister."

Caesar spoke frankly, which startled Makarov.

Seeing Makarov's reaction, Caesar immediately shifted the blame to the secrets of another world.

He made up a story where Acnologia's sister was sealed away, and then he went to break the seal and gained a little girl as a reward.

Just as Caesar had guessed, Makarov felt that Caesar's words were a bit far-fetched, but he was troubled by the lack of evidence.

So even if Caesar was talking nonsense, he could only take his words as true.

Makarov gave Caesar a deep look and instructed, "After all, you are the guild master of Fairy Tail now, so you need to be careful with your words and actions. Although I am the chairman of the council and can take care of things, sometimes I need to be selfless to avoid complaints from my subordinates. Do you understand?"

"I know, Chairman Phantom Lord."

Caesar nodded with a smile.

Makarov meant that if Caesar wanted to do something, he should do it cleanly and not give anyone any leverage over him.

As long as there's no evidence against him, Makarov would continue to cover for him.

Unless it's truly impossible to hide, we should handle things officially.

Caesar was aware of this, so he placed Betty's resurrection location directly in the northernmost, uninhabited area of the Alvarez Empire.

Even if such a commotion was significant, they couldn't possibly cross the ocean and an empire to cause him trouble, could they?

So, even if there were any problems with this matter, it ended here.

After giving his instructions and mocking him, Makarov went back.

After all, he's the Speaker of the Council now, and he's quite busy. It's already very kind of him to attend a meeting.

Caesar stayed behind. The meeting was supposed to last three days, but it was mostly over. The last two days would be spent exchanging ideas between the various guilds, which was mostly pointless.

Betty had just been resurrected, so she was still quite shy.

As the first person to see her, and also the one who resurrected her, Betty was very attached to Caesar. Whenever she had free time, she would hide behind him and secretly observe this new world.

Because Caesar had a wide network of connections, coupled with his pharmaceutical business, he naturally had many "good people" around him.

Betty, who was brought by Caesar, naturally showed her best side.

So after the three-day meeting ended, Betty became much more cheerful.

With Betty in tow, Caesar returned to Fairy Tail.

As soon as they returned to the guild, everyone looked at Caesar, and even more so at Betty, the little girl in his arms.

"This... you got a daughter after just one trip out?"

Marcao rubbed his eyes, saying incredulously.

"A daughter? Caesar has a daughter?"

Levy said with a shocked expression.

"Spread the word: Caesar started this relationship with Mira and then abandoned her, marrying someone else instead. Huh? Where are you all going?"

As the gossipy man watched the people around him flee, he instinctively turned his head and immediately met Caesar's ambiguous smile.

"Do you believe me if I'm just making this up?"

The other person gave a fawning smile, but looked like they were about to cry.

Caesar smiled and shook his head. The other person was really crying.

A moment later, Caesar carried Betty to the counter, pressed a light blue stamp on her hand, and then looked at her.

"Alright, from now on, you are a Fairy Tail guild mage."

Betty looked at the seal in her hand, then at the guy from before, who had a seven-star bump on his head shaped like a pagoda, and was half-squatting in a corner in a horse stance after being acupunctured.

She tilted her head and asked, "Is this Big Brother's guild?"

"Yes, it's pretty good, isn't it?"

Caesar smiled as he watched the group of people begin their lively banquet with Betty's addition.

"It always feels very noisy."

Betty said seriously.

"Don't you like it?"

Mirajane handed Betty a glass of juice with a gentle smile.

"No."

Betty shook her head, holding the juice, and said, "I really like it. It feels like it's been a very, very long time since I've felt this way."

Mirajane looked at Betty, her maternal love overflowing due to her pregnancy, and reached out to pat Betty's little head.

"This is Fairy Tail!"

Betty looked thoughtfully at the lively scene.

But the next moment, everyone showed Betty what it meant to be cool for only two seconds.

One moment they were having a lively banquet, the next they were fighting. The fight escalated, making Caesar's eyelids twitch.

He then took action, striking all of them with pressure points and forcing them to stand still, finally bringing the fight to a close.

Betty looked at the guys who were standing still, being punished by being forced to stand in place, and burst out laughing.

Hearing Betty's laughter, everyone turned to look at Caesar.

"At least give them some face!"

However, Caesar simply ignored it, clinked glasses with Betty, and took a sip of his drink.

A bunch of guys who never learned from their mistakes, standing as punishment was the quietest way to deal with them.
