Caesar dodged and landed on a gravel beach two kilometers away. At this moment, Serena was lying on the ground in a mess, staring blankly at the sky.
Seeing that Serena wasn't too badly injured, Caesar felt both impressed and speechless. The physique of Dragon Slayers in the Fairy Tail world was truly hard to understand—they were unbelievably tough.
The super-sized Rasengan he had used was enhanced with Fairy Chakra. With that kind of power, even if a Gundam stood before him, Caesar was confident he could blow it into a pile of scrap metal. Yet when it hit Serena, she wasn't even seriously hurt.
He sighed to himself, deciding that someday he'd test it on Natsu to see whether all Dragon Slayers were like this, or if Serena was just special.
"You're not dead, are you?" Caesar walked up to Serena, looking into his dazed eyes. "If you're still alive, get up. I'll treat you, and we'll fight again."
Serena's lips trembled, and he murmured something softly.
Caesar couldn't hear him clearly, so he leaned closer, finally catching the words: "Impossible... Impossible... I am the Eighth Dragon. How could I lose? Why would I lose? I don't believe it... I am the pinnacle of dragons... all dragons should decay before me..."
Watching Serena mutter in madness, Caesar's mouth twitched. "You still think you're the best? Where do you put Acnologia then? Even I'd turn and run if that black dragon showed up. Where do you get this confidence to talk nonsense?"
"Black Dragon... Acnologia..." Serena's eyes suddenly lit up with furious determination.
A deep, thunderous roar erupted from his throat, shaking the air. At the same time, immense magic power burst from his body, swirling and condensing into a thick energy barrier that surrounded him.
Then, his body began to morph—expanding, splitting, and transforming into eight enormous dragons, each of a different color.
Their scales glimmered, their eyes burned with fierce light, and their roars shook the ground as they lunged at Caesar.
Caesar sighed and unsheathed Hyorinmaru. "Wei Shan." With a single flash, the light of his blade cut through the air, and all eight dragon heads fell in an instant.
The magic energy dispersed, and Serena staggered back, glaring at Caesar. "Tyrant Caesar... I will remember you!" he growled, then turned and fled without hesitation.
"Ugh..." Caesar reached out helplessly, eyes full of regret. "My experience pack..."
Caesar returned to the experimental site feeling dejected. The entire area was half-destroyed from their battle.
By the time he arrived, Crawford and his team were already there.
Seeing the devastation and Caesar standing before him, Crawford's veins bulged as he roared, "Caesar! You again! Do you want to be locked in solitary confinement?!"
"Hey, don't blame me," Caesar said, raising his hands innocently.
"Serena attacked first. I just defended myself. Then the guy lost his mind and ran off. If you want someone to pay for the damage, find him. I've got nothing to do with it!"
Crawford's headache worsened.
He had wanted to use Serena as an ally against Caesar, but now Serena was gone.
Without him, Crawford knew he'd lose his position as Speaker sooner or later. Frustrated and hopeless, he swallowed his anger, turned around, and stormed off.
Caesar scratched his head, watching him leave. "You two really look alike. Maybe you should just get married," he muttered. Turning to Yajima, he asked, "Master Yajima, is the trial over?"
Yajima nodded. "You'll be detained for an hour. After that, you're free to go. And... please, try not to come back again."
Caesar agreed without complaint. He preferred being in the guild anyway—drinking and relaxing beat Council politics any day. After serving his hour, he left with Erza.
Back at the guild, Natsu immediately wanted to resume their fight, but Erza—still a bit distracted—hit him with her iron rod, sending him flying. With Natsu unconscious, the issue was settled.
Those who had bet on Erza winning went to Cana to collect their winnings, but Cana had already spent it all. When they demanded repayment, she refused, sparking another loud commotion.
Caesar sighed, tapped the floor with his finger, and everyone froze in place. "You guys are really hopeless," he said, then calmly began fixing tables and chairs. "Stand for three hours."
"What?! Wait, Caesar! We're sorry!""Yeah! They started it!""Shut up, you were the loudest!""Say that again!"
"...Natsu, Gray, five hours."
Both immediately wilted. "We were wrong..."
Caesar rolled his eyes and ignored them. Leaving them to stand in the corner was the best punishment.
When everyone finished their punishment, they mocked Natsu and Gray for still standing—including Happy, who laughed without mercy.
Caesar shook his head. If he were their guardian, they'd learn discipline the hard way.
Two days after Erza's trial, shocking news spread across Ishgar.
Serena, once one of the Ten Holy Wizards, had destroyed his entire hometown in a single day and vanished. The Council, unable to ignore such devastation, stripped him of his title and issued a wanted order.
The move temporarily restored their damaged reputation, but Caesar knew it wouldn't last. The Council had been deeply infiltrated, and its credibility was crumbling fast.
Now, with Serena's disgrace and the looming tension between Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord, things were about to explode.
If a Ten Holy Wizard got involved at such a time, the Council's authority would fall apart completely—and once the Speaker was dismissed and the Council reorganized, the chaos that followed would be something Caesar looked forward to watching unfold.
