LOGAN'S POV.
Lucius stood there for a moment, staring at Diana as if she were some mystery the world hadn't figured out yet. Then, without saying another word, he bent, picked up his black gloves from the floor, dusted them off, and slipped them back onto his hands.
His eyes met mine briefly as the look was sharp, unreadable and then he turned and walked away as his boots echoed on the rooftop until the sound faded completely.
That left only me, Diana, and the big white dog.
The night had gone quiet again, too quiet and the wind brushed over us, cool and almost soothing, but the tension that had happened earlier still hung heavy in the air. Diana was still trembling; her eyes darted between me and the dog as if both of us could snap at her at any moment.
"Hey," I said softly, crouching in front of her but my voice came out rougher than I intended, so I tried again, gentler this time. "Diana… look at me."
