Chapter 1 - The End is the Beginning

In the Sky-Breaker World

Kaito and his companions were battling the apocalyptic gods who continuously created a repetitive cycle.

Kaito's group, known as the "Sky Force," consisted of six members: Kaito Deluxe, the legendary thief; Reynata Swizt, the swordmaster; Arthur Clark, the prince of the seas; O'Gabriel La', the guardian of sacred ocean energy; Marra—SSS, the information expert; and Dewl, the weaponry specialist. They were all embroiled in a massive war called the "Great Wars," a battle against the apocalyptic gods who constantly overloaded the universe.

"Marra, can you and the others hold out here?"

"What's the matter, Kaito?"

"I've obtained the Magma Force, the oldest ocean energy, the Fruit of Light."

"Good, then you should go. Let me and the others hold the line here."

Kaito initially seemed hesitant to leave his companions, but with time running out and the climax of this war approaching, he had no choice.

"Alright … I hope you all can hold on while I'm gone."

"Don't worry about us, Kaito …"

"Just focus, big bro Kaito."

"As long as you don't forget us, go."

Someone from behind patted Kaito's shoulder.

"Huh? You …"

"I'm entrusting everything to you, Kaito. You are the last hope for all creatures across the world."

"Alright then …"

Before leaving, Kaito glanced at Marra one last time.

"Hmph … Smile, Kaito!"

"Marra, you …"

"I believe in you, and I hope we can meet again someday, in a different world or a different timeline."

"You … Alright, unite everything, System!"

[Initiating fusion process.]

[The three most powerful energies are being combined.]

[Magma Force, the oldest ocean energy, and the Fruit of Light are being fused.]

[Processing…]

"I hope I can obtain that energy … A power that is the greatest source of life … Heart of Flame."

[Process successful.]

[Energy ready for use.]

The system released streams of energy that surged rapidly into Kaito's body.

Kaito's body was filled with a new energy that enhanced his stats.

"Beyond—Chronicle Form."

That was the name of the form that became the hope of all living beings across the world.

"It's so dazzling … this light."

"This energy is unmistakable … It's likely one of the greatest and most powerful energies ever created."

"Kaito, you …"

"Alright, I'm going. Thank you, everyone …"

Kaito gave his final smile.

"FWOOSH!!"

Kaito soared at high speed, leaving his companions behind.

From the sky, small fragments appeared, signaling that what was coming was no longer mere warriors but …

The reality-destroyers …

The "Apocalyptic Gods."

"Crkkk—crack—KRAAKK!!"

"T-that's! … "

"Everyone, don't be afraid! Remember, we will fight until the end!!"

"Alright!!!"

All of Kaito's companions drew their weapons and unleashed their best abilities.

"Shk!"

"I'll be your frontline!" Marra's voice rang out firmly as she prepared for what they were about to face.

And the time had come …

"FWWOOP—BOOOM!"

Portals began to open, and the apocalyptic gods emerged from them.

The "Great Wars" were about to begin.

The apocalyptic gods looked down on the Sky Force as mere insects.

"FWWSH—Attack!"

In their divine forms, they began attacking the companions with their immense magical energy.

"Come on, everyone, charge!"

"Alright!!!"

"It's time to test my new weaponry …"

"Attack!!!"

Marra, Reynata, Arthur, O'Gabriel, followed by Dewl, charged at the apocalyptic gods.

A massive, unrecorded battle in history had just begun.

But this was not the end.

[Detected: At this speed, you are projected to collide with the highest defense object of the Kingdom of Heil!]

"I won't let that defense stop me!"

In Beyond—Space, with his new form, Kaito attempted to breach a defense of the Kingdom of Heil—a defense surrounded by a timeline that froze anyone because time did not flow as usual.

A timeline that could drive anyone to frustration when trying to penetrate it, even gods could not breach it carelessly.

A phenomenon that caused a being to experience no change or progress due to the cessation of the usual flow of time.

"Static of Time"

That was the name of the timeline, the strongest defense of the Kingdom of Heil.

[Static of Time detected!]

[Brace for impact!]

"No matter how strong this defense is, I must…"

Kaito increased his speed.

"Achieve my goal … Heart of Flame!"

"FWWWOOOOMMMM!!"

[You have entered the Static of Time.]

[Survive for 3 seconds!]

[Three.]

[Two.]

[One.]

"...…"

[You have successfully passed through the Static of Time.]

[However, you have lost some energy from your form.]

"Huh … Huh … Huh … There it is, the Kingdom of Heil!"

Kaito successfully passed through the Static of Time, but a new challenge awaited him as the only being capable of passing through it due to the cessation of time.

"Kingdom of Heil!"

A massive, radiant golden palace.

The dwelling place of the Elder Gods …

"No! I must hurry to that chamber before my time runs out!"

Kaito rushed toward a place called …

The core chamber of the gods' energy …

"Divine Core Chamber!"

Kaito finally arrived at the main gate.

"Finally made it, huh …"

[Warning!]

[The defenses inside are extremely strong!]

"No, I'll still enter for this!"

"THOOM … KRRRAAAKKK …"

The massive chamber door opened thanks to Kaito's power.

[Warning: "Beyond—Chronicle Form" will expire in 5 minutes!]

"I need to hurry and steal that object."

The legendary thief finally entered the legendary chamber.

The chamber that served as the core energy for the creation of various universes.

"Divine Core Chamber."

Kaito began observing the surroundings to locate the immense energy.

"If Marra was right, that energy can be felt even from a distance of 20 meters to several light-years."

"But I know in Heil, time doesn't flow, which is why it's called the 'Omnipotent' place of the gods."

[Major energy detected 15 meters from your location.]

[From the north, straight ahead!]

"That's the energy I'm looking for."

"SWOOSH!"

Kaito used his speed to reach the energy, as his "Beyond—Chronicle Form" would expire in 5 minutes.

[Energy is getting closer!]

"This is it!"

[Energy is getting closer!]

"Heart of Flame! This is what I've been searching for all this time!"

Kaito slowly took the object from its storage place called the "Cradle of Eternum."

The immense cosmic-scale energy, proof of the creation of various universes, was now in Kaito's hands.

"Heart of Flame," the energy that was the last hope for all living beings across multiple universes.

"I'll bring this to my friends … Hold on, everyone!"

"Tii-tii-tii … TAAANG!!"

[Warning: The Core Gods have detected you!]

[Please leave immediately!]

"Damn it …"

"KRAAAAK …"

The sound of the door echoed again, but it wasn't caused by Kaito!

It came from …

The Guardians protecting the chamber!

They were called "The Omega Guardians."

They ambushed Kaito in the Divine Core Chamber…

"We've caught you! Stop right there, you insolent mortal!"

"You're just a petty thief, so surrender before we kill you!"

[Time remaining for "Beyond—Chronicle Form": 2 minutes.]

[Please use a portion of the "Heart of Flame" energy to escape!]

[Before the gods find you!]

"This isn't as easy as I thought …"

One of the Guardians began attacking Kaito with various strikes.

Among them, one attacked with the "Spear of Destruction," but Kaito managed to dodge it.

Another threw a massive black orb resembling a black hole. Though one of their attacks missed, its destructive power was immense.

"BOOOOM!!"

"Damn it! I have to get out of here!"

Kaito flew toward the chamber's exit.

"SWOOSH!"

But it didn't end there; the Guardians continued to pursue Kaito.

Navigating the vast and branching rooms of the Kingdom of Heil, Kaito searched for the exit.

He opened every branch door to find the way out.

[You are trapped in a repeating cycle.]

"Damn it!"

"Stop this foolish escape, you lowly mortal!"

The Guardians' voices grew closer, signaling they were catching up to Kaito.

"Hmph … You think you can trap me here?"

Kaito fused the Heart of Flame with his system to draw some energy from the precious artifact.

"Are you sure?!"

[Some energy from the "Heart of Flame" artifact has been successfully extracted.]

[Processing in progress.]

"BOOOOM!"

A massive explosion struck the Guardians, creating a smokescreen that obscured their vision, and Kaito seized the opportunity.

"I hope I can get out of here quickly, but… where to?"

[A new storyline is being prepared!]

[The Illustrator, one of your investors, has a suggestion!]

"Huh? A suggestion?"

[The Illustrator: Go to a place with the highest existence, surpassing this one!]

"What place are you talking about?"

["Real World"]

"Huh? Real World?"

[Energy extraction successful.]

[Energy transfer in progress.]

The system released streams of energy from the "Heart of Flame." Kaito's body was visibly infused with the artifact's energy.

[Note: Due to the immense energy, the system only extracted 25% of its original amount.]

[Body adaptation process at 9%.]

"Ugh … This hurts!!!"

[Hold on!]

Kaito endured the burning pain in his body. The cosmic energy from the artifact was like fiery fuel scorching him. The overwhelming cosmic power was too much for Kaito to bear.

"Fwoooosh!"

Arrows began targeting Kaito's body.

"Huh?"

Kaito managed to dodge before the arrows could pierce him.

"Those attacks came from … the Omega Guardians!"

"Where do you think you're running, lowly creature!"

"Damn it, if my body stays like this, I won't be able to escape."

[Body adaptation requires approximately 1% more.]

"Damn it! Thunder Chronicles!"

A lightning spear attack now targeted the Omega Guardians.

"SWOOOM!"

"BOOOSH!"

"You bastard!!!"

The voice of one of the Guardians struck by Kaito's lightning spear echoed.

[Adaptation has reached 100%!]

[Energy ready for use!]

"Alright … It's time to …"

"Zzzap!"

A laser attack from one of the Guardians' eyes nearly hit Kaito.

"You won't escape, lowly creature!"

Kaito turned his head and gave a faint smile toward them.

"Hmph … Is that so? Goodbye, minions!"

"SHHRRMM—BLAAAM!!"

With his newfound energy, Kaito began to leave the Kingdom of Heil.

His speed surpassed anything before, even outmatching his strongest form, "Beyond—Chronicle Form."

"I have to go there!"

"That place …"

"Real World!"

With immeasurable speed, he caught the attention of the Primordial Gods and The Fourth Wall.

[Kaito, one of the characters from the book Mystery of the World.]

[Permitted to exit the book.]

"CRACK"

The dimension began to shatter, creating a portal that could pull anyone in.

"Huh? Dimensional fragments?"

The fragments began pulling Kaito in, and he entered the dimensional rift.

"Why am I here, and why am I moving forward?!"

Kaito looked confused by the situation. He noticed his surroundings filled with images, narratives, and characters he had seen before.

"These are … my friends!"

In the Sky-Breaker World

The Sky Force companions were struggling against the apocalyptic gods and their armies. They were growing exhausted by what they faced.

[Your stamina has been depleted!]

[Your stamina has been depleted!]

[Your stamina has been depleted!]

"No! This is exhausting."

"When we strike their fatal points, they recover as if nothing happened."

"Come on, friends! We don't know what will happen, but we must fight to the end!"

In a secret room, someone with an eye patch smiled, observing the events in the Sky-Breaker World.

"You're right! Because this is the end and the beginning of the real show!"

The figure began painting a red dot and pressed it.

"It's time!"

[Due to all Sky Force characters reaching the story's endpoint, a new worldline will begin.]

"Huh? A new worldline?"

[Characters who have reached the final scenario, broken the "Hall of Mystery," and completed several "History Returns" will be granted a special privilege.]

"A privilege?"

The painter continued to smile.

"Start it now!"

[Timeline restart will be initiated!]

A vortex began to form. Dark red streams enveloped it, signaling the end of everything.

[A vortex that brings apocalypse to all beings.]

[This vortex is called "Vortex of Destruction."]

"Don't tell me this is …"

"Marra! You mean …"

"Darklypse! He's coming!"

[Vortex of Destruction has reached its final form.]

"Damn it, we're out of time!"

"What else can we do? This is the end! And now I'm glad Kaito completed the 50th History Return."

"Marra … You …"

Marra only smiled at the remaining companions.

"I'm glad to have met you all at a time like this … And I hope we can meet again!"

[Goodbye, Sky Force companions!]

[It was a pleasure to meet you.]

"BOOOOM"

The Vortex of Destruction's explosion spread everywhere, affecting the upper realms, lower realms, and even ordinary realms.

Everything ended, and a new story would begin.

"Haha … It's time for me to work again, and I hope the readers enjoy this new story."

Though the Vortex of Destruction annihilated everything, the figure left behind key fragments to serve as the foundation for a new story.

"This destruction isn't total. I've left several core fragments to form the foundation of a new story, and I hope this process won't take long."

[Mystery of the World has lost its main character.]

[It will take hundreds of years to find a new main character.]

At night, in a library that hadn't yet closed,

A book accidentally fell, making a slight noise.

"Braak!"

"The sound of a book falling? Where did that come from?"

The fallen book caused its middle page to open, revealing a pattern of cracks on the paper.

"CRACK"

The cracks grew larger, and then…

"KRAKKK!"

Kaito's body emerged from a portal that opened on the book's paper.

Kaito looked exhausted, unaware of what he had just experienced, his eyes witnessing the event.

"Huh… Huh… Huh…"

[You are in the Real World.]

[Here, the system does not function, and your powers are inactive.]

[See you in the book.]

"So, they left me without the system or my powers, huh? No problem… It seems I can still read the books here."

"Goodness, was that noise from the book coming from here?"

"Oh no, there's someone else here? Alright, I need to get out of here."

Kaito left the bookshelf area, leaving the book in disarray due to his actions.

"Huh? I thought I heard someone here… Where did they go?"

"Sorry, excuse me."

"Yes, what is it?"

"I'd like to browse the books in this aisle, sir."

"Sure, but please hurry, as we're about to close."

The person speaking to the librarian was named Leon. He was a writer, analyst, researcher, and student at a prestigious university in the city.

"Alright, thank you, sir."

"You're welcome, kid."

The librarian left the room, and Leon began observing his surroundings.

"Here's the book that fell earlier … Alright, let's take a closer look."

Leon picked up the book from the floor and began examining it.

[*Mystery of the World.*]

"Mystery of the World, huh? Sounds interesting … Alright, I'll borrow this book and give it to her."

Leon left the aisle and headed to the borrowing counter.

"Nice to see you again, sir."

"You again, huh? Alright, what book do you want?"

Leon placed the book he had just picked up on the counter.

"This one, sir."

"Let me check it for a moment …"

"Alright."

The librarian began checking the book's details on his computer.

[Mystery of the World.]

[Volumes 1-20.]

"Wow, one of the legendary books that used to be very popular but is rarely read nowadays."

"Is it a good book, sir?"

"Yes, it's good, but it's been forgotten by readers. The great thing is, this is the full volume with a full license."

"Can I take it, sir?"

"Go ahead, it's free … This is your lucky day, kid."

Leon slipped the book into his bag.

"Alright, sir, thank you so much."

"You're welcome."

Leon left the borrowing counter and exited the library. Outside, he paused to check the messages on his phone.

[Have you eaten yet?]

[Where are you, buddy? We're having a big dinner.]

[Come to my place, Leon, I miss you.]

"A bunch of uninteresting messages, but this book …"

Leon looked at the book again with a puzzled expression.

"Hmph … I'll give this book to her tomorrow, and I hope she's recovered and can go to campus."

Leon walked away from the library.

On a starry night, in an apartment in the heart of London.

On the 9th floor, unit 9.

"I'm getting bored waiting for the latest chapter of this story … Khh … cough!"

"When is my brother coming? I hope he brings some good food … Khh … cough!"

I am Zahira Daffodil, the younger sister of Zayn Daffodil. I live alone in this apartment unit. While I've been here, my brother has been covering all the apartment and university expenses. Though we live separately, my brother often visits my apartment every Friday or Saturday night.

I have hobbies of reading books or novels, researching outer space, and painting. Since I live alone in this large apartment unit, I always fill my free time by reading a novel titled *Secret of Space*.

My favorite novel, which I've been reading since I was 15, and it still hasn't concluded.

"I've finished the 'Olympus and Nordic' arc, and now it's time to reread the 'Awakening of Stars' arc. It's a bit boring since the author hasn't updated the latest chapter."

Despite its exciting and engaging story, it's rarely updated by the author, making it less popular among readers. After reading over 800 chapters, I still haven't found the core of the story.

"Though it's boring, this story is my favorite and the only thing keeping me going in a world like this."

"Ding-dong!"

"Wow, has my brother arrived?"

I put my phone on the table and opened the door to see who was there.

"Click!"

When I opened the door, I saw …

"Brother? You … Welcome back!"

I immediately hugged him, expressing how much I missed him.

"Goodness, you still act like a little kid."

"You rarely come here anymore, how could I not miss you?"

"Alright, come sit down … I have a gift for your birthday."

I tilted my head, looking at my brother in confusion.

"A gift? Birthday?"

"Yeah, you seem to have forgotten your own birthday, huh?"

"N-no, brother … Alright, let's sit down."

"Okay, Hira."

I invited my brother to sit on the sofa, and he began placing the items he brought.

My brother often calls me Hira, while my friends call me Zira.

"Alright, since your birthday is tomorrow, can you guess what gift I brought for you?"

"Khh… cough! Okay… I guess it's…"

"Wait! You look like you're sick, Hira. Why didn't you tell me you were unwell?"

"I-it's, brother … Khh … Couhg!"

My brother immediately checked my condition, touching my forehead, throat, and nose.

My brother works as a doctor at a public hospital, which means I don't have to spend much on medical bills since he's my doctor.

"Alright, we'll deal with the gift later … You should rest first, Hira."

"But, brother …"

He took my hand, urging me to stand and go to my room to rest.

"Come on, Hira. If you're too weak, I'll carry you!"

"Huh? T-that … Alright, I'll rest, brother."

He helped me to my room and brought one of his items.

He opened my bedroom door, and as I was about to sit on the bed, he positioned me comfortably.

"Brother, you … Thank you."

"You should sleep and rest. But… don't you have a schedule to go to campus tomorrow?"

"Yes, brother, it's just to submit a report I've prepared."

"Alright, at least you need to rest, Hira."

My brother took a medicine and gave me a glass of water.

"But before you sleep, you should take this medicine first."

"Okay."

I took the medicine he gave me.

"Haah … Thank you, brother."

"Alright, sleep well and sweet dreams, little sister."

"Okay, brother."

I closed my eyes and rested.

My brother left my room, and before closing the door, he looked at me as I slept.

"I was about to give you this book, but oh well. Rest well, my little sister."

He closed the door, signaling that nighttime had arrived. And I hoped tomorrow would be better than the days before.

Good night, everyone.
