Chapter 6 - Episode 6

Send me stones or else! I really need them please to make sure there are actual people who enjoy this piece of writing. Any bit of interacting is fine with me.

Also, I forgot to add the playstyle of each player. I can't be asked to add their personality since most of them are fodder. But I'll give you their role in the team. So go to the auxiliary chapter.

-----------------------

A few days had passed and now it was time for us to play against Team X. I wasn't too bothered because I knew that we were decently organised. So I'm sure unless they have Rin or some other really top player then we would be fine.

Wait.. I came to Blue Lock for a challenge, so if they do have a top player then I should be glad.

After all, I am the strongest.

"The hell you mean I'm playing midfield! I scored a goal!" Ren yelled out in frustration.

"Why the hell is Isagi playing striker!?" Tameguchi complained.

"Because I scored twice, unlike you who had the chance to do so in a game where you could play how you want!" I retorted.

"They were all lucky goals!" he replied.

"Then you got unlucky, tough deal with it, to me you're nothing but trash playing at right back," I said.

"Enough, enough! Let's not get too heated. After this match, we can have another mini-game to determine the positions next time!" Haiji suggested trying to calm down the situation.

"He's right, focus on the match or you'll fall behind in jealousy," Ayumu said.

As we walked down into the field I managed to go and assess their team. It wasn't exactly a super team but it wasn't terrible.

[Team X lineup] (comments)

The only person I recognised from the original was the sneaky assassin or ninja.

Otoya Eita.

He would probably carry them in this match, but that's unless a new player shows up like Ren did. Knowing Ego he wouldn't just leave a team with Otoya without any other geniuses on them.

"So that's Team X, pretty hard to tell if they are all better than us!" Tokito said.

"Hmm.." was the grunt of Hiori.

"Everyone get in position!" Haiji commanded. With that, everyone else followed his lead and got into their agreed-upon some with grumbling expressions.

As the starting whistle blew, Team X started with the ball. And they were truth be told a chaotic mess.

There was no coordination between them, this was what Team Z probably would've been if not for me. Luckily, I had managed to propose the mini-game.

Even though they were really chaotic, they still managed to cause a lot of trouble and got relatively close to our goal.

But in that chaos, Otoya slithered his way through the crowd, stole the ball.

It seemed that he used the chaos to use his silent/shadow step to divert attention away from him. Patience was the key in this attack, so once team X had gotten close enough he took advantage of everyone focusing on the ball and slithered his way through and stole the ball from his teammate.

After stealing the ball, he took a shot and it glided right past Genda right into the goal.

0-1

It's just like Ego intended. Out of that chaos, a king would appear and Otoya seemed to fit that perfectly.

"Now that took some skill, even with metavision I didn't even notice him!" I muttered to myself. To be honest, if I had focused then I probably would have but even so, I had trained metavision so much that I could instinctively use a slightly lowered version 24/7.

"Say what Isagi? It was an incredible goal, wasn't it! Now as a striker are you ready to deliver one of your own?" Hiori said towards me.

"That's my job, isn't it? Give me the ball and you'll get a goal!" I replied.

Sometimes I forget that Hiori is actually kind of a chill person. He really gave a lot of key advice to the original Isagi before the U21 match. That awakened version of him just really gave me the chills.

"You're going to score a goal you say?" Kurona asked while coming towards us.

"You betcha! Just give me the ball!" I said, "Pretty sure you saw my two goals, I can say with absolute certainty that it wasn't just luck I'm sure you two can understand that!" I finished.

"Don't leave me out of this little corner! Give me the ball as well, Kurona!" Ren remarked, joining the little circle.

"Whatever man, the next goal is mine!" I proclaimed.

The whistle for kick-off started and Kurona passed me a quick pass while going upwards in the field.

I knew what he was tryna say but I would have to stop his plans for now it's too early for him to show his true abilities.

"Sorry Kurona but I need Hiori!" I yelled so he could hear me. Hiori seemed a bit shocked but complied.

Once I passed the ball backwards to him, he dribbled past three players before passing me the ball. Their chaotic movements meant that they weren't organised thus meaning that he was easily able to get past them.

"Isagi take it and show me something!" Hiori said while passing me the ball.

"Say no more!" I activated my true metavision. I want to see whether or not to fool them by saying dribbling or shooting is my ability.

Which one would be more logical? My shooting was comparable to Kaiser's after the vigorous training I did for 5 years. And my dribbling is kind of weak but still good enough for this level.

Well, I will go for the weaker ability and dribble past them.

"Isagi, I'm open," Ren said.

"Hmmm."

I thought about it, he was the most open but I could go on and score an amazing solo goal. The thing is I'm not sure if he is going to pass back to me but he is way too far up in the wing to accelerate which is his main means of dribbling, which means out of 10 times he will pass the ball back 7 times.

"Take it then!" the player on me heard that tried to intercept it but was faked by me. After that, I did a lob pass all the way over to Ren.

He managed to get past one player but was still too far to shoot and dribbling more would cost him the ball due to not being able to accelerate.

My perfect victory!

Ren lobbed a pass towards me and I jumped up and volleyed it.

1-1

[Goal Drawing here] Made by yours truly, yeah it is based on the bunny Iglesias goal, don't mind his hand.

"Can you call that luck now huh!" I said towards Tameguchi.

He looked more stunned than angry.

"What? Surprised that I'm a good player!" I had first tried to use dribbling but now I had scored a goal without unveiling any of my talents.

"Tchh lucky goal!" Tameguchi replied. I could tell that he had acknowledged me as a striker.

One time is lucky, the second time is a coincidence but the third time it cannot just be based on luck, it is skill. (A/N: The goat usually ends with but the third time is an enemy but in this case, it didn't really make sense so I just improvised my bad)

"Yet again I really have to ask, are all the players on Team X better than all of Team Z?" Haiji asked himself.

"I don't get why everyone is in shock! I scored twice in the mini game losers!" I remarked.

"They were shitty goals that you picked off deflections, you were basically seen as a garbage man picking up litter and putting it where it was supposed to be," Ayumu explained to him.

Haiji then told us to get back into position and let the game continue.

It had only been 20 minutes but so much had gone on. 2 goals.

"Aye, I guess this team Z guys aren't too bad huh?" a boy with light brown hair and aqua blue eyes said.

"But for someone born where I was, it's all lightwork… Kazuki Nomura will take down Team Z!" Kazuki pronounced.

Another interesting character, the only thing was whether he had the talent to back it up.

"Wait a minute… Kazuki Nomura, the U-20 futsal champion? Also one of the brightest street football players?" Ren asked.

"That's me! But you should really be worrying about the goal about to come!"

In that split second the ball was passed to him, due to Ren's outburst he had also gained the aura of King of the field alongside Otoya.

Hiori wasn't faced with the fact that he was a football genius or something and went up to press him.

"Nuts! Keep your legs closed next time," Kazuki muttered towards Hiori, unfortunately for Hiori he reacted too late and the ball had already passed through his legs.

He did a few step-overs to get past Ayumu and went past Ren pretty easily because his defensive ability was atrocious. I can see why he played as a striker, not as a winger in his school team. (This is inferred because blue lock is a place for strikers and he is MY oc)

"Don't think that dribbling is the only thing I got!" He readied his foot for a shot and Kurona was there to stop him with a sliding tackle.

"Keep sliding idiot!" He said towards him and faked the shot. Then he readied his shot again and shot towards Genda.

Genda was yet again unable to stop the shot and it slipped right into the net.

1-2

"Ren, I think it is time for you to show off again!" I said towards him.

He just nodded.

"Kurona I'm planning on some link-up plays. I think it is time that we show Team X what Team Z is all about!" I said.

"I'm ready."

Kick-off started again. We started quickly with quick link-up plays with Kurona. He would dribble past a few and then pass me the ball.

The counter-attack was quick and precise. Kurona and I couldn't be stopped until they decided to double-team both of us.

"Just as planned!" I lobbed a pass towards Ren and he had plenty of space to use his speed. The thing about him is that he is unable to get fast unless he has a lot of space, he needs to accelerate and isn't just fast from the get-go. It's like when you think you are going at the same pace he suddenly gets a lot faster.

"Perfect Isagi!"

He started his pace abuse, getting past one, two and three players and readjusting himself from the wing to a more central position in the field. After doing this he proceeded to blast the ball into the goal leaving the goalkeeper unable to do anything.

2-2

To be honest, Ren was a really overpowered player; the only thing he needed to work on was his starting pace.

After the praises from the team were over, Team X started again with the ball. It was really just a back-and-forth game. You score a goal then I score a goal. We needed a clear advantage but I'm waiting for my team to develop so I can have a much more fun time in later matches.

Plus I'm content with what I have shown. It wasn't like I wasn't scoring goals just not ones which would seem inhuman to them. I'm ok with that… right?

But why am I still holding back? So that they can evolve? It makes me sick. I've got people like Bachira, Nagi, Shidou and Rin who are worth awakening. Just because I got a little bit shook by Hiori doesn't mean that I should just let them all awaken and I should be left in the dust to eat at their success while waiting for them to catch up.

"I've been a fool! I made a plan that only benefited others and not myself! I am an egoist after all!!!"

"Dude why are you talking to yourself, maybe you need to take some schizo pills!" Tokito said, approaching me in confusion.

"Sorry about that, I was just thinking about a few things."

"Whatever you say, dude."

Team X was progressively getting closer and closer meaning that they would eventually be scoring again but I wouldn't let that happen.

Fully activating meta-vision, I managed to pin down the pattern in their movements and stole the ball before they could pass it to Otoya.

"You won't be stealing any more goals while I'm around ninja," I said to him.

He just smiled and tried to tackle me, using his centre of gravity and taller figure against him I managed to get him stumbling a little bit. Team X looked a little bit shocked that their strongest player seemed to have been passed so easily.

"Bunch of half-baked players on the pitch, this technique isn't complete but it's enough for lukewarm players like you!" I said while dribbling past their entire team. I wasn't using any flashy dribbling techniques.

Only slight feints, moving to spaces with a lot of space, pushing them off their centre of gravity and whatnot. The slight movements that most players don't tend to notice.

I worked my way up to the last man and Team Z watched in amazement as the mediocre player they knew dribbled past an entire team and…

*BOOM*

Was the sound of the ball entering the goal.

3-2
