After leaving the Shen family, Shen Mu drove to the secret base.
On New Year's Eve, Huo Yunxiao was not in the apartment. He had already said that he and Huo Yunchen would go back to their old house for a family reunion dinner early in the morning.
Shen Mu's stomach was growling with hunger. She got up and rummaged through the fridge for a pack of frozen dumplings, threw them into boiling water, and managed to make some dumplings.
As the dumplings boiled in the pot, Shen Mu absentmindedly turned on the TV, which was playing the Spring Festival Gala. Tang Yu had just taken the stage to sing.
Suddenly, her phone rang. She saw that it was Huo Yunxiao calling and answered, "Miss Shen."
"Happy New Year, Miss Shen," the man's voice was deep and carried a hint of laughter. It was probably not as chaotic in the Huo family as it was in the Shen family.
Shen Mu smiled slightly, "Happy New Year, Mr. Huo."
Huo Yunxiao asked, "What are you doing?"
