The cup shattered under Shen Mu's feet as she took two steps back and left the hospital room without a word. As soon as she stepped out, someone pulled her into their arms. She sniffed the familiar scent and was surprised to find it was Huo Yunxiao.
"Yunxiao?" she said, pulling him into the elevator. "How did you find me here? What if someone from the Shen family sees us?"
Huo Yunxiao frowned. "I don't think I'm that shameful," he said.
"It's not about being shameful," Shen Mu said. "I'm the one who's taking the blame for this. If the Shen family finds out about us, they'll come after you."
Huo Yunxiao's eyes sparkled with amusement. "What's our relationship?" he asked.
Shen Mu was taken aback. She opened her mouth to say something but then snapped, "You're making fun of me!"
Huo Yunxiao didn't push the issue. Instead, he lifted her chin and examined her face. "Did you get hit?" he asked.
"No," Shen Mu shook her head. "I was stopped by Ou Jin."
